Chapter 3
I heard the door open. I sat up and saw Adrian. I looked away from him. How can I look at him?! He's been a dick to me ever since we met and that was hours ago. But deep down I wanted to love him. I want to be his mate. I want to be marked by him but...he's known as the heartless alpha and he treated me badly.

" Kate...I just wanted you to know that I'm sorry about my ex. But why did you take the attack for me?? I mean I called you a bitch " Adrian said. By this point I could tell he was crying. " Adrian, you're my mate. I would do anything to protect you " I said. Adrian wouldn't look up at me. I got up from what I think was a hospital bed and I walked over to Adrian. I did the unexpected. I placed my lips on his lips. It took a second for Adrian to realize what I am doing then he kissed me back. I broke the kiss. The shock looked on Adrian's face was priceless. I laughed. " What? You didn't expect me to make the first move?? " I asked " N-no I didn't " Adrian said. I laughed again. " Kate...will...um...you sleep in my room tonight?? " Adrian asked " Umm...ask your brother first because according to him, in sleeping in his room until you get your shit together and become a better mate " I said. Adrian growled slightly.

Kelly told me that I could leave since I'm already healed. Adrian intertwined my hand with his. We walked to his office.

" Father what are you doing here? " Adrian asked. Oh crap! The parents! " Ah Adrian. I was just waiting for you " Adrian's father said " Father this is Kate, my mate " Adrian said " Hello...uh...sir " I said
" Please call me Mason " Mason said.

I was sitting quietly on a chair when all of a sudden, Mason and Adrian started arguing. I don't what about since I zoned out. " Kate isn't... " Adrian said before I ran out the room. I knew what he was going to say...Adrian was going to reject me.

I shifted into my wolf and ran into the forest. I will continue running until I can't feel my legs.

Adrian's POV
" Kate isn't... " was all I said when I heard Kate run out the office. " Kate isn't what? " my dad asked " Kate isn't like those other she-wolves I've been with. Kate is...different...I might actually start falling for her. She saved me from Veronica during the Luna Ceremony " I said. Then it hit me! Kate thought I was going to plan on rejecting her! " Damnit!! " I said.

'ADAM! BRYSON! KATE RAN TOWARDS THE FOREST! GO LOOK FOR HER!!'

'Alright!'
'On my way to the forest'

I shifted into my wolf form and ran to the forest. I was joined with my brothers. "ADRIAN!!! " I heard someone scream...

Kate's POV
I had stopped running and rested against a tree. I heard twigs snap. I looked around and saw rouges. I didn't have enough time before they attacked me. I fought back but it was me against 10 rouges so I was outnumbered and outmatched.
One of the rouges bit my leg. I screamed in pain. Soon the scent of black cherries hit my nose. Adrian was in the forest.

" ADRIAN!!! " I yelled

It didn't take long before the rouges were running away when Adrian, Adam, and Bryson came. Each of the shifted behind trees and came back with clothes on. Thank god because I didn't want to see them naked. Adrian was only wearing his shorts. He walked towards me and hand me his shirt. I shifted behind a tree and put his shirt on, that's when I saw blood dripping down my leg from the bite. Slowly I was healing.

We didn't talk the whole way back. Once we reached the pack house, I went to change into my clothes. Unlucky for me, my stuff is in Adrian's room. Hopefully he doesn't come to his room.

I was about to walk out the room when Adrian came in. " Hey " Adrian said " I was going to leave just now " I said. My hand touch the doorknob. " Kate, I um... " Adrian said. I turned around. " I know. Please...let me go first " I said " Sure? " Adrian said. I took a deep breath. " I, Kate Henderson, reje... " I only managed to say before Adrian crushed his lip onto my lips. Adrian broke the kiss. " I wasn't going to reject you Kate " Adrian said. Adrian motioned me to sit on the bed.

" I love you Kate... "
