POV: Sunshine

I flinched. Midnight had already put the chain back on my mouth, making me unable to speak once again. 'And sing.' I thought somberly.

The realization creeping up my scales like finding a RainWing after days of search. Singing was my passion, It calmed me down if I was upset and gave me power. The only way I could communicate without my voice was with my scales, but with so many sad RainWings in here, they probably couldn't tell how our scales tell how we feel.

Blue and orange swirled around my scales and vanished. Midnight had worry in her eyes as she looked at me as if to say "sorry I had no choice" I looked away and stared out the stained glass windows.

'That's it!' I sprung to my feet as Midnight jumped back in surprise. I had to escape. Pink and yellow spring my scales back to life as I thought of leaving this wretched place. My eyes lit up. The NightWing still had a concerned look on her face. I wish I could tell her my idea! I switched my scales to anger and frustration. My scales! My scales can change color to show how I feel, but I can also decided what color I want them to be!

I started changing my scales to a red maroon color, and started sketching out Midnight on my scales. Her eyes widened. I wasn't the best drawer (at least I didn't think so, but banana and apple always told me that my art was amazing), but it was clear Midnight got the message. Then I made the picture vanish. I started to sketch out a picture of me in the cell, adding details on me and the other dragons scales and eyes.

Finally I was done. I started making a story. I made the pictures move and turn and started showing her a way we could escape.

I started showing how she could distract the guards and while they look away I could make myself invisible. I would lay down so they would think my chains were clattered on the ground. They would go and try finding me while she would come back and unhook my chains by taking one of the spears the guards use. Finally, I would make myself invisible and follow her back to the rainforest, whatever direction it is. It must be close by since I feel it would take ages if it were across the continent. Midnight nodded.

We had a plan.
