POV: Blackbear

I paced around the cave me and my sibs lived in. "IM SO BOOORREED." I groaned. "We know." Lizardtail said, her light golden tail slashing back and forth. "But when is Earthmover coming back? She should be here by now!" I complained.

"Guys shut up, I need sleep." Sinkhole said lazily. "BUT STILL!" I yelled. Both Sinkhole and Lizardtail put their claws over their ears. I pouted, walking over to a corner of the cave.

I sat down, starring at my claws. I counted each scale, trying to distract myself from boredom. I heard a slight growl and jumped up. I saw Earthmover coming into the cave... with a Sandwing?

The Sandwing was a bright orangey-Gold in some parts while others were, well, sand colored. She had a grey brown frill, while her eyes were a deep chocolate brown.

"Hey guys." Earthmover said, a little irritated. "Who's that?" Lizardtail asked, pointing her wingtip at the Sandwing. "I'm Cactus." Cactus said, a worried smile on her face. "I saved her from a Skywing, apparently she's got no where to live so we're taking her in. But if you deserve it, we will kick you out." Earthmover said, whispering the last part to Cactus. Cactus gulped.

"Who are you guys?" Cactus asked, fear showing in her voice. I didn't blame her. Earthmover could be scary. "I'm Blackbear," I said, holding a claw to my chest. "That's Lizardtail," I said, pointing a wingtip at my sister. "And that's Sinkhole." I said, pointing at my sleeping brother.

"Nice names." Cactus said nervously, shuffling. "Do whatever you want here, we don't really care." Lizardtail said. "Well, don't hurt us." Earthmover hissed. Cactus shivered. "A-alright." She stuttered.

Cactus stood there for a moment then walked over to me. She sat next to me. "Hello." She said worriedly. "Hi!" I replied back, trying to cheer up her mood. Cactus looked at the floor.

"Are you okay?" I asked. Cactus sighed. "No. No I'm not." Cactus whispered. "What happened?" I asked politely. "Skywings just broke in. I'm still kinda shaking." Cactus said, but now I could tell the smile was forced. Her wings were in fact shaking, and she had many scratches on her.

"Is that... glass?" I asked, looking at her. She pulled her claws up and winced. "Yeah. I had to jump through a window." Cactus explained. "Here let me..." I pulled out a piece of glass stuck in her wing. "Ow." She murmured.

"I'm gonna pull out the rest of these, is that alright with you?" I asked. Cactus slowly nodded.

I sighed, getting to work.
