As I continued onto High School, I still practiced singing. I was still thinking about how far I could go with my voice. Maybe I should rethink this. I don't know if I should make a career out of this. Nina and the rest of the Dreamers have their work cut out for them. I imagine protecting the worlds would make anyone rich.

"Vector! Are you ready?" I shouted as I entered his Detective House.

He was sitting at his desk looking over some papers. He looked pretty busy.

"Are you busy?" I asked him as I placed my bag on the couch.

"Just a little bit. What can I help do to help you?" he asked as he placed a stack of paper on his desk.

"I was just going to practice my singing. Your world is much quieter than mine" I answered as I approached him.

"Ah, then go ahead. I'm just finishing up my reports. The rest of the Chaotix won't be back for a bit" Vector said in a reassured tone.

I nodded my head and went upstairs. He set up this room for me when he became my guardian. He said if my world was not safe for some reason, I could come here until the danger was over. If that is the case, then I should be here every day. The Dreamers are not helping anyone at this point. I guess he also gave me this place, because he wanted me to feel safe to practice my powers here. Yeah, I'm the Descendant of Fall.

"Hey, I'm going out. Do you want anything to eat?" Vector asked as he walked to the door.

"No. I'm good" I answered as I began to practice my singing.

It took me a few minutes, but I was able to practice for a few minutes. I didn't think Vector would take so much time to get back. I heard the door open and loud voices shouting over each other. I quickly went down the stairs and saw the Chaotix and a girl with short blonde hair surrounding the couch.

"What happened?" I asked as I approached them.

I saw a boy with blonde hair lying on the couch. He was bloodied a bit. What happened?!

"Len and Rin were running away after they finished their concert. However, someone attacked them" Ray exclaimed with a worry.

"We didn't even see who attacked us! We just ran!" Rin said as she cried.

I felt sad for her. This shouldn't have happened to her.

"He'll be fine, Rin! I've already called Cream! She's coming to deliver the medicine for us!" Charmy reassured her.

She nodded her head as she tried to stop crying.

"How can someone hate music? Music is supposed to be fun!" Mighty said annoyed.

Well, it is possible. Not everyone can like the same things.

"Chaotix!" Vector shouted as he stood in front of his desk.

We looked at him surprised.

"We have a case to solve!" he shouted proudly.

"Oh, boy. Here we go again" Espio said sadly.

"Let's get to work! Everyone, but Might and the twins stay here!" Vector shouted.

"Wait, why am I coming?" I asked surprised.

"It might be good to have a Descendant with us!" Vector smiled as he walked out of the room.

I suppose so. I would think having a Descendant might make things worse. We walked to the stage in Central City. Miku, Kaito, Luka, and Meiko were examining the damaged stage.

"None of you are hurt, right?" Vector asked politely.

"No, we're fine" Luka reassured.

Kaito closed his cell phone and faced his friends, "Well, Neru, Teto, and Haku are fine. They are going to get some money from the banks"

"Seriously! We worked hard on this! How did this happen?" Meiko asked annoyed about this.

"But we haven't even found Rin and Len yet! I hope they're ok" Miku sulked as she saw their ruined stage.

"Rin and Len are fine. They are resting at our place" Ray informed.

"Did something happen to them?" Kaito asked worriedly.

"They were attacked. Len protected Rin from someone. We are on the case, so you don't have to worry about it!" Charmy exclaimed.

"Is it ok if we head to your house? We have to make sure they are ok!" Miku demanded seriously.

"Sure. Just knock on the door, and Mighty will answer to you" Vector reassured.

Luka, Meiko, and Miku ran back to the house while Kaito stayed for a moment.

"You'll catch the person who did this to us, right?" he asked seriously.

"It's our job, Kaito. We are the Chaotix!" Vector stated as he pointed to himself.

Kaito smiled at him and departed for their house.

"So, let's go and explore the stage" Vector ordered as he marched onto the stage.

Ray flew above the stage while Espio explored the backstage. I stood at the center of the stage and imaged singing to my classmates.

"Hehe, are you ready?" Vector asked with a chuckle.

"A bit. Though we should solve the case first. Sorry about that" I said as I scratched the back of my head nervously.

"It's fine! It's a good thing you like this! It shows how passionate you are!" Vector stated with a hearty laugh as he slammed his hand on my back.

He stopped laughing when an idea formed up in his head. He cupped his hands around his large mouth and called for the rest of the Chaotix to come to him.

"Well, I have an idea on how to drag out the attacker!" he said proudly.

"And what would that be?" Espio asked as he rolled his eyes.

"Now before I explain the plan, Liam, you don't have to agree with it if you don't feel safe about it. I was thinking you could perform on stage and use your Fall powers during the performance. This could drag out the attacker, and the Chaotix could ambush them!" Vector stated proudly.

I thought about this. This concert would indeed help them catch this person and help me practice on stage for my performance in two days.

"Yeah. I'm ok with this" I said calmly.

The Chaotix cheered and prepared for the performance. I wore a tuxedo and looked over the music sheet I was supposed to be singing.

"Are you ready for this? Wow! You look like a gentleman!" Vector complimented when he approached me.

"Thank you. I'll be ok" I reassured him.

"I can your nervousness. Don't worry. You'll do fine!" Vector said with a smile as Espio and Charmy left the cherry trees on the stage.

I just nodded as I handed him the music sheet. I walked on stage as Ray shined a spotlight over me. I cleared my throat and sang a peaceful song. Everyone in the crowd was in awe at my singing voice. I snapped my fingers and made the two cherry trees behind me slowly lose their petals. The petals moved around me slowly as I walked around the stage. The crowd seemed to love this. I made sure the petals could protect me from any incoming attack in case the Chaotix couldn't get to me in time. I stopped when I felt the ground. It was becoming warmer! I quickly ran towards backstage and ducked. The stage exploded! Espio and Vector helped the people evacuate from the stage while Charmy flew towards the attacker. Ray flew to me.

"Are you ok?" he asked worriedly.

"I'm good, but what was that?" I asked as I turned towards the stage.

I saw a blue robot floating above the stage. Actually, he looked very similar to Sonic. Is that Metal? I looked the trees behind Metal. I didn't want him to hurt the people, so I snapped my fingers. The trees fell down and hit Metal!

"Nice!" Charmy shouted as he flew towards Metal.

Ray stood behind me as we slowly walked towards Metal. He seemed unconscious, but I wasn't entirely sure. The robot broke through the trees and floated in air! Ok, he wasn't done!

"Chaotix! Musical Madness!" Vector shouted loudly as he and Espio ran towards Metal.

Vector placed his headphones on my head and covered my ears. He just smiled as he took a mic. He began to scream some lyrics into the mic while Charmy banged on the drums! Epsio was trying to play the guitar while Ray was playing his tambourine quietly. They don't know how to properly play these instruments. Once they finally stopped, Metal was breaking apart! Vector approached Metal and ripped his head off his body! Holy crap! That was something.

"Alright! Case close!" Vector said with a warm smile as he took the destroyed Metal to the scrapyard.

The Chaotix took me back to the house. We told Miku and her friends that everything was fine now. Vector returned to the house with a big smile on his face. I was surprised to see Vector and the rest of the Chaotix not accept the money for their work. Once Miku and her friends left, Vector was ready to take me back to my world. Once we arrived at my room, Vector was ready to leave.

"Hey, why did you not take the money?" I asked him before he left.

He stopped and answered, "You don't simply accept the money just because of the job. It's our job to help others. That is a lesson many of us should learn"

He smiled at me brightly, gave me a thumbs up, and said "Don't forget it"

He closed the door and returned to his world. I was surprised. Vector was able to communicate his feelings to others easily. It was similar to my singing. I was able to sing to others about my feelings and what the song's message was. I quietly sang a song to myself about today before I drifted off to sleep.
