Chapter Two
"Alright people, get in a pair of two and each team take a soccer ball. We're playing one-on-one." Mr. Jones , our p.e teacher says while taking out all the soccer balls.
I look around noticing everyone getting in pairs with their friends and sigh since I have no friends in this class, except Noah but I already see many people around him asking him to be their partner. I look away towards the balls and take one, starting to juggle with it. I love soccer, I'm pretty good at it honestly but it's the only sport I can play though. As I keep juggling with the ball I hear Noah declining everyone and apologizing, saying he already has a partner. As I look up to see who the partner is I see him walking towards me and everyone else watches him do so too.
"Adrianna, Do you want to-" he starts saying.
"Build a snowman?" I cut him off, playfully winking and smiling.
"I was going to say be my partner but sure!" He chuckles, smiling back at me. "So do you?"
"Being Noah Smith's soccer buddy? How could I ever say no to that?" I gasp dramatically and watch him roll his eyes at me and laughing.
"Alright, alright. I know I'm amazing and awesome and hot and" he pauses to look at me, a smirk forming on his lips. "What else were you saying at lunch?" He asks, innocently.
"Okay that's it, you're going to have to go find a new partner." I grunt and cross my arms over my chest, looking away trying to hide my blush.
"Awe come on, Adri. You know I was just messing with you, no need to break my heart like that." He feigns hurt, putting his hand on his chest where his heart is.
"Shut up, dork. Let's play." I say, shaking my head and pushing him on the shoulder making him stumble.
"I'll go soft on you because you're a girl." He says, winking and backing away to get in a defensive position.
"So stereotypical. Don't go soft on me, I like a challenge." I say, smirking and feeling bad for him thinking I'd need him to go soft me. I start playing and getting goals in. Fifteen minutes before the class ends, the teacher tells us we can stop and go change.
"Damn girl, you're good but let's be honest I let you win." Noah comes to me, panting and wiping the sweat on his forehead with his shirt.
"Sure, you did. That's why you kept cursing everytime I got the ball in." I say. "You're all sweaty and out of breath, poor you." I say, wrinkling my nose in disgust seeing him sweat so much. Maybe I shouldn't have done that because when I look up to Noah, he's smirking and opening his arms wide open walking towards me. I look at him in confusing and watch him get closer, until I understand his actions.
"Ew, no way! Stay away from me, Noah." I say, stepping back with wide eyes.
"Hey, I just want a hug." He says as he keeps walking towards me, the smirk still on his face.
"I don't want your sweaty and smelly hug, loser." I say sticking my tongue out at him like a little kid.
"You've hurt my heart twice now, today. You're buying me lunch tomorrow to make up for my broken heart." He says, winking and dropping his arms to his side. "See you later, Garcia." He tells me, waving his hand and jogging towards the boys' locker room. I wave back and shake my head, smiling and walking back towards the girls' locker room.
I quickly take a shower and get dressed in one of the stalls in the locker room and come out wearing the outfit from this morning, shorts and Crop top. I walk to my locker, opening it to take my backpack and put in my gym clothes.
"Yeah! The new teacher is young and hot, oh my God. I had him in first period." I hear a girl say to another girl walking out of locker room.
Right, the new teacher. I have French with him now, Mr. White is it? So he's young, uh?- ok, I need to stop. I'll be late for class with Mr. White or whatever. I look around me and notice I'm the only one left. I swing my backpack over my shoulder and closer the locker, walking towards the exit and walking out into the crowded hallways of my school. I push my way to my locker and open it leaving my gym clothes inside it and taking out my French books.
"Ready to go meet Mr. Fitz?" Dana shouts in my ear making me jump while closing my locker.
"Damn it, Dana! You need to stop doing that, you can't just come out of nowhere and shout in someone's ear!" I say, placing my hand on my chest. "And what do you mean, Mr. Fitz?" I ask her, while we start walking towards our French class.
"Yes! You know, they say he's young and hot like Ezra Fitz in PLL!" She squeals, walking next to me.
"Calm down,D." I say, softly chuckling. "First of all, you have a boyfriend. Second, he's still our teacher and you're his student. Needless to say, that's a no-no zone."
"I know and I love Zach," she nods, and pouts. "but come on, don't tell me you're not excited about having a new young and hot teacher!"
"I'm sure he's not even that hot." I laugh, shaking my head and entering the classroom. As we walk in, there's not sign of the teacher at the front but the class is pretty full now and surprisingly the whole first rows of seats are taken by mainly girls and a few guys. I bet they heard the rumor of the teacher being hot. Dana and I look at each other shaking our heads at the girls and laughing. We walk towards the last row and I take the seat in the right corner next to the window while Dana sits on the seat at my left. People keep talking and the main conversation is the girls talking about the teacher.
A few minutes later after the bell rings, a man around he early twenties walks in with a cup of coffee from Starbucks and a bunch of papers in the other hand. As soon as he walks in, everyone stops stalking and watch him walk towards the front desk. The girls start smiling widely and giggling, whispering about how cute he is. The boys just shake their heads and look down to their desk.
Me, on the other hand, watch everyone else's reactions finding it funny. I look up at the front to see that the man in the front hasn't looked up yet, still placing his things on the desk. Meanwhile, I turn around to talk to Dana about the girls' reactions just to see her have the same reaction and I sigh, turning around towards the window suddenly finding the rain outside pretty interesting.
"Hello everyone, I'm sorry for being late." The man says, with an amazing voice I might add. "Some other teachers still think I'm a student here so I had to explain why I was in the teacher's lounge." He says, finally looking up and looking at each one of us with his beautiful blue eyes.
I have to admit, the rumours were true he is extremely hot. Hell, he could be a model traveling in first class and all that with that face and jaw and blue eyes that seem so damn familiar. They look like Christian-
"I'm Mr. Adams, Christian Adams. Your new French teacher." The man says, looking back down to take the attendance sheet.
Wait?! Fuck, Did he just say Christian Adams?? My eyes start widening at the realization and I notice everyone is looking at me with raised eyebrows, including the handsome man in front of the class. Shit, I said that out loud didn't I?
"Yes. Yes, I did. Miss..." Mr. Adams says, looking at me with a raised eyebrow and waiting for my name. He doesn't even recognize me, I can't tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing. But well I didn't recognize him either so I guess we even. Still, how could that idiot Zach get Adams and Grey confused? Ugh.
"Garcia, her name is Adrianna Garcia." Dana answers for me, seeing as I don't reply and simply stare at him. He seems surprised at first which tells me he remembers me but quickly covers it with a blank expression.
"Miss Garcia, is there a problem? Why did you have to curse?" He asks, leaning on his desk and crossing his arms making his muscle appear through his suit, cue all the girls giggling and batting their eyelashes at him.
"I-uh no Mr. Adams. I just like your name?" I say more as a question, I hear some people snicker at my response.
"Enough." He says firmly, making everyone stop. "Miss Garcia, come see me after class and I hope you guys don't think that because I'm young you can all treat me like another student. I expect you all to treat me with respect like you would treat any other teacher." He says, finally taking his eyes of me and looking around to everyone.
"Mr. Adams, how young are you?" A girl asks, smiling and batting her eyelashes at him.
"I'm 23, and please raise your hand if you want to speak." He frowns and sighs. "I'd like to remind you all that I'm still your teacher, therefore you should not flirt or anything like that with me because that would be completely inappropriate and I will not hesitate to give you a detention." He says in a robotic way as if he'd repeated that a bunch of times.
Girls don't seem to listen to him very much since they keep on smiling in a flirt way and he seems to not care, standing straight and walking to the white board. "Take out your textbook and work on pages 24 to 27." He says, writing the pages on the board. "Si vous avez des questions, venez me voir." He says, which means 'If you have any question, come and see me.'
Everyone starts taking out their books and working. I just stare at the man in front of the class who sitting down at his desk and looks up meeting my gaze. For a moment, I see a smirk almost forming on his lip which quickly disappear as he looks at a bunch of girls next to him to ask him questions.
It's him, it's Christian Adams. My French teacher is Christian Adams, the guy I first had a crush on but... Is it really him? He's changed, physically and his demeanor has changed as well. He's so much more handsome and way too serious. I guess that's what happens when you grow up.
