Ch. 31 - Every kiss begins with...
AN: That commercial is so cringe worthy I cry.
Cabin my frick fracking ass.
This was a wooden mansion Harry and I were standing in front of out in the pouring rain, one that looked modern yet homie with large glass windows, and three stories.
There was even a jacuzzi on one of the balconies.
It would've looked quite inviting besides the fact that their were a few cars and vans parked in front of the cabin that didn't belong to Harry or his father and that the inside of the building was completely pitch black.
"The cars probably belong to some of the employees. My dad hires a few maids to clean and maintain the cabin every month, you're being paranoid." Harry informed, looking impatient as we held his jacket over our heads to shield us from the pouring rain while I continued to stare at the wooden house.
"That's what they all say, it's probably just the wind, it's probably just my imagination and then boom, psycho killer comes out and stabs them. Why the hell is it so dark inside, do they clean in the dark?" I rambled on, furrowing my brows as I glared at the cabin making Harry roll his eyes at me in annoyance.
"Wait, if your dad has people cleaning up his place here every month why did he ask you to get the rings?" I questioned, turning to give Harry a look as he sent me a bored expression.
"Because I'm the only one besides him and my mum who know the password to the safe he keeps the rings in. Now are you done playing twenty questions in the rain because I'm freezing my fucking ass off here." Harry snapped as I gulped and continued to fist the fabric of my tank top.
"You really do have a fear of these kind of things..." Harry said after a while, his intense green eyes flickering up and down my rigid body as I nodded.
"Look at it this way," He sighed, his voice gentle and soft as I felt his warm breath fan over the skin of my ear.
"The virgins are always the ones who die or get sacraficed for their blood in the end of scary movies so if anything I'm the one who's doomed here." Harry explained, nudging me with a small playful smile on his face as I blinked at him in surprise.
"Woah true..." I mumbled, laughing at his attempt to make me feel better before I grabbed his free hand with mine and looked back at the cabin with determination.
"Alright, let's do this homeboy."
We went inside, Harry opening the large door with a key from his pocket before we shuffled into the cabin, taking the jacket off our heads and discarding it to the floor before Harry closed the door behind us.
I looked around in awe, taking in the large glass chandelier hanging from the high vaulted cielings to the two elegant looking staircases in front of us.
"Hm, looks like the lights aren't working." I heard Harry comment, making me turn around to find him playing with a light switch on the wall, flicking it up and down to no avail.
"Fuck this shit I'm out." I sang and hurried to the door before Harry grabbed the back of the hem of my tank top, yanking me back before I could reach the exit until I stumbled back into his broad chest as he wrapped an arm around me.
"I'm here, you're safe and I'll protect you if anything happens." Harry told me, his voice sincere as our eyes met, his warmth radiating off his body to mine making my heart race for a whole different reason.
A few moments of silence pass by with us just staring at eachother intently until we both burst out laughing together, shaking our heads as he let go of me while I playfully punched his arm.
"I'd straight up ditch your ass." We both told eachother in unison, still laughing as Harry dropped the duffel bag to the floor.
"What's in the bag?" I asked, kicking it lightly as Harry shook his darkened wet hair, tossling it with one of his hands before he looked at me.
"Tools I can use when I murder you." Harry responded in a serious tone, my whole face paling at his words before a dimpled smirk made its way to his face and he gave me a wink before walking passed me, heading upstairs leaving the bag on the floor.
"Ha, funny." I said out loud, watching his every movement as he went up the steps.
"Just know that no one can hear your screams here baby." Harry teased, his voice deep and mocking before he disappeared upstairs as I forced out a dry humorless laugh.
"That sounded very suggestive..." I said under my breath, my voice unsteady and high pitched before I scrambled to the floor, going on my knees and unzipping the duffel bag.
I let out a sigh of relief when I saw that it was just a large expensive looking plush folded dark brown rug, soft to the touch as I ran my fingers through the smooth, fluffy, warm carpet, the texture felt like a mixture between cotton candy and silk before I stood to my feet.
Those cheetos in the trunk sure weren't enough because I was still damn hungry.
I walked through the dark corridors of the cabin, looking for the kitchen as I entered the main living room, not fully looking around when my eyes widened at the sight of wood burning in the fireplace.
Someone was here before.
I stepped in front of the fireplace, looking down at the fire before spotting a small silk jewelry box on the mantle, taking it in my hand and observing it with furrowed brows.
"I got you." An unfamiliar masculine voice says from behind, a pair of large hands grabbing the sides of my arms from behind causing my whole body to tense.
"Not today bitch!" I screamed before elbowing the creeper in the face causing the shadowed man to stumble back a few steps in pain as I whirled around, raising my leg and kicking him in the stomach making him fall back onto the coffee table behind him.
The wood of the furniture broke underneath his weight, causing a loud smash to echoe throughout the house before I yanked the stranger by the collar and brought my knee up to his groin making him let out a grunt of pain.
"Nat are you okay?" I heard Harry's voice call from upstairs, his hurried footsteps going down the steps before I heard his body fumble and fall the rest of the way down making me and the stranger freeze at the sound.
"I'm okay!" Harry said after a few moments before I saw him limp his way into the living room.
Out of no where a smaller body attacks me from behind, jumping on my back making me let go of the man as he fell to his knees, still clutching to his bruised package before I flipped the smaller person over me.
Harry joins the fight without hesitation as I grabbed the two flailing bodies in a headlock with both of my arms, slamming them to the floor and holding them in place as Harry crawled on top of the couch, standing above their bodies before he sent me a look and patted his elbow.
"Do it man!" I urged and with that Harry jumped off the couch, elbow first down onto the two screaming people.
"Cut! Cut!" Another voice echoed from across the living room as light poured into the whole vicinity causing Harry and I to squint our eyes in surprise at the large bright lights and camera crew in the back of the room.
"Jesus what the fuck is wrong with you two, you guys on drugs!? Steroids!? Who the hell even let them in here? I leave for one second to get donuts and this is what I come back to!" A stubby man with a mega phone snaps, waddling towards us in anger as Harry and I quickly scrambled off the two people groaning in pain on the floor.
"My actors! My beautiful, beautiful actors!" The director sobbed, looking down at the man and woman bruised on the floor that Harry and I had beat up in the dark moments ago.
"You two!" The short man growled, bringing his eyes up to look between Harry and I as he pointed an accusing finger at us.
"Out of my set! Security!"
"Woah woah, your set? This is private property, my private property." Harry said in a deep stern voice that just held authority, making me blink at him in surprise at his dominant demeanor when he stepped forward to stand in front of me when the security guards started to near us.
I looked down to check Harry's ass since he was in front of me after all.
Nice, nice.
"Hold on a sec, ay- you're Styles' son aren't yah. Harry Styles right?" The man said, stepping over the groaning actors on the floor, disregarding them as he smiled at Harry and outstretched his sweaty hand.
"Right. What are you doing here." Harry demanded, not reaching his hand out to shake making the man immediatly drop his as he let out a nervous laugh.
"Ah yeah, sorry about that. I'm Daniel Dennings, the director of-"
"I didn't ask who you are I asked you what the hell are you doing here." Harry interrupted, lowering his voice into a deep menacing tone making me furrow my brows at him from behind.
I totally forgot how cold and stern he acted towards everyone ever since we became close friends, just like the way he treated me when we first met.
I got upgraded though.
"No right! Of course, uh, your father gave me permission to shoot one of my commercials here in your cabin for a few hours." Daniel informed, obviously intimidated by Harry as he awkwardly scratched at his sweaty thinning head.
"Commercial?" Harry and I asked at the same time.
"Yes. For a Kay jewelers commercial." The male actor on the floor wheezed out as a few workers crowded around to help the two up from the ground.
"Nuh-uh you straight up grabbed me from behind and said 'I got you.'" I reminded him with raised brows as Harry snapped his head to the actor.
"Grabbing from behind- you did what now to her?" Harry interjected in an angered tone, taking a threatening step towards the poor actor as Harry began to roll his sleeves up before I stopped him.
"Arms, grabbed my arms not ass." I reassured Harry, clearing my throat awkwardly as I patted his tense shoulder.
"He did that because he thought you were me." The female actress speaks up, looking just as badly bruised as her co-worker as we all cringed when we looked at the two.
"In the commercial the girl's supposed to go to the fireplace and pick up the jewelry box. I was in the bathroom and he must've thought you were me in the dark and he just tried hugging you and saying his line for the advertisement." She informed, rubbing her sore shoulders.
"Why did you jump on my back then?" I questioned as Daniel and Harry looked between me and the actors.
"You were beating up my on screen boyfriend." She scoffed and I mouthed a silent ohhh before nodding in acknowledgement.
"Oh and you'll hear from our lawyers, all of you." The "on screen" boyfriend said in a matter-of-fact tone as they both raised their chins high in the air in sync and limped away.
"What! No you can't just leave we still gotta shoot the commercial! Come back here!" Daniel demanded, obviously panicking as he called after the two.
"We quit! Getting attacked was not part of the job description and the stupid good for nothing low payed camera crew did nothing to help us!" The male actor shot back as the camera crew in the back of the room started to snicker.
"Yo, I'm sorry, I thought you guys were zombie creepers..." I admitted, sending them an apologetic smile to which they just rolled their eyes and walked out of the room.
"No! My actors! Now I'll never get this commercial finished." Daniel breathed, an urgent and frantic look on his face as he wiped a bead of sweat off his forehead.
"Yeah way to go Nat." Harry scoffed at my side, nudging me with his arm making me look to see a playful teasing smirk on his face.
"Boy don't even start, did you not see yourself stand on that couch and fall down on them like some prime time champion wrestler-"
"Harry! You're good looking, you'd be perfect for the commercial!" Daniel suddenly says, a bright smile on his face as he stared at Harry with excitement and hope.
"No." Harry retorted, his smile immediatly disappearing as he sent the director a blank expression.
"Oh please, please, please. I am begging here okay- I haven't directed in years and now I finally get this stupid commercial break so please." Daniel begged, clasping his hands together as he looked up at Harry in a pleading manner.
"No get out."
"Oh please! Please! Please! Please!" Daniel falls to his knees, clutching onto Harry's ankles as we both gawk down at him in shock.
"Jesus christ- alright fine! Fine! Just get off me!" Harry growled, running a hand through his hair in frustration as Daniel stood back on his feet with a grin just like that.
"Alright people we're back on track!" Daniel announced, clapping his hands together as he turned towards the crew of workers in the back of the room.
"Tami, get Harry some fresh new clothes and uh, hm, cheeto girl, yeah you the one with cheese powder all over your tank top." Daniel said, pointing at me as I gave him a nod.
"What up."
"You'll have to do, someone give her a bath or something and new clothes, you're going to be in the commercial as well. Has Kay jewelers ever done interracial couples? We can do this right?" Daniel announced, looking back at his crew members as he pointed at me for their opinions.
"Hey!" Harry snapped, grabbing Daniel roughly by the collar making him let out a strangled choke as I eyed an employee who walked by with a donut in their hand.
Where'd she get that donut though.
"You don't fucking talk to her that way. You don't disrespect her understood. She has a name and her name is Nat you little asshole so I suggest you-"
"Hey sorry to interrupt." I said, tapping Daniel on the shoulder who was still practically being lifted off the ground by Harry by his collar as I looked around.
"Y-yes Nat." Daniel gulped, his wide fearful eyes darting between Harry and I as a bead of sweat trickled down his forehead.
"I saw someone with a donut, where can I get some of that?"
Harry looked up and sent me a blank look as Daniel gulped.
"There's a whole buffet table of food in the kitchen. I-it's for the staff." Daniel informed, his lip quivering as he brought a shaky hand up to point towards the direction of the kitchen.
"Sweet, I'll be in your commercial." I smiled before walking to the food as Harry let out a groan of irritation from behind, muttering an "of course" before he dropped Daniel and followed after me.
++
Thunder struck the darkened sky from outside making me let out a squeak of surprise as I turned around, only to crash against Harry's broad chest as he chuckled and looked down at me.
"Don't be scared, I've got you." He said, lifting my chin up so we could make eye contact before he brought a small jewelry box out in front of me.
A small gasp escaped my lips when he opened it, revealing a stunning diamond necklace that shimmered under the lights.
"Someone is definitely getting pussy tuh-night!" I hollered out before Harry and I burst out laughing, breaking our act and bending over and cackling as we held our stomachs.
"Cut! Cut! For the one hundredth time cut!" Daniel practically cried out in frustration from the back of the room, rubbing his face before snapping his eyes towards the two of us as the camera crew exhanged looks.
"That is not part of the script! For the last fucking time, you get scared of the thunder, crash into his arms, he gives you the stupid jewelry and you swoon and say how beautiful it is! Follow the fucking script!" Daniel cursed, looking about ready to snap as I give him a thumbs up with a smile.
"Alright," Daniel sighed from his director's chair as he held the megaphone back to his mouth while Harry and I took our positions in front of the fireplace again.
"Action!"
"Don't be scared, I've got you." Harry said once again with the same look and tone of endearment before repeating his actions and taking out the small jewelry box.
"It's beautiful." I gasped in a girly manner as I took ahold of the box in my hand.
"I know right, it's almost as big as my dick." Harry commented as we both stared at it before we burst out laughing all over again, leaning against eachother for support as Daniel threw his megaphone to the floor in anger.
"That's it! I've had it! I'm done, we can shoot this commercial another time with real proffessional actors! Everyone pack your stuff!" Daniel declared, his voice loud and unstable as his eye twitched before he grabbed his foldable chair and waddled out.
"Aw come on, this was getting fun, every kiss begins with k-"
"Chlamydia." Harry interrupted my sentence, making the both of us snicker as we gave patronizing waves towards the camera crew who were packing up, all of the employees sending us dirty glares before walking out.
"Yo they didn't even take back the necklace." I said after a few moments, taking the accessory out of the silk box before handing it to Harry as he observed it in his large hands.
"Do I look pretty?" Harry smiled, knudging my leg with his knee as he let the necklace hover over his neck while he batted his lashes at me making me let out a snort.
"Beautiful." I said with a smile and I wasn't lying.
"I like your laugh, it always sounds like a mixture between an asthmatic seal and a dying witch." He suddenly said and before I could respond he started to twirl around, prancing in circles around me only making me laugh a little more while dangling the necklace in front of me.
"You're a dork." I commented, shaking my head with a smile as he chuckled before he tripped over the rug on the floor, dropping the necklace into the fireplace.
"Oh shit!" We both cursed, fumbling to the fire as the gold slowly began to melt against the wood.
"Grab it dude grab it!" I said, hitting Harry's arm as he cursed under his breath, repeatedly chanting "Right! Right!" as he reached out to the fire.
"Grab it with the fucking metal tongs! Not your hands the tongs you dumbass!"
"Right! Right!" Harry squeaked out, quickly retracting his hands back before he grabbed the metal tool at the side and prodded for the burning jewelry in the fire.
He finally retrieved the necklace from the flames, letting it drop on the marble of the fireplace with the gold still glowing with heat.
"Shit, shit, shit." I mumbled, kneeling down and lowering my head as I blew on the burning jewelry.
"And you call me a dumbass, like that's gonna cool it down." Harry scoffed from above before we heard someone enter the living room.
"Sorry, we forgot the jewelry we left you two, it's three thousand seven hundred bucks so..." One of the members from the camera crew informed making both Harry and my jaw drop at her words.
Harry immediatly fell to his knees, joining me on the floor as we both frantically blew on the necklace.
We continue to blow for-
Ha that's what she said.
Okay we continued to blow on the accessory for about five minutes until we both collapsed to the floor in front of the fireplace with the jewelry in between us, panting trying to catch our breaths as the worker looked down at her phone.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I was just informed it was a fake and not a real product of Kay's jewelers." She claimed with a small smile making Harry and I raise our heads up from the floor to give her a look.
"Are you fucking kidding me." Harry panted out, his voice almost coming out as a wheeze while I let out a groan.
"I'll leave you two to your blowing then." She commented with a nod before walking out of the room, the sound of the front door opening and closing with a slam.
Harry and I stayed on the ground, the both of us blinking up at the ceiling, enjoying the comfortable silence and the light crackle of the fire behind us before I heard Harry let out a small breath.
"I know why you and Zayn got married."
