50|Game of hearts

I STIRRED AWAKE TO FIND myself in another person's room... It's meant to be New year's Eve! Mom will so kill me.

I groaned as a killing headache hit me straight..... I felt like puking. I did not drink did I!? 

I tried to adjust to where I was.... This is not Michelle's room, or Charlotte or even Chloe!

I'm in Finn's room.... I raised the duvet to still see my underwears on! I breathed out in relief.

But I was wearing his hoodie which means he undressed me.... I laid down back.

"You're awake" Finn said as he came out of his bathroom... Startling me.

"Don't let that towel drop..... My eyes are innocent" I said as he chuckled.

He had this towel wrapped dangerously low on his waist with his wet hair. Holy hotness.

"Did I drink last night?" I asked and he turned then started laughing.

" What?" I asked

"The drunk ivy is very very chatty and flirty" He said and I groaned.

"What did I say?"

"You told the guys what made you and Allison become friends, you told me how you'd like to kiss me all day... May I go on?" He said with a smirk and I threw a pillow at him.

"Fuck you"I mumbled as I groaned.

"Your mom called" he said and I flew up.

"What did she say!? That I'm grounded?" I said with a groan.

"As long as she thought you slept in Michelle's room then you're fine" He said and I sighed...

" I'm hungry" I said as stood up, I felt like the room was spinning so I balanced myself with the table. "And your room is surprisingly neat" I teased... Finn hates a dirty room.

He mimicked me as I laughed "I'll be downstairs while you get dressed" I said as he kissed me...

I went straight to Michelle's room to see her flat on her bed.

I banged on her door as she jerked awake.

"What!?" She asked and I laughed... She was the one who spiked my drink!

"Wakeup or Tavi would ground you" I warned as she groaned.

"Remind me to never drink on New year's Eve" She said

"I will baby... Now let's go". I said as she stood up and quickly put her hair in a messy bun. Lucky!

She changed into an oversized hoodie with her silly bunny slippers.

"I can't find where mine are" I said as she stumbled a bit and I tried to hold back my laughter.

We got downstairs to see my mom... I stopped in my tracks as she looked at me then smiled.

"Good morning Mom" I and Michelle said as we hugged them.

"Morning" They both said.

"You drank yesterday didn't you?" Octavia asked Michelle as I barked out my laugh.

Mine wasn't obvious so I kept quiet.

"No I didn't, Alcohol was spilled on me" She said with a bold face that would make you believe her.

Tavi hummed.

" And you slept in Michelle's room or where?" Mom asked as I gulped.

" I slept in Michelle's room mom... Where else would I sleep?" I said as I made a face.

" Sure"

"Good morning aunt Kat"Adrian said as he came in with his nanny.

Mom smiled then hugged him bef he came to hug me....

"Hey there little guy!"I said as we fist bumped.

"I'm not little" He complained as I raised my hand in mock surrender.

"Hello guys! I think I might puke" Zachary gagged as he puked in the sink.

Disgusting.

"Gross! Why'd you do that in the sink?" Adrian said with disgust as mom chuckled.

"Hey guys!New year's Eve uhn"Chloe said as she got downstairs.

We all nodded, she turned on her phone.

"Hey guys! So as our tradition every new year's Eve...  We smash something!" Chloe said to the camera.

"You dare not smash anything in my house"Tavi reprimanded as Chloe shook her head then laughed.

"Let's see... What would we be smashing! Michelle chose for us last year...  Ivy!" Chloe squealed as she saw me standing like a mess in the kitchen.

" Hey guys! I'm ivy Carter.... Nice to meet ya" I said with the brightest fakest smile I could give.

"What are we smashing?" She asked me as I stared akwardly at the camera.

"Um"

"We're smashing The TV!" Finn surprisingly came to the camera to steal my show. I glared at him as Tavi and mom gasped.

"Not my own TV" Tavi warned "Finn! You'll get me another TV and even get me a projector without your next monthly allowance"

"Chill mom.... It's just the TV" Zach groaned a with his head on the table.

"I have one crazy family" Michelle and Adrian whispered to the camera.

"I'll get the golf club or a hammer!" Zach announced as he and Adrian raced themselves to the basement.

"And I'll watch the drama unfold... By the way! You need to tell Finn Harper that I hate him and will never talk to him again" I said to the camera as Michelle barked out laughing and I collected the camera from Chloe.

"What?" I zoomed in on her face as it was my turn to start laughing.

"You have a Zit!" I exclaimed as I laughed and Chloe came over.

"Ew... Hell naw! That's one huge Zit" Chloe exaggerated to make her worked up.

"Tell me it's a lie" She said as she looked for the nearby mirror.

"I'm here, with the club"

"And Adrian" Finn announced with Adrian on his back.

"Finn, do I have a Zit?" She asked Finn that looked at her face.

His expression changed" Can I tell you how bad it is? On a scale of our bad?"

They have this twin judging system... Creepy.

"It's 3.6 bad" He said as she gasped and rushed up to her room.

"Weird"

"That was a show" Chloe said to the camera as she collected the golf club from Zach.

" Follow me" She commanded.

We entered the living room to see Mom and Tavi sitting there.

Tavi was tapping her knee frantically"Finn, You dear not buy me a new one"

"Zoom in on mom's expression" Zach whispered as Chloe did and faced the other camera on her.

She took a first attempt to spike Tavi.

I laughed.

She took a second attempt only to give Finn a high five.

"Bruh" The two of them said as they laughed.

"Chloe, Just know you're grounded" Tavi said as the three siblings even the younger one started running round the living room screaming.

Oh my days.

"You made a rule of no grounding on new year's Eve!" Zach said as the stopped running.

"Dammit!" Tavi exclaimed.

"Mom... Adrian! Sheesh" Finn said as he covered Adrian's ears and laughed.

I sat down with mom to watch the drama.

Chloe took her last attempt and made a dent in the screen.

Tavi stood up to chase after her as we all started laughing.

"Mom I'm sorry" Chloe said as she laughed.

"Finn you're getting me a new TV..... No stories" She said as she stomped off.... Guess mothers hate broken TV.

My mom shook her head then followed Tavi.

"Byee" Chloe said to the camera as we all started laughing.

"That was fun to watch" I said as the laughed.

" Sure it was" Finn said and I mimicked him.

"What did I do to this lady!?" He said as he chuckled and came to sit by my side.

"You stole my spotlight!"I complained as I hit him with the pillow.

He hit me back and I gasped.

"Pillow fight!" Adrian yelled as we all started hitting each other with the pillows.

"I'm going to the store, tell Mom I took her card" Michelle came downstairs with sunshades on and a coat.

She hates acnes, or Zits.

"What are you buying?" Zach asked.... No don't ask!! We won't leave here.

"Vitamin E oil, cleansers" She mentioned.

"Never mind, I don't need to know anymore... Bye" Zach said as we laughed.

"Bye" She rolled her eyes as she left.

"I hope she doesn't spend a year at the store" Chloe mumbled.

"Trust me she would" I and Finn said as we laughed.

"I and Adrian are going to slide now!" Zach announced as I laughed... A old man sliding.

" I'm going to edit" Chloe said as we nodded.

"Give me a piggy back ride" I pouted as he eyed me then walked away.

"Stop it! Just a piggy back ride to Michelle's room... I need to shower" I whined as he laughed.

" No wonder, I was thinking Adrian pooped" He said and I raised my eyebrows.

"Great! I stink... Wow! Thank you" I said as I found my way upstairs. I felt myself being lifted.

"What? Drop me" I said as he kept taking me upstairs... I kicked.

I gave up as I huffed.

"You know you smell so good.... Stop being such a baby" He said and I grumbked.

"Okay, I'm sorry.... You smell so good sweetheart" He said with a grin and I smirked.

" Thank you, now leave" I said as he stayed in the room.

"No" He answered.

"Mom is upstairs Geez!" I said and he groaned.

"Bye" I said with a smile as he rolled his eyes then left.

"Baby" I mumbled.

"Okay! So we have the s'mores, we need the beers" Zeke said as we all sat round the fire.

"I got the beers" Tristan announced as he dropped the beers on the mat.

We were at the beach waiting for the last minutes of the year. I cuddled up with Finn as he placed his chin on my head.

"Let's play a game" Jordan said

"Before that, we should say what we're grateful for before the year ends and what we plan to do next year"

Everyone agreed.

"We'll start with Chloe"

"Well, I'm grateful for the fact that I won my dance competition and the fact that I had my best friends with me all the way.... I wouldn't trade it for the world" She said as we clapped.

"Next year, I really don't have plans but I want next year to be full of bliss" She said and we clapped as Camille stood up.

"I'm grateful for the fact I am now a brand ambassador of some brands thanks to my sisters and my best friends! I have been able to know what I want and I have been able to get it" Camille said as we clapped and she flipped her hair.

"Next year, I want a costume party.... We want a costume birthday party"She said as she pointed to Chloe.

She and Chloe are birthday mates.

We laughed as they did their handshake that involved ruffling each other's hair.

"I am grateful for everything.... I lived a drama free year and had my family and best friends all the way" Noah said as we clapped and laughed.

"Next year,I want to have a horse" Noah said as he snorted and we laughed so hard.

"Next person please"

"I am grateful for the fact I made new friends this year... From Calvin to Lucas and to Charlotte.... Everyone has been so great and I love you all"Naomi said as we awed and clapped.

"Next year, I really hope my sister could change...  And I miss her so much" Naomi said as he voice cracked and Camille and Chloe stood up to hug her.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to work with this crackhead! And I am grateful I got to make supportive friends" Lucas said as he pointed to Camille as she giggled and we laughed.

"Next year, I was meant to move next year... Again" He said and our eyes immediately shot to Camille that just kept looking at her hand.

"But I'm not leaving" Lucas said and every one of us sighed as he laughed.

"I am grateful for meeting you guys... And I met someone that shared alot of things with me... Interests and all! And I'm also grateful My sister is occupied! Who would have thought?" Calvin said as we laughed at he and Charlotte.

"Next year, I am working towards being like Izzy...  Quarterback and the great hair" He said as he shook Izzy's hand and we laughed.

"I am grateful for have great friends.... I wouldn't trade you guys for anything else in the world! You've all being my backbone and thanks to my girls I've been able to survive even the tough times. I am also grateful for my new life that I've learned to love along with my forever partner" Kylie said as we smiled as Jordan pecked her hand.

"Next year, I'm going to be a mother and I have a big project I'm working on" She said as I, Michelle and Charlotte hugged her.

"I am grateful for the fact that I and my twin are back to how we were before thanks to you" She said as she pointed at me and I smiled.

"I am grateful for everything! My friends and family.... And I got myself a part time job" She said as he strikes a pose and Finn chuckled as we laughed.

I raised my head to look at him and he looked at me.

"What?"

"I changed you uh?"I said with a smirk as he mimicked me and I laughed.

"Ivy! Your turn" Amelia called my name as I stood up.

I am grateful for a lot of things.... Finn part of them.

"I am grateful for family and friends! My backbones and sidebones... I am also grateful I got myself a keeper" I said as I giggled and they laughed.

"Next year", I said "Next year will be next year but better right?" I said as they laughed and agreed.

I sat back down and held Finn's hand.

"A keeper uh?" He said with a smirk and I smacked him.

Everything went round with me thinking of the last few hours of this year.

"Our game!" Annalise announced.

"It's almost 12.... We still have to order the pizza" I reminded them.

We order pizza every year... By 11:50... So when the pizza guy gets here by 12:00 we'll record his reaction when we tell him.

'We ordered since last year! And we don't need it anymore'

Chase explained to those who didn't understand.

So! We were playing truth or dare. How predictable. Yay!

Camille spun the bottle and I silently hoped it didn't land on me.

Thankfully! It landed on Finn... Jesus.

Camille looked at me and I glared at her.

"I dare you to" She stopped as she looked round.

"Kiss ivy for 30 seconds" She said and I glared at her.

I and Finn! We've not kissed in public... Well,not in front of them. I groaned as I giggled again.

He held my waist as I put my hands on his neck.

He kissed me and I closed my eyes savoring the moment.

To be honest, kissing Finn felt new e every day...  And 30 seconds is a very long time. I was enjoying it though.

I was getting out of breath Jesus. These idiots were cheering.

"Stop" Camille said as we pulled apart and breathed out as I giggled and he hugged me. Both of our lips swollen.

"Since that was our last round.... We should check the time"

It was 11:50 on dot. Thank God.

We used different phones each year... This year we were calling another pizzeria with Calvin's phone.

"He'll be here in 10 minutes guys" Calvin announced and we cheered.

We all walked over to other people who were waiting for the countdown. I held Finn as Michelle and Kylie came to pull me to do our countdown tradition.

We did a musical handshake which we danced to.... It was our thing.

We were about to do it when we stopped to see Charlotte smiling at us waiting for what we were about to do.

"Come here! You're now part of us.... Sisters forever and always" Michelle said as she giggled and we taught her. Thank God she's a dancer.

We were laughing now as we breathed out.

2 minutes down. Time does run fast.

I walked over to everyone to hug them.

I walked back to Finn that was staring at the water.

"Hey"

"Hi" He said and I laughed.

"What are you thinking about?"

"Of how these past months have been.... It would have probably been hell without you... Thank God you decided to be a little tornado and swallowed me whole, You made me make my mom and sisters happy... You've always believed in me and all my shit even when you found out about Anthony... I want to make another promise" He said and I smiled.

"I want to promise you I'd love you forever and always sweetheart" He said and I giggled.

I was at the verge of tears as I hugged him like I was never going to see him again.

"5.....4......3......2.....1!!" Everyone yelled as Finn kissed me. It felt perfect, like a dream come true for me.

With the fireworks and just us in our own little world.

"I love you sweetheart"

"And I love you Bozo".

We may not be the perfect couple! But we are,in our own world

We at least learnt to stop the conflict we had with our hearts....Our body system! Hormones!

We both know there will be bad or worse moments but the main part is the fact we've learned to stop the CLASH OF HEARTS.

I know being with Finn comes with different ups and downs but who can't play a little GAME OF HEARTS.

And it's a wrap! I'm feeling really emotional right now... It's been such an interesting journey with deleted drafts and not so perfect published chapter.
