A few weeks had pasted and we had developed a sort of routine. I could wake up first, make breakfast, Bucky would kiss me on the forehead and then head on to work. I would stay home and do a bit of college work. After I was finished, I would walk the dog and call Tony with updates. Shortly after Bucky would come home from work, kiss me on the cheek and cook dinner. We had gotten really into a TV show so when we finished eating, we would watch it and then go to bed.

It was no surprise to Bucky when he discovered my love for the holiday season and he tried to make it as enjoyable as possible, as we were away from home. I was beginning to put up some decorations when all of a sudden Bucky drags a huge tree into the room.

"So I got a tree"

"I can see that" you laughed as you helped him put it up.

"I'm going down to the butchers to order a turkey for our holiday dinner, I'll be back shortly"

"Ok see you soon"

I strolled down to the butchers, taking in all the holiday decorations around me. The town was well decorated and made me smile. It sucked that that I would miss Christmas at home this year. Tony always had his huge party and Clint would make us this weird holiday cake thing. I was lost in though when I heard my name being called, my fake name obviously.

"Amy, you look great!"

"Rachel, good afternoon." you hugged her, it wasn't pleasant.

"Well I was hoping to run into you. Every year myself and Ross host a Christmas Eve party at our home. I was wondering if you and Derick would attend?"

"Oh yes definitely, no family coming up this year so it would be nice to be around people!"

"Excellent! I'll send you on the details. It's black tie so wear your best!"

She left the store and I got everything sorted. I returned home to order something to wear for the party when Bucky came in with a mug of tea for me.

"Hey, so Rachel invited us to a Christmas Eve party at her home and I thought since we weren't doing anything we could go?"

"Of course doll, I'm going upstairs for a shower and then we can order in and watch a movie"

He kissed my forehead before leaving. I've grown fond of him over the past few weeks. Even when it's safe to hate each other and not get caught, we just don't. I picked out a beautiful red dress for the party. It is cocktail length, strapless and had a sweetheart neck line. The night was simple but still my favourite thing to do with Bucky. All these quiet nights in were like this and I would do them with Bucky whenever we could.

It had been a week since the invite and it was party day, or Christmas Eve I should say. Bucky had gotten a navy blue suit and wore a nice tie. I'd never seen him wear something so formal. I had gotten him a gift for Christmas because I though it was the nice thing to do. I put on my dress and heels and took the little bag out its hiding space in our sea side homes office. I was excited to give it to him for some strange reason. 

"Hey."

I appeared at the top of the staircase to see he fixing his tie. He looked up and me and smiled. 

"You look just..... breath taking"

"You look great too."

"We stepped out of our home and I stopped him in an area where I knew wasn't bugged.

"Look I know we don't get along but I think it's safe to say that we have become a weird maybe sort of friends type thing. Anyway I got you this because I saw you didn't get your present of the team and I wanted to do something."

You handed him the bag and he smiled once more. He pulled out the black box to reveal a watch with a black leather strap. On the back it was engraved and said "Amy and Derick".

" I love it (Y/N)..." 

He searched his pocket for a moment and handed you a square black box. You opened it to see a silver bracelet with two hearts on it.

"Buck, its beautiful"

You hugged him and he was surprised at first but hugged you back. You dropped the boxes back inside and wore your new bracelet to the party. Surprisingly there were a lot of people present, more than you though with it being Christmas Eve and all.

"Ah, you guys made it!" said Rachel, who I think was a bit drunk.

"Of course why would we miss this!"

You get you and Bucky a drink and you can see he's looking around at the big pieces of furniture.

"Do you have-"

"Yes"

He was gonna bug the buggers. It would work out well If we could do this successfully. We would get to go home sooner and see our friends again. We could even be home before New Years if it works.

"Well doll, can I have this dance?"

"Of course!"

A slow song plays and couples get up and began to slow dance. Bucky took my hand into the middle of the floor and wrapped his hand around my waist. He didn't know however that, I never learned to dance.

"You don't know how to do this do you" he laughed.

"No..."

"Look at me darling, I'm going to teach you"

He started to show me the steps and I caught on very quickly as to what I was meant to do. We both giggled and laughed the night away. We moved to the side to plant one last bug when Rachel appeared, this time I knew she was drunk.

"wOw Amy look up!"

I did what she said to see that me and Bucky had walked straight under a branch of mistletoe. What do we do? Blow our cover? I was panicking on the inside when Bucky spoke.

"We wouldn't wanna disobey tradition" 

He put his hands on my face and pulled me in. I sunk into the kiss, wrapping my hands around his neck. His hands moved down my back and around my waste. It was like we stoped time and we were the only people in the room. Eventually we both pulled away and just looked at each other. A few moments later we were walking out the door. What do we do? A month ago we hated each other and now, we're kissing. I must have look worried when Bucky looked down at me.

"(Y/N) are you okay?"

"I'm fine"

"Look at me"

You stop walking and turn back and face him.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"Buck, I'm fine"

I know he didn't buy it. I didn't buy it either. I came home and acted okay. I turned on a film and after I went to bed. He came up with me and fell asleep, like he was okay after tonight. I tried to sleep but fail and then I heard the scream.
