"So you're telling me..that this completely visible, normal, healthy looking guy is a closet monster?"

Doyoung asked while trying to process everything around him. He was currently sitting face to face with Jungkook in their couch. Doyoung was judging Jungkook from head to toe, trying to figure out and make sense of what he saw at the rooftop about half an hour ago.

How? What? Why? When? HOW?

Lily and this Jungkook guy have been trying to explain the whole situation to him but he couldn't believe what was happening. Who could? Would you be able to believe that your one and only friend has been hanging around someone unworldly? A demon on top of that?

"Oh my God, I need a beer for this,"Doyoung said while getting up and heading to the kitchen. When he opened the refrigerator he was once again shocked. One side of the refrigerator held a few beers and another side was filled with...banana milk? Normally her fridge stays full with beer and soju. What the heck is this?

Doyoung frowned. As far he can remember Lily hates flavored milk. Then why..

"Hey, I will get some beer and snacks for you,"Doyoung jumped up slightly at the sudden voice behind him. He quickly turned around to see Jungkook standing behind him.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. You can sit at the living room and I can bring you your beer,"Jungkook said.

"Okay,"Doyoung brushed past him while bumping into him intentionally to probably intimidate him a bit. Which might be a bad idea considering he might not be human after all but he still thinks this guy is somehow taking advantage of Lily.

The conversation continued while Doyoung and Lily drank the beer Jungkook brought them and Jungkook slurped a bottle of banana milk. Doyoung was judging him intensely once again. So he is the one that drinks banana milk in this house. Doyoung could tell he felt uncomfortable under Doyoung's judging eyes, but he didn't care.

"You're gonna burn a hole in his face,"Jungkook said to Lily who was intensely judging Doyoung said whilst sipping her beer. She was still really angry at him. Well he expected that, of course. The only reason she isn't attacking Doyoung right now for pulling this shit he pulled today is probably this Jungkook guy.

"So...he is really not a human?"Doyoung asked for the nth time after calming his nerves with beer.

Lily sighed out loud,"You little fucker, for how long have I been trying to say that he's fucking not."

"But he looks like a huma.."

"Does he fucking need a tattoo on his fucking forehead saying 'Haha, thought I was a human? Lol sike' for you to believe? You literally saw him teleport and shit, didn't you?"

"Lily, calm down please,"Jungkook said,"You should understand that this isn't an easy situation to process."

"What's so hard to process?"Lily asked.

"That my fucking friend has been hanging out with a fucking demon?"Doyoung sighed.

"Exactly, not every human can easily accept the fact that they are in front of a demon as easily as you did, Lily,"Jungkook said,"Trust me on this."

"Yeah, exactly thank you,"Doyoung said.

Lily turned to Jungkook while frowning,"You ungrateful little brat, you're supporting him? You don't even know him. I feed and clothe you."

Jungkook shrugged and smiled,"I was just stating a fact."

Doyoung looked at both of them conversing carefully. It's the first time he has seen Lily talk to someone like that. She was giving off a positive aura.

"I'm sorry guys, can you tell me y'alls whole story once again?" Doyoung asked,"I'm just confused."

Lily sighed loudly. But Jungkook smiled,"I will. It's perfectly fine."

Jungkook then proceeded to tell him everything in detail. From when she moved out, how he tried to scare her to gain power, how she first talked to him, how he saw all the things she does, how  they started talking, how they formed a bond. Jungkook laid out a lot in front of him. Lily didn't stop him. Doyoung listened to every detail carefully.

"So you're telling me you're gonna protect her in the world and also in underworld? Also find her father?"Doyoung asked him.

Jungkook nodded.

"I don't know, it seems to good to be true to me,"Doyoung said, genuinely,"Are you scamming her or something? Are you really gonna fulfill your promises? Or are you just all talk?"

"I really will fulfill all my promises. Because I'm also benefiting off of her,"Jungkook smiled.

"I don't know, man,"Doyoung said and sighed.

Lily rolled her eyes,"Look at his face, does he look like a scammer to you?"

"Well, he does have a face of a seducer, scammer..so.."

Lily looked at Jungkook for a second,"Well he does kind of look like a conman, but trust me I know he isn't.."

"Excuse me?"Jungkook screamed at Lily,"Conman? Me?"

Lily smirked at him. Jungkook sighed and then looked at Doyoung,"I really am not scamming her. I'm gonna keep my promises."

Doyoung knows that there's a big chance that a devil can break whatever promise he has made, but for some off reason he wants to trust Jungkook. Is it because the way Lily communicates with him? Is it because the positive changes he has brought in his deranged, insane, emotionless friend? Never in his life had he thought that Lily's fridge would be full with food. Never had he thought that her house would seem homey and actually have furniture. Like her living room has a couch, a tv and table and even a potted plant. That seems like a dream. Never in his life he thought Lily would be waiting for someone's messages.

This Jungkook guy really brought a lot of changes in her that Doyoung wanted to bring for years.

Should he trust this guy?

He is the only guy that can seem to fix Lily.

He is the only one that Lily has ever opened up to. Except Doyoung of course, he has been there with her since the start.

Doyoung mentally laughed at the fact that a demon is the one eligible to fix Lily. Not a human.

Doyoung was silently watching as Lily was smirking at Jungkook and Jungkook was throwing glares her way. That felt right for some reason. Doyoung can't explain it.

Lily suddenly turned to Doyoung,"So now that we are done discussing and that I proved your skeptical ass wrong, shall we now talk about this?"Lily asked while she got a small tracking device out from behind her phone's cover,"Would you kindly explain this, before I kill you?"

Oh no.

"Lily, calm down,"Jungkook said.

"No, I've been calm for long enough,"Lily said,"How could you do this to me? Do you have a death wish? Do you not remember when I said if you ever try to do track me or wiretap me, I will kill you? You really think you can do anything you please just because I've been nice?"

"Lily, no, it's not like that. I was fucking worried for you," Doyoung said.

"So you decided to stalk me when you clearly promised you would never meddle in my shit,"Lily said.

"Well, if you were careful about yourself I wouldn't have to do that. You literally go around seeking for danger. Is it wrong of me to make sure you are not in deep shit?"

"How I live my life is not your problem, you should be content as long as you are not in danger."

"Lifuckingly, is it so hard for you to understand that I don't want you to land in trouble? And I don't want you to die? I wouldn't have to do this if you didn't go around befriending devils instead of exorcising them."

Their voices were raising simultaneously as they were talking. And this went on for awhile. Jungkook seemed to be patiently quiet for a long time watching them two fight back and forth like children. But after awhile his patience ran out.

"Who even asked you to care about me? I didn't,"Lily said,"You promise breaking bast-"

"TWO OF YOU FOR PETE'S SAKE SHUT THE HELL UP!"

Lily and Doyoung both flinched at Jungkook's sudden scream and turned to him.

"Jungkook-"Lily called softly. But Jungkook seemed to be in a fit of rage.

"ARE BOTH OF YOU 5 YEAR OLDS? IS IT SO HARD TO JUST TALK IT OUT INSTEAD OF FIGHTING? BOTH OF YOU WERE IN THE WRONG."

"What? No, what did I even do-"

Before Lily could finish Jungkook looked at her and said,"YOU, how could you point a gun at your friend? No matter what he's done, what kind of stunt was that? It could have been solved so easily, all you had to talk clearly to him instead of randomly bringing up a closet demon to a normal human."

"Yeah see? I'm right.."Before Doyoung could finish Jungkook looked at him,"AND YOU, how could you plant a tracking device on her? I thought you knew her for over almost two decades? Did you expect rainbows and unicorns after she found out what you did? And on top of that you've broken her trust."

"Oh,"Doyoung slowly looked down. He can't believe he's currently being scolded by a closet demon. But what he is saying is hundred percent accurate though.

"You both should apologize to each other,"Jungkook said while taking a deep breath. He seemed to be done letting all of his anger out.

Doyoung and Lily both screamed out loud,"Apologize? Me? Oh hell no." It was followed by a glare at each other.

Jungkook frowned,"Yes you would."

"Never!"They Both shouted again.

Jungkook once again took a deep breath,"Lily, if you don't apologize to him right now be ready to say bye bye to your records.."

"JUNGKOOK!"

"Shut up, and Mr. Doyoung. You've met me for the first time, do you want to test my powers on the very first day?"

Doyoung slowly gulped as Jingkook sounded scary.

Jungkook continued,"Let me answer that for you, no you don't. So both of you face each other, look at each other, hold each other's hand and apologize."

Lily frowned,"Hold hands? In your dreams.."

Jungkook glared at her,"I saw it on tv and it is a great learning experience for five year olds."

"Excuse me?"Doyoung asked.

"Yes, both of you children now start, quick. We don't have all day before I do something bad."

Lily and Doyoung both sighed and faced each other and slowly held each other's hand while looking at each other.

"Why am I doing this?"Lily muttered under her breath.

"Is he insane like you?"Doyoung asked quietly.

"Yes."

"QUICK!"Jungkook shouted.

Lily sighed and glared at Doyoung while muttering under her breath,"I hate you."

"Lily!" Jungkook shouted.

Lily again sighed and closed her eyes to prepare herself and then she opened her eyes and looked straight at Doyoung,"I'm sorry for pointing a gun at you even though you were at the wro.."

"Try again,"Jungkook said.

Lily gritted her teeth,"I'm sorry, for pointing a gun at you, Doyoung."

Doyoung nodded,"I'm also sorry for breaking your trust. I..I really am. But you have to understand that I'm worried about you. You are the only one I've left in my life."

Doyoung didn't mean to go so deep. It just happened. He immediately felt embarrassed and left her hands while looking away. Doyoung couldn't see Lily's reaction but Jungkook had a content smile on his face,"Good job guys. See how easy it was?"

"Easy, my foot,"Doyoung said.

Jungkook chuckled,"Anyway both of you have apologized now, so no more awkwardness, no more trying to kill each other. Okay?"

Right then the calling bell rang.

"Oh, seems like pizza is here,"Lily said.

"I will get it,"Jungkook said and ran to get the pizza.

"Your closet Monster is.."Doyoung started.

Lily finished the sentence for him,"Weird? I know."

"He doesn't match the image any normal person would have of a closet monster. At all. And he acts like a kindergarten teacher."

"I know right,"Lily said and paused,"You know you can look at me now, right? Don't worry, I won't make fun of you for your overly sentimental and dramatic apology."

Doyoung shot his face at her and glared,"You are the worst."

Lily smirked and shrugged,"Still the only person in your life."

Doyoung wanted to smack her with a pillow but before he could Jungkook came back with two boxes of pizza and set it down on the table.

"Guys, come quickly!"

Jungkook was pleased by the fact that the mood of the house had turned light. There was no awkwardness in the house anymore and the three of them were normally enjoying pizza. Lily didn't try to rip Doyoung's head off and Doyoung wasn't judging Jungkook from head to toe anymore so Jungkook was satisfied. Doyoung was slowly accepting Jungkook. They even chit chatted a bit while eating pizza. Amidst of light conversations and Lily's dark humor Doyoung realized something.

"Hey!"Doyoung suddenly blurted out loudly,"So closet monsters really exist, Huh?"Doyoung then looked at Lily as if he were really curious about something,"So does that mean the one you talked about in childhood was also re.."

Before Doyoung could finish lily kicked his leg under the table hard. The sound could be heard loudly.

"Ouch!"Doyoung cried,"Why would you do that?"

Lily just casually bit her pizza and shrugged.

Jungkook was watching this whole scene go down silently. A lot of questions roaming around in his head. What was Doyoung saying?

The one she talked about in childhood...?

Did she possibly come across another closet demon when she was a child? Is that why she was so calm when she saw him? Then why did she never tell him that? Why is she trying to hide that from Jungkook?

The rest of the night passed by was eventless. They talked, bickered, Doyoung nagged her, she just rolled her eyes at him and the he was ready to leave for the night. Before leaving Doyoung turned to Jungkook and whispered,"Listen, I don't honestly care if you are a closet demon or whatever, don't try to hurt Lily. Really. Otherwise I will haunt you down."

Jungkook chuckled,"Trust me, if I ever try to hurt her she would be the one to haunt me first."

"True that,"Doyoung smiled,"I'm gonna go now."

"Yeah. Drive safely."

After Doyoung left Jungkook closed the door and went into the kitchen where Lily was washing the dishes while humming a song.

"Did he leave?"Lily asked, when she felt Jungkook's presence behind her.

"Yup,"Jungkook said while coming and sitting on the kitchen counter beside her.

Lily nodded and went back to humming one of the songs she listens to the most. That song is utterly beautiful.

Jungkook looked at her while she washed the dished and slowly brushed the strand of hair away from her face. She neither flinched, nor stopped washing the dishes. But she stopped humming. It's hard to tell what was going on in her mind right now.

"Lily-ah?"

"Hmm?"

"You saw a closet monster before you met me, am I correct?" Jungkook asked,"In your childhood?"

That's when she paused washing the dishes for a little while.

Jungkook smiled,"I had a suspicion for a long time. Why didn't you tell me?"

Jungkook could tell Lily was taken aback by his sudden question. She was still like a statue. No movement, no reply.

"It's okay, if you don't want to tell me about it. I get it, childhood memories can sometimes be traumatizing..."

"Jungkook-ah, Let's not talk about that,"Lily said quietly.

Jungkook nodded and got down from the counter,"I'm sorry if I reminded you of bad memories."

"No, it's fine, Jungkook."

Jungkook once again nodded. Lily didn't say anything further. He suddenly felt sad. He knows, feeling like this is extremely stupid but he cannot help it.

"I'll be in the living room if you need me,"Jungkook said and walked towards the exit of the kitchen.

Lily's sudden call stopped him.

"Jungkook-ah?"

"Yes?"Jungkook turned around to her.

"Are you sad that I didn't tell you that?"

Jungkook sighed,"Honestly? I am a bit sad. I don't understand why, but I honestly feel a bit hurt that you hid that from me. I know it's not a big deal but I thought we were close but I guess not. Gosh..I'm making no sense,"Jungkook chuckled.

"Jungkook-ah, are you developing an emotional attachment to me?"Lily asked calmly out of the blue. Still not looking away from the dishes.

Jungkook was once again taken aback,"Emotional attachment?"

"Don't. Jungkook-ah, I get it. I'm the first human you're interacting after a long long while. But honestly..I'm not a good person, Jungkook. I don't even have the intention of becoming one. I'm sure you can already tell. And I have a lot of secrets. I'm hiding a lot and I don't think I would ever be able to share those shit anyone. So don't grow an attachment to me, don't expect anything from me. Don't even expect friendship from me. I'm just..."Lily didn't finish her sentence,"Yeah. That's all I had to say."

Jungkook felt sincerity in her voice. He slowly came and sat back on the counter while looking at her side profile,"Lily. It's okay if you don't want to share anything with me. I will deal with my feelings alone. But the fact that you are trying to distance me from you..I won't accept that. You and I are in a bond..remember? Partners till life. How can you expect me to not grow attached to you?"

"How can you after you've seen the shit I do?"Lily asked,"Jungkook, I'm not normal. Nothing about me is normal."

Jungkook shrugged and chuckled,"Probably because I'm secretly as fucked as you."

Lily finally looked at Jungkook.

Jungkook smiled,"And I secretly believe you are a good person, Lily. I know you are gonna throw a temper tantrum right now as I said it, but I truly believe that whatever you've been through has turned you like this. You honestly are not like this. That's just what I believe."

Lily shook her head,"I'm not a good person.."

"Yeah yeah..I just told you what I believe. I'm entitled to my own opinion."

Lily sighed,"That's what too much internet does to you, Jungkook."

Jungkook smiled cheekily,"I'm gonna show it to you one day."

"Suit yourself,"Lily said.

Jungkook nodded,"Mark my words. I'm gonna prove it to you no matter."

Lily didn't answer for awhile. The stayed there in silence while Lily finished washing the dishes. While she was putting them back in their place she broke the silence,"I'm glad."

"Huh?"

"I'm glad that you're not like him. The first demon I met,"Lily looked at him,"You're..you're way better."

Jungkook was confused,"What?"

"You're way better, Jungkook. But is that even good? Are devils allowed to be like you? Believing and humans and trying to bring out their good side and shit?"

"I mean.."

"You weren't always like this, were you, Kook? Something might've happened to turn you like this. Making you fall from hell and make you closet demon."

"Lily.."Jungkook paused, gulping as he realized he is still not ready to talk about that with Lily. Or anyone for that matter.

Lily smirked as if she understood what he was thinking,"Seems like we both have secrets, Jungkook."

Jungkook did not know what to say.

Lily was done putting the dishes in their place and said,"Let's go watch some tv of something."

"Lily-ah."

"Hmm?"

"I will one day..tell you my secret."

"Well you don't need to if you don't want to."

"I'm gonna. Because..I want us to be friends Lily."

"What?"Lily frowned.

Jungkook smiled, knowing damn well how stupid that sounded. But he meant it,"I wanna be your friend that you can share your everything with. And that can share his pain with you."

"Jungkook, I think there's a misunderstanding..I'm not in pa.."

"Yeah sure sure,"Jungkook chuckled,"So Anyway..will you wait for me till then?"Jungkook asked that question with utter sincerity. He knows this might come across as a scheme to get lily to open up to his but honestly it isn't. He also wants to share his pain with someone. His feelings with someone. And that someone is Lily.

Lily was quiet. Jungkook didn't know if she was just shocked or unamused.

"Lily?"

"Jungkook, you really are fucked up,"Lily commented,"And weird."

Jungkook chuckled while looking down,"So would you?"

"I..I guess I will,"Lily quickly said in order to not feel embarrassed and quickly changed the topic,"Let's go watch tv. We've had too much of a heavy conversation in the kitchen while washing damn dishes. Oh I feel claustrophobic here,"Lily said while quickly stomping out of the kitchen and fanning herself. All of that just to save herself from 'embarrassment' of saying she would wait for him. 'Embarrassment' of slowly opening up to someone.

Jungkook chuckled while shaking his head. He got down from the counter and got two beers out of the refrigerator. Even though she has already drunk a full can of beer while Doyoung was here, Lily is soon gonna ask for another to calm herself anyway. It's better he takes it to her first. Jungkook doesn't normally drink beer. But today he took one for himself as well.

It was a long long day today!

"Hey, aren't you coming?"Lily screamed from the living room,"Running man is airing."

"Coming!"Jungkook smiled and walked out of the kitchen with beers in his hand.

Long but such a fruitful day.
