Chapter 1

(The person in the picture above is Max)

Max woke up with a headache, already hearing his parents shouting at each other first thing in the morning is never what he liked to hear. "At least I don't need an alarm clock." He mumbles to himself, sounding annoyed.

He sluggishly got out of bed as he walked over to the washroom to brush his hair, teeth and to wash his face. Max stared at himself in the mirror for a second before turning his gaze away and forcing himself not to look at his reflection.

Max slowly walked downstairs once he was done getting ready, where he tried to carefully put on his shoes for school, hoping his parents wouldn't hear him.

He successfully got his things in order before opening the front door and leaving the house to get to school. Max didn't like school, it was one of the last place he'd ever want to be; but he didn't like being at home even more.

He walked towards the school with his head down. As he was getting closer to the school, he  noticed a group of kids in front of him. The group of kids looked back to see him starting to walk towards them and all moved out of the way so he could get by.

He walked onto school property and everyone was looking at Max the same way the group of peers were looking at him before he walked in. Everyone was looking at him with fear in their eyes, scared to talk or even come close to him.

Max glared at everyone who he passed, annoyed with all the staring. He didn't mean to glare, if anything he hated that he glared, even when he didn't mean to. His eyes just made it look like he was glaring all the time, and that he never wanted to associate with anyone.

At the same time, a couple of the eyes were off of his attention, and were staring at the group of boys entering the school. "Oh my gosh, they're so handsome!" Max could hear one girl exclaim off to a side as she went running towards the group.

The group who had just entered the school were called 'the populars.' Some of the boys were on the basketball team, and some of them were just friends with the jocks and were considered as 'popular.' The main people in this group that all the girls would obsess over is Todd, Jake, Carter and Kevin. Todd and Carter were on the basketball team. Jake was just popular for his good looks, and Kevin was only popular for his wealth.

"Todd, I'm going to see your basketball game tonight, are you guys going to do well?" A girl asks, looking up at Todd with mesmerized eyes.

"Actually, the game got cancelled tonight because the other school can't make it. I heard someone on their team broke their leg and they were their best player, so it's not happening tonight." Todd answers, sounding like he was and wasn't trying to give her any attention. That's something Todd was an expert at, the classic 'push and pull.'

"Awe really, I was looking forward to watching you play tonight." The girl says, now looking up at Todd while pouting at him slightly.

"You know what, why don't we go to the  burger shop down the road instead and get a milkshake after school?" Todd asks, smirking at her.

The girls face blushed into a light pink while Todd had asked that. "S-Sure!" She says in excitement before turning around and running away to go tell her friends the good news.

"You really going to get her a milkshake dude?" Carter questions in a smile, while raising one eyebrow at Todd.

"Yeah, buying her a milkshake, having a good time, and then we can...you know." Todd says, hoping Carter would know what he was implying after he stopped talking.

"You're an animal man!" Carter laughs, lightly pushing Todd on his side.

At the same time a boy was walking with his head down, not noticing where he was going until he bumped into all the jocks walking down the hall. He bumped into Carter specifically which everyone was kind of shocked to see.

"What're you doing, freak?!" Carter asks, sounding angry. He pushed the 'freak' aside, which made him harshly bump into a couple of lockers. "What a loser" Carter continues to say in a chuckle as their whole group continued to walk past him.

The freak that Carter had pushed, his name was Ethan. He was use to the bullying so he didn't really care much. He slowly pulled himself off of the lockers, rubbing the side that had hit it. He wanted to go to the nurses office to at least get some ice for the bruises that were probably going to appear on his arm, but he always goes to the nurses office. So much so, that the nurse told him that he should only come when he's bleeding or really sick.

Ethan sighed as he tried making his way to his classroom, he wanted to get there first and early so no one could take his seat. That's what everyone usually does, they take his seat to sit with their friends, so he's left trying to fend for himself before the teacher walks in and asks why he's still standing up.

Ethan opened the door to where his classroom was, to see a bunch of unfamiliar faces, standing in a circle, holding hands. It looked like a group of girls and boys doing so. Ethan raised one eyebrow, looking at the group confused on what was going on.

When the door opened, everyone in the group turned their heads to see who had opened the door and saw it was Ethan. "Oh, it's just the emo freak." One of the people in their group says in an un-amused tone.

"Don't be like that Rob, remember what the Lord said: 'treat onto others, the way you would like to be treated' did he not?" The leader of their small group asks and Rob slowly nodded meaning yes.

The leader then continues to say "it looks like the first bell is about to ring anyway so we might as well wrap it up and start heading to class." He explains as he let go of the hands he was holding. Everyone let go of each others hands before going to their bags to grab them and leave the room.

As everyone was leaving the room to get to their own classroom, roughly pushing past Ethan on their way out, the leader of their small group was the only one to stay back to talk to Ethan. Ethan was a bit confused on why he had staid back but gave it no thought before closing the door behind him and walking to his seat.

The leader swung his own backpack over his shoulder before walking up to the desk Ethan was sitting at with a big smile on his face. "Um, hello?" Ethan says in a mumbled tone, looking at the boy who had just walked in front of him.

"Hi, my name's Ryan what's yours?" He asks, holding out his hand for Ethan to shake.

Ethan looked at Ryan's hands and tucked his own hands away underneath his desk and into his lap, to imply that he wasn't going to shake his hand. "None of your business." Ethan continues to mumble.

Ryan brought his hand back and answers "I see, well I'm sorry our small little group bothered you this morning. We didn't know anyone would be in this room before class started. We asked your teacher if we could do our prayers in here first thing in the morning and she agreed ensuring us that none of her students came early enough to disturb. I guess she was wrong, I will apologise for the group." Ryan says in a firm smile.

"I don't care, do whatever you want, pray for your make-believe magical man in the sky, I don't care."

Ryan looked at Ethan, taking a breath out before trying to keep his smile and answering "I respect your beliefs" before turning around and leaving the classroom.

Ryan was walking to his first period which was English, he loved English class because he felt like he could express himself. Right now they were writing an essay in English about who they looked up to the most, which to him was God. He was excited to finish his essay and read it to his parents, he knew they would be proud of him for what he wrote.

As he entered class, it was loud like usual and all the students were talking to one another, or were talking to their friends. Ryan took his seat, and right when he sat down the teacher entered the classroom, clapping her hands together to get everyone's attention on her, and to settle everyone down. At the same time, the bell rang for the first class to start.

Once she stopped walking and stood in front of the class, she looked at everyone and says "we're going to continue working on the rough draft of our essays, is everyone okay with that?"

"Yes" everyone says simultaneously and the teacher nodded before sitting down at her desk and marking work for herself.

Ryan quickly pulled out his laptop from his backpack before opening it up, waiting for it to start up so he could continue working on his rough draft.

At the same time someone knocked on the door. A girl who was sitting close to the door opened it for whoever had knocked and smiled when she saw who it was. "It's the student council president." A couple of girls say, squealing in their seats because he was so handsome.

The teacher stood up from her desk and walked up to him, questioning "is there something you need?"

"I was wondering if there was anyone who's good with technology in this class, we're having a bit of trouble with the computer down at the student  council office and need a helping hand." He answers in a polite tone.

The teacher nodded, scanning the sea of students in their desks before calling out "Jacob, come here for a moment."

Jacob stood up when the teacher had called him and walked up to both her, and the student council president. "Do you know how to work with computers?" She asks, looking down at Jacob while waiting for an answer.

Jacob slowly nodded meaning yes. "I thought so" she said before Jacob could even open his mouth to say 'yes.' "They're having some trouble with their computer down in the student council office, go help them with it, okay?" She asks and Jacob nodded again meaning he would.

As Jacob and the student council president left the classroom, they walked down the hall to get to the student council's room until the president says "your class was the third one I had to ask, I'm surprised that in the twenty first century, no one else is good with computers. Well, at least in the classes I've asked before yours." He explains in a light chuckle.

The president led Jacob into the room and explains "this is the computer that's not working, do you know what's wrong with it?"

Jacob sat down in front of the computer, clicking on a couple of things with the mouse, but no change was made. He then proceeded into typing codes into the keyboard, trying to figure out what was wrong. "What're you doing?" The president asks, looking at Jacob's fingers confused.

"I'm hacking into the software, and from that point I'm going to fix a couple things before getting you back onto whatever you were doing." Jacob explains, continuing to quickly type away.

After everything was done, and Jacob got the laptop back up and running, the president was really surprised that he was able to do so. "Wow thanks...your name is Jacob, right?" He questions and Jacob nodded meaning yes. "My name's Jackson, if anything happens to the laptop again, I'll make sure to come to you for help." He answers in a smile.

"Sure thing" Jacob faintly says before leaving the student council office, leaving Jackson alone.

"Wah that guy sure is something." Jackson says to himself as he continued to do whatever he was doing before.

"You're still in here Jackson?" The vice president of the student council questions, entering the room with a smile on his face.

"Yeah, I'm just finishing up the schedule we're going to do for the next upcoming assembly, is everything okay?" He asks, looking up from his computer so he was actually looking at the person while talking to him.

"Yeah everything's fine with me, but something might be with you..." the vice president says, looking at Jackson concerned.

"What, did something happen?" Jackson asks, looking at him in worry.

"No, but the principal told me to tell you to go to his office after school."

"Oh, he probably just wants to know what we're going to do for the assembly. I haven't e-mailed him the schedule yet. I better get it done then." Jackson says in a reassuring smile, now turning his gaze down onto the computer screen to continue working on the schedule.

"You sure it's about the assembly and not about...that?" The vice president questions, sounding uncertain and a bit scared.

Jackson stopped typing and continued to stare at the keyboard when he had asked that and sighed deeply. He looked back up at the vice president and answers "everything is going to be fine, it's not about that. And if it is, then I'll take the blame."

"You can't do that Jackson-"

"Don't worry about it Carl." Jackson reassures. The boy nodded meaning okay before turning around and leaving the student council office, closing the door behind him.

Right when the door closed, Jackson let out a big sigh while looking down at the keyboard of the computer.

Hey guys, did you like the way I was trying to introduce all the characters? It kind of switched from one person to the other when they encountered one another. The only person that I didn't encounter was Nate, but he'll be showing up in the next chapter because everyone is going to meet in the next chapter. I don't know why I introduced the characters like that in those few couple of chapters before this, but I personally got that information and the pictures I used from my roleplay app. I roleplay with these characters, I'm just making a story out of them all. Please don't steal the roleplay themes I used or anything (without asking first to see if it's okay that is.) Thank you for deciding to read this new story I put out, it means a lot.
