I am going to build a go kart for Lob Star and Nathan. I am not quite sure when this stupid bet started, but I was definitely going to get involved in this. Right now, I was betting my guardian was going to beat Nathan in this race. Unless Nathan's guardian can help him. I kind of doubt it though. He's not too bright.

"Are you sure you know what you're doing? I can get Roller Brawler here" Lob Star offered.

"Of course, I can handle this! I know what to do" I told him as I fixed up some gears on the cart.

I question why he does have need of a cart. He's an odd creature with the ability to create water throwing stars. I know they fight a God of Chaos, but I still think this is somewhat ridiculous. Then again, if we can beat Nathan, then I am fine with this!

"Uh, do we have boosters?" he asked me.

I'm sorry, what? I looked up at him concerned. I don't think we should add magic into this race. That could cause much more damage than we need to deal with.

"You want to add magic into this race?" I asked him curiously.

"Is that not what you do here?" he asked me.

Well, I guess a little magic wouldn't hurt. I know how to add some magic into the vehicle. Again, a little shouldn't hurt. If you add too much, then something will go wrong. I held my wand and cast a bit of magic around the engine.

"Ok, you have a few magic boosters in your engine. Just don't use it all at once" I advised him.

"Of course, I know that! Anyone who doesn't know that is a fool" Lob Star stated annoyed.

"I have to say that. Its' protocol" I explained to him as I rubbed my forehead.

Lob Star started the engine. It gave a loud roar. I patted the hood of the cart in excitement. Eat your heart out Nathan! I am total going to beat you! We made our way to the school's parking lot and saw most of my classmates who cared about this bet here. Actually, Noel was ready to record this event while Joey and Lily were sitting on sun bathing chairs and eating popcorn. Yeah, this was an event everyone either wanted or didn't wanted.

"Alright! Everyone settle down!" Jimmy shouted through a Mega Phone.

Who gave him a Mega Phone? Besides Nina, Jimmy is the last person who should have one. He stood in the street as everyone cheered. He stood next to me as he searched for Nathan.

"He's not here" I whispered to him.

"He'll show. Nathan wouldn't miss something like this" he reassured me with a smile.

Ok, I might be relatively new here, but Jimmy sounding confident Nathan would show up here does not sound good to me. Just then, we heard loud punk music and engine noise coming towards us. Jimmy and I turned around to see Nathan and his guardian, Beat, riding a monster truck with after burners?! Why is this allowed? This shouldn't be allowed. Wait a minute, how on earth did he have access to that?!

Jimmy picked up his Mega Phone as he shouted "Alright! Racers! Get ready!"

He's going to allow this?! Nathan and Beat drove the truck to the starting line. Well, if they are going to allow this then I am going to take part in this race as well! Lob Star drove his cart to the starting line. This cart was only made for one, but I did put a hand bar on the end of the cart. I jumped on the cart and held onto the hand rail.

"Are you sure you want to do this Benny?" Lob Star asked surprised.

"Yeah! We are not going to lose to Nathan!" I stated determinedly.

"Alright! Then let's do this!" he shouted encouragingly.

Nicole walked to the street with a checker flag in her hands with Jimmy behind her.

"Now! You all have to complete one lap! Whoever gets here first, is the winner!" Jimmy shouted over our engines instead of using the Mega Phone, "Do you understand?"

"YES!" Nathan and I shouted.

Jimmy looked offended as he walked back to the side lines. Nicole raised the checker flag as we started the engines. She waved in down, and we were off! We easily took the lead, because we had a much smaller car.

"Hit the after burner!" Nathan shouted urgently as he stepped on the gas pedal.

"Got it!" Beat shouted as he pushed the red button.

The ground began to shake as their monster truck shot forward! Lob Star and I were nearly knocked out of the track!

"Why on earth do they have that?!" Lob Star asked bewildered.

"That's Nathan for you. He is over the top in everything he does" I answered as we began to catch up to them.

"Do you have a plan?" Lob Star asked curiously.

"We can use magic, right?" I asked as I gripped my wand.

"Yeah! Unleash on them!" Lob Star shouted as he stepped on the peddle.

We were gaining sped as I aimed my wand on the track underneath Nathan's truck.

"Blizzara!" I shouted with a smirk as I froze the track.

The monster truck began to slide around and nearly crash into the trees! Beat had to take over the wheel and drive. Meanwhile, Nathan stuck his head out of the window with his wand in his hand.

"I think you made him mad" Lob Star said as he glanced at the mirrors.

"That was the point" I said with a smirk.

Nathan stood on the top of the truck and prepared to chant a spell.

"If we die in this race, I am going to get you!" Lob Star shouted.

I got another idea. Guardians would protect the students they care about. Well, then we are just going to do that!

"Lob Star switch places with me!" I ordered.

We quickly switched places as I stepped on the gas peddle.

"Ok, and now what?" Lob Star asked as he faced the monster truck.

"Throw your water throwing stars at Nathan! But miss on purpose!" I shouted as I prepared to turn a corner.

"Got it!" Lob Star shouted he threw three stars at the monster truck.

Nathan nearly fell off the truck but Beat rushed out of the truck and grab Nathan. He regained his balance as he stood back on the top of the monster truck. I laughed in delight as Nathan screamed in annoyance.

"That was a dirty trick, Benny!" Nathan shouted as he helped Beat back into the truck.

"It worked!" I claimed as I took the lead and took a sharp, easy turn.

David was using his phone's camera and spell to see where we were at in the race.

"Axel is in the lead and way in front of Nathan. Who was actually surprised by this?" David asked in a matter of fact tone.

A lot of people cheered as we were coming in. I soon got another idea to slow Nathan down.

"Switch!" I shouted excitedly.

We quickly swap places, and I faced Nathan.

"Ok, what's the plan this time?" Lob Star asked as he continued to drive forward.

"Create another one of your stars and hand it to me please" I said as I held my wand.

Lob Star raised his right hand and created a throwing water star. He handed it over to me. I waited for the right moment for the monster truck come towards us. Once it was, I waved my wand over the water star and turned it into ice.

"Hey, Nathan?!" I shouted in delight.

"What?" he asked as he came closer to us.

"Catch!" I shouted as I threw it at him.

He screamed as he ducked from the frozen throwing star. The star crashed to the ground and froze it. The ice then froze the wheels of the truck in place! Nathan was shocked while I simply smiled at him.

"Happy trails, Nathan!" I shouted as I took a bow.

"BENNY!" he shouted annoyed.

Lob Star high fived me as we made our way to the finish line. Everyonecheered as we crossed the line. Lob Star put me on his shoulder and roared intriumphant. Nathan and Beat abandoned the monster truck and ended up walkingback to the school. They were annoyed, but they were able to calm down. Eitherway, I felt pretty good about myself. I, a new student who has very littlepractice in magic, was able to win this wild race. Not bad for the new student. Not bad.
