Yang crossed her arms as Ruby approached her, "So sis how's your first day going?"

"Surprisingly not so bad at all, I first got into an argument with this person called Weiss because I accidentally tripped over her luggage and almost exploded, but we made up in the end."

"You almost exploded? Really? How did you make up with this Weiss person then? I doubt you left on good terms."

"W-Well I was trying to apologize to her, but then I met this guy called Kiyotaka and he sort of helped me out with Weiss when we were arguing. He managed to convince her it was an accident so then she apologized and walked off."

"Ooh well...this Kiyotaka person seems like a nice guy then"

"Yeah, he also helped Jaune and I find the auditorium since we didn't know were to go and was lost."

Yang raised an eyebrow, "Jaune? Who's that?"

Ruby nervously laughs, "I-It may have been the guy who accidentally puked on your shoe."

Yangs eyes went wide, "Really! That Guy!"

"Come on Yang, Jaune's not that bad once you get to know him."

Yang stares at Ruby for a few seconds before smirking at her"Alright sis whatever you say, still I'm surprised you managed to make some friends already, and who knows you might hook up with this Kiyotaka person in the future, guess you're taking my advice already"

"What do you mea-" Ruby had a confused look before finally blushing when she realized what Yang meant "Yang It's not Like that!"

Yang Laughs, "Chill out sis I was just joking, o-oh hey there's professor Ozpin."

Getting on the stage, Professor Ozpin stepped up to the mircophone, with a stoic expression on his face."I'll keep this brief, you have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and new skills and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your lives to the protection of the people. But I look among you and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge will carry you so far, It is up to you to take the first step." Once he was finished he walked off.

Professor Glynda who was next to Ozpin stepped up to the microphone"You all will gather in the ballroom tonight, tomorrow begins your initiation, Be ready." She then walked off.

Both Yang and Ruby frowned, "He seemed... kind of off" Yang said.

"Yeah Its like he wasn't even there." Ruby Replied.

Ayanokouji POV

Jaune and I finally managed to get a spot in the back where it wasn't that crowded, and It looks like we were right on time when the headmaster of the school Professor Ozpin came into the room.

When Professor Ozpin was on the stage he had this air of authority surrounding him, the calm atmosphere took a huge turn, the tension was so thick like a hot knife cutting through butter, no one had dared say a word as he was giving us his speech. I guess that was simply the headmasters power. His presence dominated everyone in the auditorium.

He didn't pause once during his speech, when he was finished he walked out of the auditorium. Then Professor Goodwitch was on the stage and said for the night we sleep in the ballroom and our initiation begins tomorrow, then she also left, after that the tension became normal begin.

I got lost in thought for a second thinking about what Professor Ozpin was saying in his speech when Jaune called out to me.

"Uh hey?... Kiyotaka you there?"

"Oh, sorry Jaune I got lost in thought for a second did you want something?" I asked.

"No not really, but It's getting late we should head to the ballroom and get ready for tomorrow." He said.

"Yeah you're right lets go then." I said

As time went by everybody was setting up their stuff in the ballroom getting ready for tomorrow; The hall was nearly packed with sleeping bags and other stuff people took out of their luggage.

Meanwhile I went into the boys locker room and started to take off my combat gear and just wore my plain white t-shirt I wore underneath my combat jacket with my black jeans underneath.

I sighed as I didn't have any other clothes with me other than my combat gear and would have to wait until after Initiation is over to buy some more. I looked over to Jaune and noticed him pull out a blue bunny onesie for him to sleep in.

He really wasn't going to wear that around people was he?

"Hey Jaune your putting that on to sleep with?" I asked wanting to be sure.

"Uh yeah is something wrong with it?" he said confused.

"No I just thought that since it's not that cold in the ballroom that you would wear something more comfortable." I told him.

"Hmm? but it is comfortable that's what a onesie is for right?"

"Its fine I was just curious I guess." I said.

"Oh I see, do you want one as well? I think I have another one in here." He offered.

"......No Thanks" I said

"Oh...ok" He said confused.

I then got up and was prepared to turn in for the day so I can ready for initiation in the morning. "I guess I'll see you tomorrow Jaune good night." I said.

"See ya." He said while starting to put on the onesie.

I was now in the ballroom and not surprised that all the spots were nearly taken up by a majority of students in here. I looked around trying to find a spot that wasn't at least too cramped, and there was a spot in a far corner not to far from the entrance, blessing my luck I started to walk over but noticed that blacked-haired girl who walked away earlier was also sitting there.

She pulled out a book and started reading, I wanted to go over there and ask her if any of those spots were taken, but she gives off a vibe that says Please don't bother me so I was reluctant to ask, but then I took a glance over on the other side of the room and noticed most of the males flexing their muscles trying to impress most of the girls in here so I decided that this is the better option for me.

"Excuse me...are any of these spots taken?" I asked her

She looked up at me with a surprised look for a second before quickly looking at me with a bored look. "No not really, why do you ask?" She told me.

"It's pretty packed in here and I was wondering if I could sit here because I noticed no one else here." I said.

She skeptically looked at me for a couple of seconds before turning to read her book again. "Fine, Just don't make too much noise."

"Don't worry I won't, by the way my names Ayanokouji Kiyotaka nice to meet you" I said as I stuck out my hand.

She stares at my hand for a few seconds before reluctantly shaking it "You Too." She said before returning to her book again.

Even though she didn't give me her name I sat down next to her feeling grateful that I had a spot where I can at least get some peace and quiet for the night. I was about to go to sleep but when I got a good look at the book she was reading it was called the man with two souls written by Ursula Berpidoloo. I used to read books like that all the time when I was a kid.

"Hey Isn't that the man with two souls your reading?" I asked her.

She looked at me with a slightly surprised look "You know what book this is?"

I nodded, "Yeah the main theme is that It's something you didn't know that you had inside of you right?"

"That's right, I like reading books like this to pass the time. Have you finished it already?" She said with a smile on her face.

"Yeah I did and I have to say it was interesting, You'll probably be mad if I tell you the ending so I won't spoil the book for you." I said

She nodded, "Thank you for that, the book would be less interesting if I knew how it ended."

I shrugged, "It's no problem."

We both were in silence once again, but it didn't feel as awkward now when I had first arrived, but something didn't look right when I was talking with her. I noticed the bow at the top of her head had twitched a little when I surprised her a little, It's something most people wouldn't notice if you didn't pay any attention to it.

She must be a faunus trying to hide her animal traits so people wouldn't find out, which I can understand as most faunus are treatly badly in this age, she didn't want anyone to find out and would probably tell anyone she's close too eventually. Her secret is safe with me as I didn't have any reason to tell anybody, Her secret is hers to tell. As I got lost in my thoughts more she called out to me.

"Blake"

"What?" I said

"My names Blake Belladonna nice to meet you Kiyotaka." She said with a smile before returning to her book again.

So that's her name, well at least she finally told me that I decided to finally get some sleep so I can be ready for tomorrow, but I got interrupted again by a "Hellooooo!"

Blake and I looked up and I noticed that It was Yang and Ruby who came over to us.

"So You must be Kiyotaka right? I have to say I didn't know you were such a looker and look at that bod of yours you work out alot?" She asked while smirking.

"Yang Please don't embarrass the first friend I made!" Ruby said with a frown while secretly blushing with Blake also secretly hiding a Blush.

If I were a normal teenage boy my heart would go Doki Doki and confess to her right there, but I wasn't.

"Um yeah I'm Kiyotaka Ayanokouji It's nice to meet you, and no I don't work out at all I'm not proud of it, but I was part of the go home club growing up." I said.

"Really?... doesn't look like it to me." she said with a raised brow.

"Maybe good genes?" I said

Yang stared at me with a skeptical look for a couple of seconds before eventually smiling, "Well if you deny it that much I guess I'll believe you then."

"Anyway I just wanted to thank you for helping my sister out, You really saved her you know?" She said with a smirk.

"Yang please stop embarrassing me!" Ruby said with a frown.

"It's fine but I really didn't do anything." I said with a shrug.

"Haha no need to be humble, but regardless thank you anyway." She said with a wink.

This girl is too cute

"Hey" Blake called out to me.

"What is it?" I said

"Could you get them to leave? I'm trying to enjoy my book." She said with a pleading look.

"You could at least give them a chance right? I met Ruby... and Yang doesn't seem bad right? This could be your chance to try and make some friends." I explained to her.

Blake stared at me for a couple of seconds before sighing,"Fine Then."

Ruby Blake and Yang were having a conversation about books, and Ruby talked about how she wanted to be the hero one day like in the books. I admit that almost everyone wanted to be a hero if they wanted to become a huntsmen or huntress but most of the time the hero doesn't always get a happy ending.

As I was lost in thought, I looked over again and I saw Weiss arguing with Yang and Ruby telling them to keep the noise down, but then it wasn't as bright where I was sitting when I noticed Blake turned off her lamp and said Goodnight to me with a smile on her face.

I too eventually followed her lead and prepared to sleep ignoring the noise the three girls were making as I got ready for tomorrow.
