"so how do you reverse this?" Ink asked. "i can't. fate has as much control over this dimension as i. i can't undo what she does just like she can't undo what i do." I explained. "So it's a double edged sword."
"yes, exactly."
"So.." Dream started. "you can't stop it.."
"BUT YOU CAN ALTER IT." Edge picked up. "also yes."
"an' my bro for the win." Red sounded amused and mildly startled. "h-h-ow?"
"Multiversal magic?" Undyne ask/demanded. Dust and Killer shrugged. "would it be that easy?" Reaper asked. "i wish, but no. it's not that easy though. fate binds herself to a host whenever she does major things like this. the last host was error. the one before was ink. the one before that nightmare. usually the host doesn't remember her influence." Said named skeletons looked startled, well except Error, who still had the lingering effects of Fate's control on him. "not to mention cross." Red spoke up. "right, right. the x event."
"THE WHAT?" Papyrus asked. "the major events of the multiverse. nightmare's multiversal frisk/chara kidnapping, ink's rampage over other multiverses, error's destruction of aus, and cross' x event."
"Rampage over other multiverses?" Alphys asked. "i.. don't like to talk about it.." Ink muttered. "anyways. we need to find the new host and loosen her hold on said host."
"and after that?" Carrot asked. "she should be weak enough for me to overwrite and alter what she did. after that we go over the same song and dance. we fight our forever battle until she gets bored."
"well what are we waiting for?" Dust asked. "let's find that host." Killer finished.

"ever thought we'd be working together again?" Dream asked Nightmare as they walked the Ruins of their 7th au. There was surprisingly no wild monsters in that area. "no." The elder stated bluntly. "so.. that time..? it wasn't even you? it was fate?"
"apparently." He wanted to talk about something other than this. "i would like to continue the search, so please, shut up." Dream stopped, than followed after Nightmare. "ok. do.. do you hate me? for.. back then? before.. the apples?" It was Nightmare's turn to pause, the Younger nearly bumping into him. "... no.. i don't hate you, nor will i ever hate you. you are my brother, dream, and though we fight, i will always love you as such." Dream looked up at his big brother. "nightmare.. i love you too, brother." A small grin played at the negative beings teeth. "we can reconcile later, let's just find the host, for now."
"ok!"

Killer and Dust were also on their 7th au. "i miss horror's cooking." Killer sighed. "i miss conservations with cross and x chara."
"only because your both crazy." Dust laughed and shoved Killer. "Oh shut up, man!" Killer joined Dust. "c'mon! ya love me!"
"That i do." Dust agreed. "you think the boss will ever approve?" Dust put an arm around his worried mate. "hopefully someday, kills. maybe someday."

Error and Ink were forced to tolerate each other. The silence was thick between the enemies. Until.. "h-h-how do y-y-beep- you just-ify kiiiiiiiiiiilling en-tire m-mult-t-tiverses a-s bet-ter than wh-at i beep was f-f-forced to d-do?"
"if you weren't listening. i was forced to do what i did. besides, i didn't even have my paints at the time."
"s-soul-less pri-beep-ck. i ca-a-a-nt wa-it unt-til th-is is over s-so i c-can mur-rder you." He growled. "the feeling is mutual, glitch." Ink glared at Error. It was going to be a long search for the pair.

Edge and Carrot were partnered together as well. Things were going better for them, say the least. "maybe if ya talked to red, instead a beatin 'im, than he'd listen, ya know? ya can still work things out." Edge crossed his arms. "AND I SUPPOSE YOURE THE EXPERT?" Carrot took out a cigarette and offered the hot head one. "far from. but blue an i do have a pretty good relationship. we have our chunks, but we work 'em out together." Edge took Carrot up on his offer. "PERHAPS YOU AREN'T AS DUMB AS I ASSUMED." Carrot glanced at him. "uh thanks.. i think.."

Toriel and Asgore looked around the au. "It looks just like home but.." Asgore trailed off. "90ser?" Fresh popped up, scaring the couple. "Holy duck!" Nobody was sure if it was Toriel's version of cursing or Fresh censoring her. "welcome to underfresh brosifs. unfortunately my people are being completely unradical right now so can I hang with you cool dudes for a bit?" They were extremely uncertain. "Uh.."
"sweet! this way, less trouble." Fresh led them along to the Ruins.

"something tells me that Fresh is ok in this chaos." Geno mumbled. He and Reaper stayed in the pocket dimension so Geno wouldn't die. "it's fresh. of course that 90s nightmare is fine in the multiversal apocalypse."the god of death replied. Geno groaned. "i don't want to life right now."
"welp. are you dead serious?" Geno snickered. "really? are ya kitten me? right meow?" And the pun battle ensued, with no end in sight. Reaper telling death puns and Geno telling kitten and depression puns.

"S-so in this au.. you and I are swapped?" Alphys was fascinated at this. "That's so weird. I still don't understand WHY Sans didn't say anything sooner. We are his friends.. right?" It ticked Undyne off, being in the dark after all these years. "How can Papyrus even be ok with this?! Knowing that were all just.. copies.."
"I-in a way.. I c-can see where Sans is coming f-from. I-i mean. I-it was a lot t-to explain.."
"Well yeah. But it doesn't mean it's ok!"
"A-and I agree. I-its really not, b-but see it from h-his point of veiw?"
"HELLO!" Blue smiled cheerfully at the newcomers. "I'VE BEEN EXPECTING YOU."

Frisk didn't like this au, nor did Papyrus. It was an au called Underlust, and gave them deeply off vibes. (Sorry underlust fans) Needless to say, they stuck close to each other. "So.. it must be kinda cool.. knowing that Sans is a god.."
"I.. I THINK I'VE ALWAYS KNEW.. DEEP DOWN.. THAT SANS WAS DIFFERENT FROM US.. OR AT LEAST.. A LOT OF THINGS THAT HE DID AND SAID MAKES SENSE NOW."

"same with the other gods?" Red asked. "yep. pretty much."
What brings you two here?" A dim glow lit the darkness of Waterfall. It was G's cigarette, go figure, and the white pin pricks of his eyes. It must have been a genocide route here when everything went down. "oh you know, multiverse went to shit. same old."
"Wait what?" G pushed off the wall and approached us. "it's exactly what red said. we could use your help g."
"how do we know he ain't the host..?" Red asked suspiciously. G looked utterly confused. "i would feel her presence. she ain't here."
"The hell is going on-" I cut G off with a signal. "what is it?"
"i can't sense undyne or alphys anymore.."
