🏍 General MC Terms 🏍

// MC: Motorcycle club.

// Cut: A vest/cut-off denim jacket that represents membership in a particular club.

// President: Leader of the organization.

// Vice President: They assume the duties of the president when the president is unavailable.

// SGT at Arms: They maintain the rule of law within the club at all times, handle security issues, and manage the weaponry.

// Enforcer: They protect club members. In addition, they safeguard the club's reputation and defend its name in any type of conflict. They make certain the club rules are followed by all members and they assist in combat of any sort.

// Prospect: A person who has expressed an interest in joining the club. During the initiation process, the members typically order prospects to do certain tasks to prove their allegiance. Prospects have no voting rights and can not attend club meetings.

// Member: They've earned their patch after graduating from a Prospect. They can wear the club's colors and are required to attend club meetings and vote on club decisions.

// Clubhouse: A place/compound that the club occupies for their club activities and also for their own entertainment. For some MCs, the president and members will live and work out of their clubhouse.

// Patch: Patches are worn by members on their cuts to identify membership of their club and territorial location.

// Church: An official club meeting.

// Ol' Lady (female) or Property: When a member "claims" their romantic partner, making them their Ol' lady or Property, it's akin to declaring to the entire club and outsiders that the person is officially taken. It also implies that person is under their protection as well as the clubs. It also serves as a warning to others that the person should be treated with respect and not hit on by other members. Property/Ol' Ladies are NOT considered club members, so they do not attend club meetings and are not told club secrets.
