Chapter Nine
Athelaide's Point of View
For the past week, this little kitten has been sharpening her claws, just in case it really is my family that have decided to come visit.
Seeing I know what they are capable of, a little training will do me some good.
Anyways, my little Xavier is finding it even harder trying to resist me.
Guess, he is a fighter, or maybe it is because I haven't fully recovered just yet, but everything takes time.
Rose has stopped coming over, because Xavier refused to give me back to the pet store.
As for Damon, he has been visiting every now and then, since he and Xavier are best friends.
Right now I am in a great mood, just relaxing outside near the pool drinking a blood smoothie, which the short black haired girl, was kind enough to offer to me.
I mean, she did go and tell Rose about me visiting Xavier when he was sick, and now that I am gaining my strength back, I do need a little blood here and there.
And I don't think Xavier will miss her to much, besides he can just replace her easily if he wants to.
Maybe that's the reason why there are less humans.
"Xavier! Xavier!" I recognized as Damon's voice yelling, followed by quick footsteps, as he came out of the house.
"Where is Xavier?" He asked, as he spotted me near the pool.
I remember Xavier saying something about meeting up with a friend, so that's exactly what I told him.
"His meeting up with a friend and before you ask where, I do not know. "
He looked around and then at me before saying, "I thought you were just a pet. "
"I am," I replied, as I took another sip of my smoothie, and licking the remaining off my lip.
"Guess Xavier is taking it easy on you, seeing as you're living the dream life here," he said, observing me.
I only nodded.
He was about to say something else, but suddenly sniffed the air.
"Is that blood?" He asked, while quickly snatching up my smoothie.
He took a sip and then looked at me.
"I thought it would take you less time to figure that out, seeing as blood is a vampire's favourite meal," I smirked.
"I always knew something was different about you." He eyed me up and down.
Seeing how I was nearly completely drained, it wasn't hard to mistake me for human.
"So you're one of the smart ones, eh." I got up and grabbed my smoothie back, before taking a long sip.
"So what are you then?" he asked, sitting down on the chair I was on.
"So what was it you wanted to tell Xavier so much?" I ignored his question. "Is it about the unknown family that is here?" I asked, sitting on top of him.
"How do you know about that?" He asked, staring in my eyes.
"Xavier told me."
He continued staring in my eyes while saying, "hmm. "
"Seems like you might just be more than his little pet," he said, leaning closer to me.
"Maybe I am more than just a pet," I smirked, leaning closer to him as well.
He was about to kiss me when I pulled back and got off of him.
"Such a tease," he chuckled, shaking his head making his curls bounce.
"Mmm," I licked my lips, while looking at his emerald green eyes.
There was something about him that I could see through his eyes.
Guess I will just have to figure him out to see what it is he's hiding.
