a few weeks before
Katy sits on her computer, scrolling through Instagram. She sees posts about Taylor's birthday, then rolls her eyes. "I don't understand what's so special about her." She's been distressed about her tour tickets not selling as well as expected, and is desperate.
   Suddenly, Katy is struck with a thought. Maybe if she made a device to see into Taylor's mind, she could take her lyrics before she could even release them. Katy thought that there was no doubt Taylor was a much better songwriter than her, the lyrics captured emotions perfectly. There is a Taylor song for every situation.
  Katy calls up a close friend. "Hey, would you mind helping me with something?" The friend agrees without a doubt.

After a few days of planning, Katy slips the chip into a batch of Girl Scout cookies that her friend's daughter is selling to Taylor. She won't even notice. And after a few minutes, the chip will disintegrate, but still leaving enough of the chip in Taylor's bloodstream that Katy could read her thoughts. Perfect.
