The First Chronicle of Maxine B Marshall || Teen Fic
Title: The First Chronicle of Maxine B Marshall
Genre: Teen Fic

Cover/Title & Summary:
Your title is unusual for the teen fic genre, but I like it when writers think out of the box, and this is definitely out of the box :) Your description is short, sweet, and intriguing which is perfect to awake the curiosity of your readers. Your cover was the only thing that not at the same level as everything else, the writing is barely visile which takes the impact of the title away. I would reconsider having a look at different options that would make justice to your work. After all, people do judge the book cover, and it's a shame if you lose readers over a cover that doesn't stand out as much as your words.
First Impressions:
Your writing style is beautiful, and I loved how you were able to portrait every little detail with such complexity yet without compromising on the emotion of every single word. You portrait Max in such an elegant way, it's incredibly easy to relate with her. The story seemed to be paced in a way that allows your readers to be introduced to every character while still be able to get to know Max in a more deeply way.
Character Development:
You were able to give the same time and attention to every character. Sometimes writers tend to give all their attention to the main character and all the rem, a character kind of stay in the dark, which is a shame because characters are so important to develop a story and to make things more interesting and less dull, and I truly felt that you make justice to every character. You develop your characters beautifully, Max is so relatable and thrives with a kind heart, Maya is the perfect best friend, I loved her funny personality and every girl should have a Maya in their life. I loved how you portrayed John's emotional side, in so many teen fic books, the guys are portrait as the bad guy or the playboy, so having a sensitive guy that is so invested in one girl and its not afraid to show his feelings is refreshing and heart-melting.
Plot:
I'm not entirely sure what the rest of the story holds for Max, but one thing that I'm entirely sure is that whatever you come up with, its very promising. I know this because you are pacing your plot in such a natural way and you are not rushing. You are building a great foundation that is strong enough to make this book an exceptional one.
Final Thoughts:
I have to admit that the cover and description are not making justice to your book. I think you should consider raising the bar when it comes to your cover because I truly think that this book will be a great addition to the teen fic genre. You stayed away from cliches, you made sure that every character had a voice, and more importantly, you place it all together beautifully. I wish you all the best!
