CLASSICAL MUSLIMAH: 21

Hurghada International Airport, Hurghada, Egypt.
Monday, 22nd April, 2018.

"I still can't believe he went ahead to do all that because he wants us to go on a honeymoon." Eesh huffed while Abulkhair pushed the trolley with one hand, his other hand guiding her from behind, without her knowledge.

"Did you see the message I forwarded to you? It was from him." Eesh scoffed. He needed to understand that there was absolutely nothing that could make the marriage work if she didn't want it to.

"So he's actually expecting us to have worked things out within six weeks? Just wow." Eesh clapped, bumping into an extremely fair woman with pink veil rolled around her head Egyptian style.

"Afwan ya ukhti." Eesh apologized with a smile making Abulkhair smile too.

"Who knew you could speak Arabic?" Eesh narrowed her eyes at him and started walking faster.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Abulkhair walked faster to catch up with her.

When they went out, there were numerous drivers holding placards with different names on them. One with Umar Jalingo caught their eyes and they entered the car and zoomed off after exchanging pleasantries.

"Hurghada is Egypt's oldest and most famous resort. It is a prime winter escape, especially for northern Europeans, with sandy beaches and blue skies all through out the year. We have different tourist attractions down here at Hurghada..." The tour guide Alhaji Muhammad hired together with the driver just for them continued as they passed different places.

"This is your stop, Jungle Aqua Park Hotel. Here is my contact, once you're ready to explore, let me know." The tour guide said once he had helped them get checked in.

A bellhop took their luggage to their room and Abulkhair tipped him.

After they had both taken their baths, Abulkhair called Eesh's attention.

"We haven't done anything about the message Abba sent. He needs us to start getting along and miraculously, fall in love before we go back to Nigeria." Eesh rolled her eyes.

"Can we not talk about this here?" Abulkhair furrowed his brows.

"Why shouldn't we talk about this here? Where else do we talk about it? You should know that he planned this trip specifically for this purpose, even without him saying it." Eesh sighed.

"Look, I want us to work this out. If not for anyone's sake, for our sakes. I don't plan on giving anyone a divorce. And I'm pretty sure you're not ready to become a divorcee." Eesh sighed again.

"Okay, let's at least enjoy this. I promise we'd talk about this if we get back home." Eesh said and Abulkhair nodded.

"Now we need to rest and then in the evening, we can go around the park." They ordered for food and rested.

"Yes, I just checked into the room directly opposite theirs." The older man smiled.

"Very good. Someone will deliver a package to you in a matter of minutes." As though it was planned, a knock resounded on his door.

"Go get it." The younger man said and the man stood up and opened the door.

"You ordered something? Someone brought it to the entrance and we don't allow delivery people in here." He nodded at the bellhop and thanked him then closed the door.

"Open the package." He did as ordered and halfway through the opening, he heard a slurping sound.

"Kai! Will you stop that?!" The younger man dropped the juice box he was sipping from and faced the laptop.

"There's a tiny chip camera and a tracker." The man said, realization dawning on him.

"Good, I think you know what to do." The older man exited the call leaving just the younger man and the spy.

In the evening after praying Asr, Abulkhair ringed their tour guide and within a matter of minutes, he was there.

Eesh was dressed in a pink, orange, purple and green floral printed maxi skirt with an orange body hug. On a normal day, she would've worn a cap but when she remembered she was married, she took a green cotton veil and covered her hair and chest area with it. A small camera hung from her neck while her phone made her skirt heavy from the sides.

Abulkhair on the other hand was wearing a floral khaki trouser and a white button up shirt which he left unbuttoned showing off his pearl white singlet.

"Dan Allah button up." Abulkhair frowned. He noticed what she saw before he adjusted the singlet, now revealing his cleanly shaven chest.

"Let's start here now shall we?" Abulkhair nodded and held unto Eesh's hands as he remembered Alhaji Muhammad's warning.

Eesh looked down at their entwined hands and tried to discreetly pull her hand out but Abulkhair's grip was tight. She realized she could actually make good of it so she took the camera and took a picture of their entwined hands.

The media would need something to feed on. It was almost a month and she hadn't posted anything, just throwback pictures.

"The jungle aqua park is actually a resort..." Eesh tuned out the voice of the tour guide and took pictures of different things that looked picture worthy. At the end of the mini tour, she had more than fifty pictures, a wet skirt, a broken phone screen and a wide smile. Despite all the downs, she actually had alot of fun.

"We'll meet tomorrow and I'll take you to the mini Egypt." The tour guide said his goodbye and left.

"Boy, that was fun!" Eesh said as they waited for the elevator.

"I know right?" Abulkhair grinned.

They went back to their room and bathed, prayed then had something to eat before retiring for the night.

Hurghada Grand Aquarium, Hurghada, Egypt.
Monday 6th May, 2018.

"The Hurghada aquarium was opened in January 2015. It contains nearly one million gallons, in tank space. It is home to over 1200 individual animals and 100 species. It is easily one of the largest aquariums in Africa, Egypt's largest and also nearly the largest in the Arab world." The tour guide continued to go on and on about the Hurghada Aquarium while Eesh digested everything with an open mouth as she took pictures.

"Oh my God! Is that an eagle ray?!" Eesh whisper yelled.

"Yes. The eagle rays are one of the aquariums most notable species. There are also stingrays, nurse sharks, shovel noses among others." Eesh squealed.

"I need to have a picture with them." Eesh stood in front of the transparent glass tank and posed, Abulkhair snapped her until she managed to drag him into the picture. The tour guide took pictures of them with different creatures and Eesh couldn't be happier.

They got into the taxi and the tour guide continued.

"Now for our last stop which is the farthest, Sandcity Hurghada." They continued the journey.

When they arrived, it was just three hours away from the closing time and Eesh wouldn't stop kvetching about how small the time was.

"The sand city is the one and only open air and sand sculptures museum in the whole of Africa. It is made up of 42 sculptures and 17 reliefs by different artists from different parts of the world." They went around and Eesh took pictures of all the sculptures. There was one that fascinated her though. It was of a head that reminded her of Fir'aun's. She didn't know why but she felt eerie.

Within two hours they were done so they decided to stop by a nearby restaurant and eat.

"I know, I know, let's go to Cardoba, I heard it's very pretty." They agreed and within minutes, they were at said Cardoba.

The place was dark and surprisingly quiet with hushed whispers and clatters of cutleries against each other. It gave out a serene vibe which reminded Abulkhair of how he felt around Nana Asma'u, he spurned the thought immediately just like he did to others relating to her.

They placed their orders and as Eesh ate, she used her phone.

"So we've visited everywhere on my list except Shadwan Island. We've gone to Hurghada Grand Aquarium, Jungle Aqua Park, Sand City, mini Egypt, Hurghada museum, mons porphyrites and marine biology museum. Oh yes, we need to go shopping at Senzo mall how could I forget?" Eesh took a sip of her water.

"Our flight is tomorrow night Aisha, aren't we supposed to be resting?" Abulkhair asked quietly.

"Shadwan has a lighthouse, and we can go fishing." Abulkhair sighed.

"Aisha, that doesn't answer my question." Eesh rolled her eyes.

"Resting means leisure right? And fishing is a leisure activity." Abulkhair realized she had made up her mind and nothing could change it.

"The Senzo mall is closer to here. You can start from there and then go to Shadwan since it's far." The tour guide chipped in.

"No, we'll shop then go to the hotel and rest. Tomorrow we check out and spend the rest of the day at Shadwan." They continued eating in silence and when they were done, Abulkhair paid for the meal and they walked out after Eesh had discreetly taken pictures of the place.

"The Senzo mall isn't far, let's walk. We've been in the car for so long." Abulkhair sighed and together with Eesh, hand-in-hand, they walked to the said mall.

After one hour of shopping, Eesh decided she was done so Abulkhair wheeled the cart to the pay point while Eesh waited. As she went through the pictures with a grin on her face, a random man bumped into her, causing her phone to fall again and the contents of her handbag to spill.

"Hal anta miskin?!" Eesh barked angrily as she picked her belongings from the floor.

"Afwan ya ukhti, ana asif." The man said apologetically. He picked her bag and gave it to her after he had slipped something into it and attached a certain something to her hand.

"Ouch." Eesh said rubbing the place where the man and attached the device, unknown to her, the device had crawled under her skin, literally.

The man walked away at the same time Abulkhair came with the paper bags.

"Who was that?"

"Some random man." Eesh waved the topic off.

"Happy?" Eesh nodded then frowned before shaking her head.

"What's the problem now?" Abulkhair asked. He was tired of Eesh's nagging.

"My phone screen broke." Abulkhair sighed.

"We'll order a new one when we get back. For now I'll give you my Samsung." Eesh nodded and they started walking back to the cab.

It was dark and occasionally, Eesh would turn around with furrowed brows, as though she was expecting to see something or rather, someone there. Abulkhair felt her uneasiness so he pulled her closer to him. Eesh didn't mind, she felt very unsafe.

She turn again and a short yelp jumped out of her throat.

"Why did you shout?"

"Wallahi someone is following us." Abulkhair sighed.

"Let me call the tour guide so they can come here with the cab." Eesh nodded, her eyes never leaving the darkness behind them. Within minutes, they were in the car.

Jungle Aqua Park, Hurghada, Egypt.

"I've done as said. What's the next step?" The spy said to the two men as they Skyped.

"We'll wait for the right time." The older man smirked.

"Don't you think Eesh isn't the right person?" The younger man said.

"What do you think? She is important to both our targets so who else?"

"We're still going for the plan A right?" the spy asked to be sure of what he was doing.

"Yes. It's easier but might not work so once anything goes wrong, you don't have to ask me, switch to plan B." He nodded and they ended the video call.

°°°

Abulkhair got off his bed to go check on Eesh. He took a promise to take care of her and he would follow up the promise. When he saw that she was fast asleep, he adjusted the temperature of the air conditioning to a warmer one and left.

He couldn't seem to sleep at all. He knew the problem but the problem had no solution. He couldn't reach out to her, he couldn't talk to her or do anything because that'd be breaking his promise.

If he dared reach out to her, he knew the little strand of hope he was holding unto that they still had a chance, that AsmaKhair could be revived, would be cut brutally. She must've seen their wedding events, every single thing.

Who knew how she felt? That tugged at his heart strings.

"Ya Allah, guide me." He said then drank water before trying to sleep and this time, he actually got to fall asleep.
