Who is Who

The figure in the corner of my room stood with one foot resting on the inside of his other knee, his dark skin patchy with streaks of white; a crude spear supporting this strange stance.

"Do not fear. I am from the future."

"But you look like the pictures in my history book."

"The future is a glimpse of the past."

"Are you from here?"

"No, you are from there."

"Where is there?"

"Look at the stars and pick one."

"So why do you visit me?"

"I was going to ask you the same thing."

"I am the alien?"

"Yes."
