41. "You're just not the same anymore.."

" now you take this home and fill this out and have your husband sign the bottom" your lawyer instructed.
You nodded quickly and grabbed your daughters hand, carrying your son. You left and buckled everyone up driving back home.
Upon arriving, you could tell Ronnie was there with another women. Probably more then one.
You sighed and stopped the car, parked and got the kids out.
Once inside your house you could hear your husband having an affair and it
made your blood boil, not because he was cheating but because of the kids.
You didn't want them to be dragged into the whole mess!
" hey. Why don't you go to your room and play wth your dolls huh?" You said to your daughter and she nodded. You carried your son to his room and put him in bed.
Walking back down you fine Ronnie and some girl swapping spit in the kitchen.
You cleared your throat and they turned towards you.
Walking past them you grab the ingredients for dinner and washed them off.
" who is she?" The women asked.
" his wife " You answered.
She sighed and Ronnie took her somewhere else.
Once she was gone he came back and stood there.
" what's wrong" he asks and looked at you.
You turned towards him and he could see the steam coming out of your ears.
" Ronnie do you remember what this means??" You asked and held up your left hand and pointed to your ring.
" of course! That was the day I gave up my freedom!" He laughed and you stood there.
" I didn't ask you to marry me!" You stated.
" You didn't deny it when I asked" he fired back.
You sighed and went back to washing your food.
Flashback to '75
" hey, y/n?"
You heard that from behind you, right after there was a knock.
" come in!" You hollered and there was Ronnie.
" hey, I thought you were practicing?" You smiled that your boyfriend was there.
" I was but I just have a question that's killing me" he said and sat beside you on the bed.
" oh okay babe, shoot" you smiled and so did he, but you could tell he was nervous.
" well you know I love you so much. So, so, so much" he states and you giggled and nodded.
He scratched the back of his head and got on one knee.
Pulling out a little box, he spoke.
" y/n.... you wanna make a man happy and get married?" He asked and you smiled, nodding. You couldn't speak! You were so happy! Ronnie hugged you and you hugged back, hanging on tightly.
Up to date.
You stood there crying. He changed so much.
You went ahead and rubbed shampoo in your hair then went under the water to wash it away.
All the sudden you felt two arms wrap around you.
Turning you see Ronnie.
" what are you doing?"
" why are you crying?"
" answer mine first" you insisted and he sighed.
" I'm taking a shower, I thought I didn't need an explanation for that." He laughed and you sighed.
" your turn" he said.
You cried a bit more and Ronnie held you.
" you're not the same anymore" you state and he rubs your hair.
" we're not the same anymore!" You croak.
Ronnie wanted to say something but he couldn't. You were right and he knew it. You both knew it was over.
" I'm sorry babe" he said and held you a bit more.
" me too" you said.
After you guys were done you went to bed and Ronnie went to sleep on the couch.
He was about to sleep until he saw some papers.
Divorce papers from your lawyer this morning.
Bending over he sighed. Picked up a pin and signed them.
