Decisions, decisions, decisions... all bad ones.

How do people choose the perfect wedding dress? They're all white, so the color factor shouldn't really be a problem. It's just that they're all so beautiful-- how do people choose?

I was having the hardest time trying to pick one. Each one was prettier than the last. At least two hours had passed since I'd walked into the dress shop, and I was no closer to selecting one than when I'd started.

My thoughts wandered for a moment, landing on the man I was to marry. I had dragged him into the shop with me-- I wondered what he was doing then. I'd bet he was bored.

This dress was nice, but it was too long. The next one was too flouncy, and the one after that wasn't flouncy enough. Was I ever going to find one?

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, I found a dress I thought was just right. It had just the right amount of poof and was very elegant. This was something I would want to walk down the aisle in-- it was simply beautiful. I could just picture it...

I was torn from my daydream as the curtain to my dressing room was yanked open a few inches. I jumped a little and turned around, startled at the sudden noise and movement. I grabbed my jacket and put it in front of me, covering myself and the dress with it. Well, I no longer had reason to wonder how he was doing; there was my husband-to-be.

"Izzy! What if I had been naked?"

"You take off your underwear when you try clothes on?"

"I- shut up. Wait, you can't see this dress!"

He tilted his head a little and closed his eyes tight. "Why? Is that the one you're getting?"

"Yes, and it's bad luck if you see it, so go away!"

"Seriously? Let me see." He didn't even wait before opening his eyes and taking a step back. "Move the jacket, I wanna see it."

I knew he wouldn't give up on that, so I sighed and put the jacket down. His eyes widened a little and I had to smile at the way his Adam's apple moved in a hard gulp.

"You like it?"

"You-- you look-- beautiful."

"Aw. Too bad I can't get this one anymore."

"What?" He shook his head, seeming to come out of a trance. "Why not?"

"You've seen it. It's bad luck."

"Are you for real?" He laughed. "That's the one, Lou."

"I'm sure it was," I said, looking around for the hanger. "Time to put it back now."

He moved forward and gently grabbed my arms. "Get this one, I'm serious. You won't find a better one. Screw the bad luck, that's not even real."

"Don't say that. You'll get bad luck." My words prompted a lame look from Izzy that I couldn't help but laugh at. "And fine, I'll keep this one. If I end up falling at the wedding, it'll be your fault."

"Come on, I would catch you."

"What if I was all the way across the room?"

"I would run," he said, moving a little closer to me. I fought the urge to kiss him and instead pushed him all the way out of the dressing room.

"Wait a second, I'll be right out."

Once I was sure I had made the right choice I changed back into my original outfit and headed out with my dress in hand. Izzy was standing right outside, looking relieved that I was finally out.

Once the purchase was complete, we left the shop and headed home. I put the carefully covered dress in the closet, hoping nothing would happen to it. I exited the room to find Izzy once again looking very impatient.

"C'mon, it was your idea to go see the spot in the first place. Let's go. It's gonna rain soon."

"I know, jeez. What's gotten into you? Have some patience."

"I ran out of it at the shop," he told me as I locked the door to our flat.

"Fair enough." We started toward the place I was thinking of holding the wedding reception at. It was a pretty fancy place-- a ballroom, in fact, complete with high windows and a nice sound system.

The sky was full of dark gray clouds threatening to tear open and drench us at any second. It was a rainy season, so it wouldn't come as a surprise, but I hoped it wouldn't come down too soon.

Luckily, we made it to the ballroom before it started to rain. Izzy held the door open as I walked in, taking in the grand sight before me. This was the second time I had seen it, and I was just as blown away by how elegant everything looked. It was fit for a royal ball!

The never-ending music was playing at a medium volume. It was some random song I didn't recognize, so I ignored it for the moment. Even though most of the light in the large room was natural, it was still pretty bright, which was strange considering how dark it was outside. Those must be some pretty powerful little lightbulbs.

"Well?" Izzy asked softly as I looked around.

"I was sure about it the first time I saw it, but if it's possible I'm even more sure now."

He laughed and took a few steps in the opposite direction, looking up at the ceiling. "Yeah, it's pretty cool."

"You're pretty cool," I said almost instinctively. He looked down at me with confusion marking his features and we both laughed.

"Uh, thanks?"

I put up a pair of finger-guns and he laughed again. I went back to looking around to make sure it was the right place. Izzy followed me the entire time, asking me what I thought every now and then.

"Alright, this is perfect. What do you think?"

"If you like it so do I," Izzy said. "I guess this is where we're getting married."

I turned and grabbed both of his hands, lifting and lowering them once in excitement. "Yup. This is the place."

"It sure is," he said, squeezing my hands and leaning forward to kiss my forehead. "You ready to go home now?"

It was November, so a little rain was expected. But neither of us had anticipated the storm that was coming down when we left for home. Which meant that neither of us had an umbrella, and both of us were getting hit with the full force of the cats and dogs falling from the sky. Well... that's a lie. Izzy had an arm around me and kept putting a hand over my head, partially shielding me from the downpour.

"This sucks," he said, "I'm cold."

"Maybe if you'd worn an actual sweater... I got nothing," I laughed. I was wearing a sweater, but I was still soaked to the skin.

"Yeah, exactly. Be quiet," he laughed. "Well, we're halfway there."

"No we're not. Halfway there is the Italian restaurant. We're halfway to that."

"We're a quarter of a way there," he said, and I looked at him in time to see him roll his eyes just like I knew he would. He looked back at me and grinned, shaking my shoulder a little before steadying it and holding me even closer than he had been.

"I'm cold," I said a little while later. "We gotta walk faster or I'll be dead before we get there. I'm already starting to freeze solid."

"Hurry up then," Izzy said, shaking my shoulder again before kissing the top of my head.

"I can't with your heavy arm slowing me down."

"Yeah, because that's obviously how it works. And of course, it's heavy enough to be able to do that."

"All the water's making it heavier."

"Fine," he said, taking his arm off my shoulders.

"Wait, no, I was kidding. Put it back."

He laughed and put it back, then stopped walking altogether. I was about to ask what was wrong when he suddenly put one arm on my hand and the other behind my knees before pulling upward and picking me up.

"Put me down," I said, my voice more of a squeal than anything. He laughed and leaned down to kiss my nose.

"No."

And so he carried me all the way back home.

The wedding was beautiful and everything I had ever dreamed of. We danced all night and had so much fun reminiscing and partying. And I can't forget to mention Izzy in a tux...

At some time around eleven p.m., Izzy took my hand and brought me out to the hall's garden.

"Are you having a good time?" He asked as we walked around, shaking his hand a little to make my entire arm move.

"Yeah," I laughed. "This night has been amazing. It's everything I've ever wanted-- you're everything I've ever wanted."

"Don't get cheesy on me," he said with a little grin. "I'm kidding. This is better than anything I could've ever imagined. I love you so much."

"I love you too," I replied, putting my other hand on his arm and resting my head on his shoulder.

"You know, I can't picture my life without you. I really can't. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me, Louise."

"I can say the same for you, Jeffrey." I stopped walking and he turned to face me.

"Only I'm allowed to do that," he said, one corner of his mouth turning up.

"Do what?" I asked, acting as if I had no idea what he was talking about.

"Use... your actual..." He started moving closer to me. I followed his lead, only to pull away at the very last moment.

"Actual what?"

"How dare you?" He laughed. "You ruined the moment. We were having such a--"

I cut him off by yanking him forward by the tie and placing my lips on his. He reacted immediately, putting his arms around me and kissing back.

I suddenly paid attention to the song that was playing inside, and it seemed Izzy did too. He broke the kiss but kept his arms around my waist, laughing a little bit.

"This is the cheesiest song they could possibly play right now," he said.

"It's our literal wedding," I laughed. "Shut up and enjoy it."

"Oh, don't think I'm not," he said, moving closer again.

He was kind of right, though. I mean...

Shall I stay? Would it be a sin, if I can't help falling in love with you...
