~September 20, Friday~

"Donde esta?!" John screamed, rummaging through his closet. He was packing the last of his belongings before heading to New York with Peggy and Lafayette the next day.

A sleepy-looking Lafayette entered the room, rubbing his eyes. He took notice of the panicked John, speaking Spanish.

"Mon ami, what do you mean?" Laf yawned, not understanding the language.

"I can't find one of my turtle plushies!" John pouted.

"You have hundreds, John. Of course you could find them!"

"Yeah, but I stashed them away so Peggy couldn't find it..." John said. "Unless..."

John got up and sprinted out the door, presumably going to Peggy and Theo's dorm.

Lafayette chuckled. "Peggy's gonna get some revenge soon."

"I'm so excited!" Alex squealed, for the umpteenth time that day. His friends chuckled.

"Chill. I'm basically French." Thomas chuckled, flipping his hair, but failing because it's floof.

"You're Virginian, Thomas." Maria deadpanned.

"I still have the accent and stuff. I was basically raised there." He shrugged.

"I'm so excited!" Alex screamed, now jumping on the couch beside Eliza.

"Sit down, Alex. You might break your bones." Eliza said.

"Geez, I've never seen Alex look so excited at meeting people. He's     anti-social!" Hercules laughed.

"I'm excited meeting Laf." Alex said. "He's fucking French!"

"He's fucking Herc." Angelica snorted, making Herc blush.

"Not Peggles?" Maria pouted, Angelica chuckling after.

"Sure, I guess..." Alex mumbled, finally sitting down and hugging a pillow.

"I heard Theodosia is coming. And James. And John-" Herc said but was quickly interrupted by a certain   sleep-deprived person.

"John Laurens?"

"PEGGY! WHERE ARE MY TURTLES?" John yelled as he stomped inside his room. James, who was hiding from his dorm mate John Jay, fell off the couch from John's sudden outburst - or rather inburst.

*plays drums and cymbals thingy*

No?

"Ow."

"Poor Jemmy." Theo chuckled, helping Jemmy up as she came from her room.

"I don't know what you're talking about John." Peggy said innocently, as she munched through popcorn.

"Peggy, I'll kill you!" John narrowed his eyes, chasing Peggy throughout the dorm.

"Guys." James squeaked.

"Hello?" Theo asked.

"JOHN, THEY'RE IN THE KITCHEN!" Theo screamed, desperately trying to attempt to break the chaos.

Which worked.

"Thanks, Theo." John triumphantly smiled, as Peggy groaned, while he went to get his most-prized possesions.

Lafayette, who decided to watch all the drama quietly by the door, asked.
"Y'all ready for ze trip tomorrow?"

"What trip?" Theo asked.

"The trip to New York!" Peggy squealed. "I get to see Mars!"

"But Mars is about... 148.59 million kilometers from the sun." James mumbled.

"Stop being nerdy." Laf chuckled, receiving an eye roll from James.

"Oh! Right. Yes, we are." Theo smiled, who was actually mentally scolding her forgetful brain.

(That's such a mood.)

"We're leaving at 5 A.M. to try to avoid the traffic." Laf said.

"But that's so early!" Peggy whined, sitting down beside James.

"It's not!" Laf protested.

"For you." John muttered.

"I'm so excited! We get to see New York!"

"I'm excited to see Herc. And finally meet his dorm mate, since he speaks French." Laf grinned.

"Hey!" Peggy pouted. "I thought we were great friends."

"We are, Peggles." Lafayette laughed. "I just want to speak French with someone else who does."

"You speak French to yourself." John pointed out.

"True dat!" Theo shrieked.

Lafayette rolled his eyes. "Anyways, then we can meet his friends. Maria, Peggy's girlfriend-"

"YEEEEE!" Peggy squealed. "I FINALLY GET TO SEE HER AGAIN."

"How long was that?" James asked.

"Mm.." Peggy paused. "Around 2 years."

"WHAT?"

"Yeah."

"ANYWAYS," Lafayette said, emphazing the word. "Then there's Jefferson, who looks like a twin brother of me but my hair down-"

"That sounds fucking creepy..." Theo muttered.

"Yeah, yeah. Then Herc, but you met him at Skype-"

"He looks like me!" James said.

"Yeah." John hummed. "To be honest, a lot of people look the same. Like Peggy and Maria. And then we look like those dudes in Miranda." He cringed.

"They're all creepy." They said in unison, except Laf.

"AnYwAyS," Laf said, clearly annoyed at the interruptions. "We'll meet Maria, Jefferson, Herc, Eliza, Angie-"

"MAH SISTERS!" Peggy smiled, wiping fake tears away. "I miss them so-"

(Poor Laf.)

"aNyWayS," Laf sighed. "There's Angelica, Eliza, Thomas Jefferson, Maria and Herc's roomate, Alexander-"

"Alexander Hamilton?" John asked, bewildered.

"How did you-" Laf asked, as bewildered as John, but interrupted himself. Everyone else was confused.

"I-"

~next day~

"JOOOOHHNNN~" Laf slammed open the door, making said boy shoot up from his sleep.

"I'm up!" John panted. "Is still dark outside..." He said groggily, lying down after.

"We have to leave! I already woke them up!" Laf grinned. "I'm so excited!"

"You literally just saw him 3 weeks ago..." John mumbled. "And I didn't hear the door close."

"I didn't go outside to wake them up. I just called them."

"Ouch." John grimaced.

"I was too lazy to go upstairs." He shrugged. "Get ready!"

And with that the door closed, leaving John sitting down at his bed, processing what just happened. Except he's John Laurens, and he can't process anything when it's 4:00 A.M.

No one can.
No one.

Except Alexander Hamilton and certain people, who can stay up all night long.

John finally got out of bed and took a cold shower, even if it's getting colder, to wake him up. He changed into a green sweater with, guess what, a turtle printed on it, and black jeans.

He got out of the room seeing Laf preparing coffee and toast.

"Ah. There you are." Laf smiled, handing his friend coffee. "The others are almost ready."

"How do you know?" John asked, sipping the coffee, which he immediately spit at the sink.

"Ew." Laf cringed. 

"Why black? It's so...bitter." John said, but then looked at the readers. "No offense."

"It's early and we need to stay awake." Lafayette reasoned. "And I asked countless time if they were ready until they finally said 'almost'."

"Geez."

John and Lafayette quietly sipped on their coffee, even if John didn't want to, and munched on their toasts, until a series of rapid knocking interrupted the peace.

"OPEN UP!" Peggy shrieked outside.

"Can you please quiet down? It's too early..." Their annoying neighbor, Lee, shouted from the other side of the wall.

"I hate to admit, but I have to agree with Lee here." John grumbled, opening up the door. He let them in and proceeded to getting his bags. He left Lafayette with the dishes, which he did not like at all, and came back with his bags.

"Our bags are already downstairs at my car." Peggy chirped. "Hurry up, guys!"

"Well, John didn't want to wake up." Laf said, getting his bags. "Let's go."

~mini time skip~

Lafayette opened his GPS and started driving. 

"Laf, you know this is my car, right?" Peggy pouted, who was sitting between James and Theo at the back.

"Yes, I know, but I know the route best." Laf hummed, tapping his fingers at the wheel.

"How long will it take?" John asked, sitting shotgun. 

"Mm.." Laf thought, looking at his phone.

"About an hour or so."

"Eh. Not that long." James shrugged.

"Can we stop by McDonald's?" Peggy asked, pointing as a McDonald's sign came to view.

"no."

"Please? We're hungry." John pouted.

"no."

"John, use your puppy-dog eyes!" Theo smirked.

"nO-"

John's eyes widened and he smirked. "No one can resist my puppy-eyes."

"nO!"

"pweaseeee?" John asked, showing his best puppy-eyes to Laf.

"I-"

"PLeASe-"

"Okay okay!"

"THEY'RE HERE!" Herc shrieked, literally throwing his phone at the air.

"PEGGLES!" Maria smiled, pushing everyone, or dragging, out the door and to the elevator. Once they reached the lobby, Maria ran into:

"Burr?" Alexander asked, poking his head out of the crowd.

"Sorry." Burr apologized, helping Maria up. "What are you guys up to? Hopefully not trouble." He chuckled.

"No, we're meeting Herc's boyfriend's friends." Eliza smiled.

"AND MAH GIRLFRIEND!" Maria added. 

"Want to join us?" Thomas offered.

"I mean, I have nothing to do, so I guess..." Aaron nodded, but regretted it as he got pulled towards the parking lot. The group of friends ran until they finally saw Peggy's car...
