As a senior, we get to play a game called assassins. We can use sock bombs and spoons to kill our targets. We cannot use magic, and the Dreamers were not allowed to use their powers for various reasons. My target was Nina.

"You know, she's going to be hard to catch. Do you know her guardian is Nya? She's a tough cookie" Ronin said as he looked at my target.

"Do you have an idea?" I asked him with interest in my voice and a hint of worry.

"What classmates are in your grade in her free period?" he asked with an idea forming in his head.

I am a bit concerned about this but also very excited about this. I meet with Mackenzie, Whitney, Gray, and Stovien one day with Ronin.

"Ok, my target is Nina" I told them.

"So?" Gray asked unamused.

"You all have this period free, and we all know how loud and annoying Nina can be" I began as everyone listened closely to my idea, "So, why don't we all get back at her?"

"What do we do?" Gray asked first and oddly quick.

I think they might have a personally issue with Nina. Well, I can use that to my advantage.

"I know where she is going to be this period. Everyone else has to be away from the room until I defeat her" I said confidently.

"That includes your guardians. Your Fish friend really wasn't clear on the rules about the guardians, so we are going to assume if one of your guardians does see her, she cannot die" Ronin said seriously.

Everyone nodded. Yeah, I was going to win this round. I saw Nina walking to her class with her guardian, Nya. I wonder why she has her here?

"Nya is one of her strongest guardians. I knew she would choose her out of all them. Actually, Robin would've also been a good choice. I wonder why she didn't pick him of all people?" Ronin commented on the side.

"Maybe Nya is one of the strongest?" I suggested as we quietly followed her.

Ronin pondered, "Hm. I suppose so. I actually think that Wasp girl us much better than her at times, but whatever"

I guess he has a point. I really don't know everything about the Dreamers honestly. They were gone for an entire year saving other worlds from the darkness. I guess that's a good excuse. Hopefully, this will be a year where they are able to have some kind of peace. I actually doubt it considering their track record.

"I wouldn't be surprised really. Destiny might not be through with them just yet. I used to never believe in that nonsense until two of the Dreamers proved me wrong. Life sure is strange at times" he reasoned, "Is she in the room?"

I forgot to keep an eye out for her. I walked to the room, but there was no one here... Something's not right... Nina follows the rules to an extent. She wouldn't use her powers, would she?

"Wait a minute kid. Something's not right about this room" Ronin said as he opened one of his pouches.

He took out some sand and threw it into the room. I watched in disbelief as the sand revealed Nina and her guardian! Nina let out a scream as she saw us and her trick fading away right before her eyes.

"I thought you followed the rules?!" I asked her annoyed.

"Not when people have other guardians who can easily catch me!" Nina screamed out as she unlocked the window in Mrs. Crupi and jumped out!

What just happened?

"Did you teach her that?" Ronin asked slightly impressed and annoyed at her guardian.

"Eh. I learned from the best" she said as she walked to the window and fell out.

What?!

"Thus, the hunt begins" Ronin said as he took out a grapple hook and chased after them by jumping out the window.

You know, what? Yolo. I jumped after them. I landed on the ground and looked around to see something very surprising. It looks the people I talked to were helping by getting her guardian away from Nina.

"See kid! Our plan is working!" Ronin cheered in delight as he saw Omega try to grab Nya.

I didn't actually think everyone would take part in this. Nya rolled away from the robot and tried to run after Nina. Rhyme stepped in front of Nya with a determined expression on her face with her fists up.

"I don't want to hurt you" Nya said seriously.

"Don't worry! Neither do I!" she reassured Nya as she snapped her finger to create lighting spheres and threw it at Nya.

Nya quickly ran the other way to avoid the lighting spheres. Omega towered over Nya with a stun blaster.

"Sorry Omega. I promise I'll fix you up after this" Nya said as she created a water sphere in her hands.

Except the sphere burst in her hands! She looked around and saw Echo grinning.

"No hard feelings. This is just business" she smiled at Nya.

Nya sighed as she realized Nina was probably going to lose this game.

"Alright. I yield. She might summon another guardian, so I suggest you better hurry up" Nya said as she sat down as the other guardians sat next to her.

I was very surprised by this as Ronin patted my shoulder.

"Checkmate. Now, go and claim your prize" he said confidently as he aimed his grapple hook at Nya and shot it.

The grapple hook tied her up!

"Hey! Why did you do that?!" Nya exclaimed annoyed, "I already sat this out!"

"A little payback for what you did to me on our last encounters" Ronin said as he clicked his tongue.

"I should be doing that to you!" Nya retorted annoyed.

I wasn't sure what was going on, so I ran back into the school and went to find Nina. I ran into Mackenzie, Whitney, Gray, and Stovien.

"Scratch is keeping an eye on Nina for ya!" Whitney reassured me.

"Just go and get her" Mackenzie said.

"Thanks!" I said as I ran up the stairs.

I don't think Nina would be back at Mrs. Crupi's room. Well, I was wrong. I don't know why she would do that. She was just sitting at a desk and listening to music on her computer as she was working on something. Well, it is her funeral.

As I approached her, she looked up and shouted in disbelief "What?! How?!"

"I had a little help" I admitted as I held my wand out.

Nina sighed as she summoned hers. She prepared for a duel, I guess. Oh, boy. Well, here we go. I cast a fire spell, so she easily countered my spell by casting a water spell. That was my bad. I shouldn't have cast a fire spell. I ducked under a table as she waved her wand in a circle to create a lighting spell. Lighting rained down in the classroom. It was a good thing I took cover under the table. I swiftly pointed my wand at her to cast a wind spell at her. She was standing in front of the window as the spell pushed her towards it!

"Gravity!" I quickly shouted as I waved my wand towards her.

A small orb appeared in front of me as it pulled Nina towards me! She let out a scream as she thought of something. She untied her jacket hanging from her waist and let it fall on me. I quickly pulled the jacket as Nina aimed her wand at the ground and cast a powerful light spell which shattered the orb. I took a step back from her as she landed on the ground.

"When did you learn that?" I asked her surprised.

"I have a good teacher who happens to be a great tactician" she said as she took a bow.

I have to applaud to that. That is definitely creative. Well, I now know how to defeat her. I quickly cast a lock spell on the door and chased her with the spoon in my other hand. Nina yelled out a bunch of nonsense as she ran away from me in the classroom. You know, for a person who leaves the school and goes on adventures to save the world, you would think the person would be faster, but she's not that fast.

"I have little stamina!" she shouted as she continued to run.

Why would that make me stop chasing her when I am this close to beating her? I was getting very tired of chasing her around the classroom, so I waved my wand upward to create an earth wall! Nina hit the wall hard and fell on the ground with a dizzy expression on her face. She wailed a bit as I tapped her with the spoon.

"I win" I simply said with a smile.

She groaned as her right hand rubbed her head. Is she really going to hold a grudge over this? Then she burst out laughing in delight. She's very weird.

"That was pretty fun! Ok, ok, you win!" she said as she handed me a piece of paper with her target's name on it.

She had Brynn. She's going to be easy to defeat. Nina picked herself up and decided to find Nya. I decided to leave out the part in my plan where I got help from other students in our grade to trap her.

"Hey! Kid! Didja win?!" Ronin asked as he passed Nina in the hallway.

"Yeah! Now, here's our next target" I said as I showed him the paper.

"How did she not defeat her?! She's an easy target!" Ronin stated annoyed.

I just smiled at him. You know, this was a very fun game, even though we had to chase her down and separate her from her guardian. However, this was fun. All the fun we had for this last game together as a grade will be something to remember. I can't wait to win this game though! I hope everyone's ready for me to defeat them!
