Valentina was forced to move to a new school but only the idea terrifies her because she thinks that others can deride her for her blindness. Well you got it right, unfortunately she was born Czech but although many people laughed at her, her parents were always by her side. Valentina has always hoped to find someone who would love her but now she has lost hope. What he doesn't know is that the love of his life will meet him in his new school ...
"Valentina! Are you happy to start school?" mom asks
"I could say I am both excited and terrified, mom" Valentina replies
"How come you're terrified, honey?" Mum asks, concern evident in her voice
"I am frightened by the idea that someone can make fun of me, after all this is why we moved ..." Valentina says sadly
"Don't worry honey, we'll always be there for you," replies the mother
"Thanks mom, are we going now?"
"Of course, you certainly don't want to be late!" Mother jokingly exclaims
"Here we go!"
The trip by car was silent and as soon as they arrived at school, Mom reassured Valentina by saying that she shouldn't have worried.
At the entrance to the school many people have already targeted her but the warm welcome of the teachers comforted her.
"Hi honey, I will be your teacher who will help and follow you in everything, don't worry about your blindness, I have seen many people who have it and I know it is not a beautiful thing but you can trust me." says a woman.
"Okay, thank you, miss," says Valentina
"Oh don't worry, just call me Elena" "Okay"
As soon as she enters the classroom, Valentina was introduced by the teacher: "Guys this is Valentina, unfortunately she is Czech so you try to make her feel at ease, okay?" "Okay," the pupils reply in chorus.
While Valentina walks the benches she can't help but hear some laughter here and there but she ignores them and settles in her place. The person at her side does not seem to worry about her and her problem but during the lesson she grabs her hand and whispers: "Try not to get close to me, people like you hate them" "What?" "You got it right, leave me alone did you get it?" "Okay ..." "And woe to you say something" "Okay" says Valentina, evident sadness in her voice. "Is something wrong with Valentina?" Elena asks. "It's okay ..." "Okay but if something happens don't hesitate to tell me ok?" reassures Elena, "pathetic Pff" derides the boy but Valentina ignores him and replies: "Thank you miss, at least she's there for me"
The boy could not help but feel a small pang in the chest hearing those words but does not show it.
