Over the time we have been doing this, many of you have wondered how exactly to submit you story to the Editing Mechanics. Here are step-by-step instructions to make sure that your book is all ready for editing.

1. Click on your Wattpad Story.

2. Move the a chapter that you want to be edited (these next few steps will also have to be done multiple times depending on how many chapters you have)

3. Go ahead and click "Edit Part" up at the top.

4. From there, you will need to highlight the entire chapter like so:

5. Then with your keyboard click CTRL+C to copy it. If you are on a mobile device, hold down until COPY pops up.

6. Open a Google Docs.

7. Paste the copied text from Wattpad to the Google Docs. It is CTRL +V on computer. To do it on a mobile device, click once and PASTE should pop up.

8. Then rename the document by clicking where it says UNTITLED DOCUMENT and typing [name of book - author username - CLN Editing].

9. Once you have pasted all of the chapters that you want edited, then click the blue button that says share on it.

10. From there, you will get to this page:

11. Now you click CHANGE TO ANYONE WITH THE LINK.

12. From there, use the drop down menu from the right side to select EDITOR. This will let the editor change your document.

13. Then copy the link.

14. Open up your gmail and click COMPOSE (it has the plus sign next to it).

15. From there, type in all of this information:
To: [editor's email]
Subject: [name of book - author's username - CLN Editing]

16. Then in the contents paste (if you forgot how to paste, the directions are in step 7) the link into the content section of the email.

Once your email looks like this (minus the CTRL+V) it is ready to be sent off to the editor!
