The Oval Office

Jack sat doing business, unaware of his wife's condition. Mrs Lincoln knocked before entering and she gave the President a worried look.

"Mr President. We just received a call from the residence". That was all Jack needed to understand.

"What hospital is Jackie going too?" Jack asked. Mrs Lincoln told him it was 'GW' and Jack slowly got out of his chair.

"Get a car ready for me. I'm going there now" Jack demanded and Mrs Lincoln headed out. "Oh!" He called.

"Call Bobby and Ted afterwards and let them know. And tell Cardinal Cushing, I want him to be there in case the worst should come" Jack exclaimed.

As he waited for the car, he thought about what he said. The worst. He knew what 'the worst' was. He had experienced it with Patrick. He was terrified in case it happened again.

Before long, the car was ready. As Jack headed out, all sorts of thoughts ran through his head. But he knew he had to think positive.
