chapter six
"Don't you worry
your pretty little mind,
people throw rocks at things that shine"
Katy wipes away her tears and takes a deep breath. "Kim?"
"Yeah?"
"I think I feel a bit better."
Kim smiles at Katy.
"Well, that's good. Why do you think that is?"
"I had a voice in my head, it calmed me. It told me that people throw rocks at things that shine, and it made me feel better about my haters online."
"Well, that's weird but I'm glad you're better."
"Me too."
A few weeks later
Taylor feels a combination of emotions she's never felt before. It's a mix of hatred and love, but she can't figure out why she feels this way.
She goes to the doctor.
"This is unexplainable. I'm sorry."
Taylor goes home disappointed. She had a thought about one of her friends, except they're not her friend. They're her worst enemy. And she realized, someone else's thoughts are in my head. Me and....
KATY!
Katy's thoughts are in my head. We have a connection...
Was it Katy that put the chip inside me?
Is that what made me feel sick, and is this what is making me have these thoughts?
Maybe...
I need to talk to her.
