Chapter 3

The person in the picture above is Nate

Warning: In this chapter it does talk about bullying to an extent and self harm. If you're uncomfortable reading about that type of stuff, please skip over that part of the chapter.

As all the boys left the club room to go home, Lucas stopped Max while he was fixing his backpack in the club room. "Max, how have you been?" Lucas questions, leaning himself against the desk beside Max's.

"I'm not really the type of person who likes to re-connect with old friends. Just pretend you don't know me." Max answers in a sharp tone, zipping his backpack up and swinging it over his shoulder.

"Oh come on Max, you can't deny that you never liked doing it with me? You know, I'm actually in the mood right now if you want to go at it?" Lucas asks while biting his bottom lip. Bringing his hand down and grabbing Max's butt firmly.

Max stood still when he felt Lucas grab his butt and then looked at him seriously. "I'd only do it with someone like you if you pay me." He answers before walking away from Lucas, forcing Lucas to let go of him.

"Damn that turns me on." Lucas laughs, chasing after Max.

As the two boys left the club room first, Ryan shook his head trying to think straight. "How can you even do it with another man? Is it possible for a male and another male to love each other? It confuses me." Ryan says out loud, trying to think things through for himself.

"Of course two men can love each other Ryan." Nate explains in a smile, trying to organise some papers for tomorrows club meeting.

"Yeah but isn't it wrong? God made two genders...male and female...right? I don't see how the same sex can love each other and have intercourse..." Ryan says in a light sigh, rubbing the side of his head. He looked like he was stressing a bit too much over it.

"Why're you paying attention to Max's relationship? We all know he's some delinquent who likes getting money in any way he can. Just because he can bare it up the butt doesn't mean you should care about it. Worry about yourself first before you worry about others." Carter says to Ryan across the room.

"Wh-what do you mean?" Ryan asks in a stutter.

"I mean if you like girls, then you like girls. If he likes guys, then he likes guys. Don't bother with someone else if their life doesn't affect yours." Carter says in a smile before turning around and leaving the room with Todd following behind him.

Kevin sighed out loud, turning his head to Jake and questions "my chauffeur is in the parking lot, you want a drive home?"

Jake nodded meaning yes and they both got up at the same time. "Kevin, could you drive me home too?" Jackson asks, getting up at the same time as well.

"Sure, follow me" Kevin answers, leaving the room first.

Jacob was closing his laptop before answering "I'm going to head out too, anything you need me to do for you guys before I leave?" Jacob questions, already putting his laptop inside his backpack.

"No, thanks for coming Jacob." Nate answers and Jacob nodded meaning okay.

Ethan got up from his own seat and started walking out of the club with his head down. He didn't want to say goodbye to anyone, or talk to anyone. All he wanted to do was get out of there as fast as he could.

Ethan walked straight out of the school and grabbed his chest, feeling like he could actually breathe now. Ethan had never been in a room where he was forced to associate with other people. In class, Ethan rarely ever participated, let alone people never realised he was there. In this club, everyone knows he's there, and he's forced to participate which just makes him more anxious.

Warning: This is where the bullying/ talking about self harm starts. If you're uncomfortable with reading this type of stuff, please skip over it and read the next chapter.

Carter was on his way home when he pushed past Ethan as he and Todd walked before him. Ethan glanced at Carter from over his bangs and glared at him. "Is the little emo kid getting mad?" Carter questions in a tone like he was making fun of Ethan, and speaking to him as if he was a child.

"Come on Carter, we can't be rude to Ethan, he's in the club, remember?" Todd says, trying to lead Carter away from Ethan so he didn't have to bug him.

"Oh come on Todd, just cause we're in that stupid club doesn't mean I'll change or anything? Come on emo freak, show me your bag. I want to see what you have in there." Carter asks, stopping in front of Ethan and holding his hand out for Ethan to put his backpack in of it.

Ethan stopped walking when Carter stood in front of him and kept his head down. The most Carter and Todd could see of Ethan's face was the bottom of his mouth because his bangs were covering the top half of his face as he looked down. He slowly pulled the backpack from off of his back and handed it to Carter.

Carter snatched the backpack out of Ethan's hands, taking it from him as he opened the backpack to see what Ethan had inside. Ethan didn't have much inside his backpack other than a textbook, notebooks, his pencil case, and his wallet.

Carter took Ethan's wallet out of his backpack and took all of the money that was inside of it. "Forty dollars huh?" Carter questions, taking the forty dollars and putting it in his pants pocket. He threw Ethan's wallet into his backpack until pulling out his pencil case, seeing if Ethan was hiding anything else in his pencil case.

As Carter opened Ethan's pencil case, only a couple of pencil's were seen, none of them were sharpened though. Carter had also found a sharpener with no blade inside of it. When he found the blade which was taken out of the sharpener, he chuckled and pulled it out. "You are a true emo, aren't you, you freak?" Carter questions, taking the razor out and throwing his pencil case back into his backpack.

Todd was even a bit surprised to see the blade separated from the sharpener. Only a couple of people in the school knew that Ethan actually hurts himself, but everyone else just thought it was a lie, or a rumour to get attention.

Carter threw Ethan's backpack to the ground before walking up to Ethan and slowly putting the blade inside of Ethan's pocket. "Try cutting a bit deeper next time, huh?" Carter asks in a smile, chuckling a bit after before turning around and walking away with Todd beside him.

As Carter walked away, Ethan could feel the tears forming in his eyes. He quickly picked up his backpack from off the ground and swung it onto his back. He slowly put his hand inside of the pocket Carter had put the blade in, but accidentally cut his finger.

When he took his hand out of his pocket to see his finger now had a cut on it, he watched the blood drip from his finger before clenching his fist tightly, trying to hold his tears back some more before continuing to walk home with his head down.

"You don't think we went too hard on him back there bro?" Todd questions, looking at Carter in a bit of concern.

"Nah, Ethan's a baby but he's too chicken to actually kill himself." Carter explains before putting his hands inside his pockets. "So are you and your parents still fighting about the tattoo you got?" Carter questions, looking at Todd in curiosity.

"Of course they are, whenever they see me all they do is shout. I swear I need to find a job so I can get out of that house already!" Todd explains in a sigh, just thinking about it made his head hurt.

"I don't see what's the big problem with a small little tattoo. I got one." Carter says in a smile, showing his tattoo which was near his collarbone.

"Yeah but that's cause your parents don't care" Todd says before looking off to a side, seeing his house in the distance. "It looks like my parents aren't home yet since their car isn't in the driveway. I'll text you later!" Todd says before running up to his house, leaving Carter to walk home by himself.

"Yeah...see you later." Carter faintly says, saying goodbye to Todd as he ran away.

As Carter got home, one of the lady's sighed while seeing him. "Carter what did I tell you about coming home late?!"

"I joined a club, and you know basketball practice already brings me home late anyway. Why're you complaining about it today?" Carter questions in annoyance, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Well tomorrow is your birthday, we need to plan what we're going to make for you!" The lady says in an encouraging tone, sounding excited just talking about it.

"I don't want to do anything for my birthday."

"But Carter you never want to do anything for your birthday. Maybe this year is the year we actually do something for a change? Come on, all of the kids here do things for their birthday, can't you be happy for once?" The lady questions, looking at him seriously and concerned.

"That's because all of them know when their birthday is! It's not shown or documented anywhere on when my birthday is. So why celebrate it when don't even know when my birthday is?!"

"Well it's estimated that you were born somewhere during this time of the month, come on please Carter for a change?" The lady pleads.

"I said I don't want to do anything!" Carter says for the last time, storming into the house where a couple of kids were running, chasing after each other.

"Yah, you kids no running in the house!" Another lady exclaims, trying to stop them from running. "Carter could you help set the table? Another kid is coming today and I can't do everything by myself."

"Sure" Carter says before taking off his shoes and heading to the dining room to set the table. "Is it a baby?" Carter questions, sounding like he was curious but also like he didn't care at the same time.

"No he's eleven. Apparently the family disowned him or something along those lines. He's probably upset, that's why I want him to be happy when he comes here and see's he has others who are just like him and that he's not alone." The lady explains from the kitchen as she continued to prepare the meal.

"Yeah...we're all the same here..." Carter says to himself quietly, looking down as he started to set out the napkins.

Meanwhile with Kevin, he drove Jackson and Jake home. As he got home himself, the chauffeur opened the door for him as he got out of the car and another person took his backpack for him. As he walked into the house, he took off his shoes and saw a maid greet him as he entered the front door. "Would you like to take a bath sir, I've already run the water?" She questions, looking at Kevin with a smile on her face.

"I don't want to take a bath now, but keep the heat on in the bathtub because I probably will later on. Did any of the chefs make anything to eat? I'm starving." Kevin questions as he walked farther into the house, turning to walk into the kitchen where three chefs were preparing for dinner in the huge kitchen.

"I'll ask" the maid says as she walked up to one of the chef's who looked like he was busy cutting up some meat. The chef nodded to whatever the maid had asked and pointed to the fridge.

Kevin took a bite of something another chef had already prepared for dinner and made a face like he didn't enjoy it. "I don't want this for dinner, make something else." Kevin says, and the chef who was already halfway done making it nodded meaning okay, turning off the stove and trying to figure out something new to make.

"Here sir, the chefs have cut up some fruit for you to nibble on in the meantime." The maid says, holding out the plate of fruit in front of Kevin.

Kevin took a look at the fruit on the plate before picking up a grape and throwing it inside his mouth. "Take it up to my bedroom, I'm going to talk to my father." He says and the maid nodded, leaving the kitchen to bring it to Kevin's bedroom.

Kevin left the kitchen as well, walking down one of the long hallways and knocking on his fathers office door. "Who is it?" His father questions, sounding annoyed, like he didn't want to deal with anyone.

Kevin opened the door slightly, poking his head inside before saying "it's me." He entered the office and closed the door behind him before standing in front of his fathers desk.

His father didn't bother to look up at him as he stood before him and says a stern, angry "what is it?" As he continued to look at the paperwork in front of him with a lot of numbers typed down on it.

"I got in trouble today" Kevin starts off with saying, which made his fathers head jolt up to look at him from the papers he was scanning.

"Why did you get in trouble?" His father asks, now staring at him with a glare.

"Well I-" Kevin starts to explain but then got interrupted by his father once again.

"On second thought I don't want to hear it. Knowing you, you probably did something stupid. You're always doing something stupid. Do you want to make our company look like we have a bad name? You're such a selfish brat, never thinking about the good of the company and what it might look for us if you get in trouble." He hisses, sounding more angry while he was talking about it.

"I didn't get suspended or anything, I just have to go to a club every single day after school" Kevin tries to explain but his father put one hand up meaning he didn't want to hear it.

"I just said I don't want to know Kevin, did I not say that?" He asks and Kevin nodded meaning he was right. His father sighed deeply before standing up from his leather chair and saying "pull your pants down."

Kevin bit down on his bottom lip but did as his father told him to. His father grabbed one of the hangers where he hung his nice coat up on and walked up to where Kevin was, sitting down and telling Kevin to show him his butt.

Kevin sighed, closing his eyes as he did so and his father hit him repeatedly on the butt with the metal hanger. Counting up every time he hit him.
