~ Third Person P.O.V ~

Things between the two boy's were . . . awkward to say the least. They barely spoke to each other, unless absolutely necessary, and the two rarely shared looks throughout the day. It was quite hectic in the house, and soon enough guests began to arrive- talks and meetings were all ready being set in motion.

Izuku was at the front door, checking off people on the guest list- only to stop when he noticed a certain name that popped up.

"Well, well, well- you clean up nicely Mido," Todoroki chuckled, shoving his hands deep into the pockets of his slacks. "I didn't expect to see you here."

"I'm getting paid extra," Izuku replied with a heavy sigh, crossing the duel haired man's name off the list. "Kacchan's not coming with you?" He asked, peeking his head out the door in search of his blond friend.

An amused smirk lifted the corners of the heterochromatic boy's mouth upwards. "Nah, he said- and I quote 'I don't want to waste my time being around a bunch of shitty rich people,' but can you blame him?" Todoroki snickered, motioning to all the people throughout the room.

"No I can not," Izuku sighed, somewhat envying his best friend for not having to be here. Because Izuku would literally rather be in hell than in this house at the moment.

"You okay?"

The freckled male gave an indifferent shrug of his shoulders, as he remained straight faced with a purse of his lips. "Define 'okay' to me then I'll answer," Izuku said, trying and failing to contain the laughter that rumbled in his chest.

"Damn," The taller of the two sighed, "That bad, huh? Let me guess, this all has something to do with a certain purple haired insomniac?"

"Yeah- wait did you say insomniac?" Izuku asked, furrowing his eyebrows together in confusion.

"Mhm . . . ever since his-" Right before Todoroki could finish his sentence he was interrupted by high pitched squealing.

Eri came bounding down from the staircase and launching herself into the man's arms, wrapping her tiny legs around his waist and arms around his neck. "Todo! I missed you so, so, so much!" She beamed, squeezing him as tightly as she could.

"Hey kiddo, think you can direct me to where the good food is around here?" Todoroki asked, cocking a white eyebrow.

Nodding her head she slowly jumped down from off of him, clasping her hand into his own. "This way- oh, hi ZuZu!" Eri greeted the other male, giving him a toothy grin.

"'ZuZu?'" Izuku muttered to himself, brushing the entire ordeal off as he continued to check people off. This was beginning to be such a long day.

Aizawa put on his 'businessman' face as he conversed with a few investors that had come to the party, every now and then throwing in a charming smile and a light laugh to draw them in. That's when Izuku knew where Hitoshi gets it from . . . his charming personality that is. The raven haired man was making significant progress with them, he was confident by the end of the night he would have everything in the bag.

But he couldn't shake the feeling that something was still missing.

Todoroki excused himself from a conversation his father had instructed him to strike up, thankful enough to get away from the lady he had been conversing with. She had quite the miasmic breath.

Once he spotted Hitoshi he headed straight for him, not wanting some other guest there to try and pull him aside to talk about himself, or his father.

"Hey dumbass," Todoroki greeted his friend, clapping him on the back.

"I swear you are spending way too much time with that boyfriend of yours." Hitoshi snickers, as the duel haired male takes a seat next to him on the couch. "What's up?"

"Oh, you know the usual- people coming up to me and asking me about my life and my father's. That bastard kept making me start conversation with people, said I have to be 'sociable'." The younger said with a heavy sigh.

Hitoshi nods his head in understanding, taking another sip from his champagne glass. "Shit . . . lucky for me my old man is too busy trying to make a sales pitch to bother me."

"Mhm- hey what's up with you and Midoriya?" Todoroki asked, remembering their conversation from when he first walked in. "He seemed a bit bothered, and I know you have something to do with it."

The purple haired man heaved a sigh, leaning back against the cushions with a huff. "Nothing," He mumbled weakly.

Todoroki pursed his lips, obviously he knows that the little shit was lying- doesn't mean he's going to press the issue. Okay scratch that he was definitely going to press the matter . . . just in his own, guilt trip, beating around the bush, Shoto Todoroki way. Basically get the two to make up or whatever with a small nudge in the right direction.

"You know I'm not sure how he puts up with your ass," Todoroki said nonchalantly, crossing his ankles together.

"The fuck is that supposed to mean?"

The heterochromatic male shot him an incredulous look, cocking an eyebrow. "I mean if weren't for the simple fact that his mother has breast cancer and he needs the money . . . he most likely would have quit the first day."

Hitoshi gaped at him, eyes blown wide with this new information, he hadn't known about Inko- or her condition. Wait-

"Is that what he meant by 'family emergency' a few weeks ago?" He asked, still baffled by his current knowledge on everything.

"If you're referring to the fact that Inko, his mother, was in the E.R a few weeks ago then yeah. Yeah that's what he meant," Todoroki said, again, nonchalantly- patting his friend on the knee before getting up to refill his glass.

(Hitoshi is fucking best boi . . . you'll see why// Also remember that receptionist at the hospital? There's more to her than meets the eye ;) )

Hitoshi laughed and quietly excused himself from on of his father's investors, she was a loud and boisterous lady- yet so petite all the same.  Quickly, Laine maneuvered her way around the crowds of people after her talk with Hitoshi- on a mission in search of Izuku.

That's when she spotted him. He was leaning against the staircase, admiring some photographs that adorned the walls near him- an indifferent expression on his face.

"Excuse me? Izuku Midoriya, correct?" Lanie asked, tucking a lock of curled blonde hair behind her ear. "Hi! You probably don't remember me, I'm-"

"Laine, right?" Izuku intervened, nodding his head with a soft smile. "Yeah how could I forget, you were the receptionist at the hospital . . . my friend practically tried to bite your head off. Hey, what are you doing here?" He asked, confused as to why a receptionist would be at such an A-list celebrity party.

A loud laugh released past her lips, as she fidgeted with her dress- she knew what the younger male was thinking. "I'm not really a receptionist, I was just filling in for my dad's normal receptionist. My father owns the hospital your mother was emitted in,"

"Holy shit . . . your kidding me, right?" Izuku asked, puffing out air in between his teeth.

"Oh, no, no I am very much serious- but I think you and I both know about keeping up facades, huh?" Laine hummed, giving him a playful jab to the ribs.

Furrowing his bros together, Izuku tilts his head to the side. "I beg your pardon?"

"Look, Hitoshi told me all about you- I mean, I cannot believe your are a world renowned photographer!" She beamed, "Now, I all ready know about how you go under an alias name when dealing with clientele so don't worry about me going to the press or anything."

Izuku stared at the blonde woman, completely baffled. It was becoming more and more apparent that Hitoshi had spun some sort of lie to her about who Izuku was . . . but he was still too surprised by everything to correct her at the moment.

"Anywho, he showed me a few pictures you took and I'm interested in buying a few- so let's talk money." Laine said, pulling out her phone and checkbook.

"I- uhm, money?" Izuku stammered, straightening out his posture.

"Yes. Hitoshi told me how . . . picky you can be when dealing with patrons, so I'm willing to pay as much as you want. He showed me a few pictures that I think will be absolutely lovely in my study-" She said, showing him some photos on her phone.

The freckled male gasped quietly when he seen them, they were the same photos Hitoshi had Izuku send to his phone yesterday.

"So? I want to buy all of them, now let's settle on some prices!"

Hello Cricket Cultists!!

Now just in case Y'all are confused let me explain what Hitoshi did.

When Todoroki told Hitoshi about Inko's condition, he basically began to piece things together. Like why Izuku always looked so tired, why he took the job, etc. So he went to Laine, who by the way is one of my Oc's, and told her a lie. He told her that Izuku was some hot shot photographer, but he went under an alias which is why she didn't recognize him . . . and she wanted to buy some of the photo's he showed her.

Hitoshi felt bad for Izuku basically, which is why he did what he did.

And I love him.

Until we meet again!!!
