So I have mentioned this MANY times... get new KBoos just keep popping up everywhere.

My friend at my lunch table now screams random ass stuff in Korean and even answers the phone in Korean.

TO HER FILIPINO PARENTS

So we all know your average romanized Korean:

I walked across the neommo long walkway to get inside the school. My soft brown hair was in a messy bun, with my school uniform that I added a kyeopta Koya pin to it!

Then, I saw the school bully. His red hair, short yet muscular stature caught my eye.

"JIMIN OPPA SARANGHAE," screamed many girls, trying to get his attention.

Well you get the idea fam

Here are some exceptions due to inability to translate:

1. Oppa
2. Unnie
3. Hyung
4. Noona

And like that's it because sis everything else can be translated

ALSO!!!! If you want to write in Korean, like why not learn the alphabet? It's SUPER simple, my exchange friends going to South Korea learned it in a week.

It's hella cringe if you randomly say a Korean word in average conversation, especially if the conversation is in English.

Like I remember I was sitting at lunch. My Chinese (T) friend next to me was casually watching Running Man because she genuinely likes the show, but on her phone with headphones.

My Filipino (B) friend was watching BTS stuff on the school laptop, full screen with sound on nearly full.

So T gives B the notes for their AP European history class, reminding her the test was the next day. To which B replies with:

"AISH JINJJA-YA!!!"

I choked on my chicken. T jumps in shock. Other girls at my table look up in confusion. Other Kpop fan at my table looks both surprised and confused.

Please don't do this fam. Speak Korean to other people who speak it. Speak Korean in a setting where English isn't being used.

Thanks for coming to my TEDTalk
