Two. Emerson had been cheating on Lilith with two other women. One was not enough for him.
Lilith had been laughing hysterically on her bed for about half an hour now. She stopped in fear that Bethany would knock on the door at any time.
Well, now she had three people to kill. But this girl was far too familiar to Lilith. She had met Margret on many occasions at house parties. The first time was at a homecoming party, where Emerson got blackout drunk by the end of the night.
"What am I going to do with you." Lilith tried holding onto Emerson as he tumbled over chairs and tables.
"Here, sit. I'm gonna go get you some water," she said as she let him go onto a couch.
Lilith enjoyed partying just as much as the next 20 year old. It was especially fun when it was held in a mansion. Kids were often seen doing drugs in the corner or drinking to their heart's content. Lilith wanted no such thing. She liked interacting with others, making sure she got as many people on her good side as possible. When Lilith came back with a cup of water in her hand, she found a girl talking in a flirtatious manner to Emerson. Lilith came up to them and handed Emerson the cup of water.
"Oh hey, I didn't think he was here with anyone. My name's Margret," she extended a hand to Lilith.
Lilith ultimately shook it and replied, "I'm Lilith. And this is my boyfriend, Emerson."
"Yeah, I know, we have the same English class together." Margret smiled.
It seemed as though to Lilith that Margret had some sort of affection towards Emerson. But at the time she didn't think anything of it. Lilith would only ever see Margret at parties and always found her at Emerson's side. She often wanted to yank her hair and pull out her teeth, but she restrained herself from doing so. After all, it was Lilith Emerson who had chosen to be his girlfriend.
Lilith had to make something happen. She decided to go through with what Tucker had told her the other day and watched Gwen at practice. She wanted to make sure it was really the girl who Emerson had kissed first. She tried to make herself small and unnoticeable sitting at the bleachers. Sure enough, there she was warming up.
Lilith had realized that Gwen was a Hurdler. This meant that she had built up endurance. It was going to be difficult to kill her quietly. Once practice was over, the girls and the boys went into their own respective locker rooms. It was here that Lilith saw that Gwen had the job of taking in the hurdles into the storage room. Lucky me, Lilith thought to herself.
Over the past few days, Lilith had purchased a switchblade on the dark web. She needed something small, but also something that would get the job done. Her knife of choice was the Bear OPS AC-350-ALBK-S Action III Stiletto (a terribly long name). It was sharp and deadly, and that's all that mattered.
Lilith decided to follow Gwen to the storage room when she had taken in the last hurdle. The room was far enough from the lockers so that no one would hear her scream in case she did. Lilith quickly ran up to Gwen once she was completely inside the room and closed the door behind her.
"Hi," Lilith said aloud making Gwen jump.
"Oh shit, you scared me. I didn't expect anyone to be behind me," she said annoyed.
It seemed as though Gwen didn't recognize Lilith. Homewrecker, Lilith wanted to say right in her face. She held back.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you, I was just looking to join the team next year. It looks like a lot of fun."
"Oh really?" Gwen said sarcastically. She was judging Lilith's athletic ability, she didn't think she would be any good at anything. "What year are you?"
What a bitch, Lilith thought to herself.
"I'm a first-year," she lied and watched as Gwen was putting everything back where it belonged. Lilith checked around the room while they were talking for cameras. There was one on the far right corner. She would have to find a blind spot.
"Do you think you could show me all the equipment that's used? Just so I can get an idea of what event I should do."
Gwen rolled her eyes and sighed. "Sure, come over here."
She took her to the left side of the storage room, behind a large metal shelf that held hammers, javelins, steel balls, and discs. Gwen began to ramble on about the throwing events, in which Lilith paid no mind to. She made sure that this was where the camera wouldn't be able to see them. Luckily for Lilith, the camera was on the other side of the shelf, blocking them perfectly.
Lilith pointed to the very top shelf and said, "What are those?"
"They're javelins. It's one of the many throwing events."
"Do you think you could bring one down just so I can see how heavy it is?"
Lilith wanted to make an opening for herself, it'd be easier to jump her when her guard was let down. She knew if she took Gwen head on she wouldn't win. Again Gwen sighed and reached up for one of the javelins. Lilith took a step back and when the time was right, took out her switchblade and held it in front of her. She immediately jumped onto Gwen and without hesitating, in one quick motion, slit her throat. Blood began to run down from her neck in a heavy stream as Lilith let Gwen fall onto the floor.
It seemed as though she was still alive. Gwen began to slowly crawl away from Lilith, attempting to scream but could no longer make noise. Lilith watched as Gwen struggled, a trail of blood came from behind her. Before Gwen could make it to the other side of the shelf where the camera was, Lilith sat on her. She heard her whimper as she pressed down onto her.
Lilith whispered to herself, "I thought you'd be dead by now."
Gwen attempted to wriggle out from under Lilith but was unsuccessful. She was becoming weak. Finally, Lilith decided to put Gwen out of her misery and began stabbing her in the back. Drops of blood showered onto Lilith's face as she would take the knife in and out of her flesh.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. "Gwen? Are you almost done in there? The showers close in ten minutes."
Lilith had taken too long. She got off of Gwen and looked around. On the wall left to her was a window. She quickly ran for it, placing the knife back in her pocket. Making sure that the camera wouldn't see her, she hid with a tarp that had been placed on top of a stack of boards. She used this tarp to cover herself and her hands, so as not to leave her fingerprints behind and opened the window. Lilith jumped out the window, making sure no one was around, and ran away.
