May 5th 

Prestwick Airport

Air Force One skid along the runway of Prestwick Airport after the 40 minute flight from Edinburgh. Despite airport security, crowds had burst through the barricades to greet the First Couple. They disembarked the aircraft, Jackie in the red suit she had worn to Canada. She glowed in the sun. 

"Let's go meet the crowds" Jack insisted to his wife. Jackie nodded, clutching her blending red roses. Together the First Couple shook the hands of the people before Jackie shook hands with a man who was dressed in a black suit with a tartan tie. "I see you've dressed up smart today" Jackie smiled to the man. 

"Yes ma'am" The man replied. Jackie beamed as she asked his name. "Colin Munro, Mrs Kennedy" Mr Munro smiled, as a boy next to him held out his hand. "This is my son Sean. He was insistant on meeting you and your husband" Mr Munro smiled, holding up his son to shake Jackie's hand. As she shook the young boy's hand, she saw a flash. It was obviously an acquaintance of Mr Munro taking a photo for him. There would probably be one for Jack too. 

She smiled. "It was a pleasure to meet you both. My husband is just further down, you'll be able to meet him soon" Jackie laughed as she then moved down the ropeline. 

After greeting the crowds, the Kennedys set off in their car through the town of Prestwick en-route to Culzean Castle, a bit further down the coast. 

Culzean Castle

After a grand arrival and tour of the castle and estate, Jack and Jackie arrived in their private quarters in the heart of the Culzean estate. 

"These apartments were occupied once by President Eisenhower. We've prepared them specially for you" The butler explained as he left the First Couple to settle in. 

As they locked the door to the apartment, letting Kenny and Pierre settle in to their rooms, Jack and Jackie sat in their bedroom. 

"I'm exhausted" Jackie sighed, collapsing into the deep pillows. Jack smiled, resting his hand on hers. "Me too. But today was wonderful. Culzean is beautiful" Jack said, slowly lowering himself down to lay next to Jackie. 

Jackie assisted her husband. His back was playing up. Jackie helped him take off his brace so he could lie down. "But yeah" Jackie assumed what she was going to say. "Culzean is beautiful. I hope to get some decorating tips from here" she smiled before Jack laughed. "Hopefully you aren't planning another restoration" Jack added. 

Jackie laughed before she lay down with her husband. They fell asleep in each other's arms.
