Civil War Pt.4

Steve and Natasha managed to make it out of the supply closet.. somewhat intact. Their clothing was a little ruffled, but nothing too conspicuous to draw eyes.

"So. Are you really going thru and signing the accords?" Steve asked as Natasha and him walked back to the room where most of the Avengers were.

"Well it makes sense, doesn't it? We do more harm than we do good, Steve." Natasha responded a little irritated. Natasha knew having this conversation would be pointless with him. She knew she was right and he was wrong, but to him it was the opposite.

"That's debatable, Natasha. We can't have other innocent soldiers fighting the fights that we should be fighting. This is what the Avengers were created for." Steve said opening the door to the conference room.

Natasha was beginning to reply when Tony interrupted her. "Back from the nooner?" He asked with a smug look on his face, "Were you able to convince Steve to sign the accords?" Tony winked at Natasha, and she couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"What Steve and I were doing is none of your business, Tony. We were simply debriefing all the advantages and disadvantages to the accord." She said sternly trying to hide back her smile.

"Yeah well the supply closet you two destroyed says differently" Tony replied with a big grin on his face. Tony was trying to irritate Natasha, he always did.

Tony was about to say something else regarding the supply closet when Steve cut him off "Alright so how many signatures are needed for this?" Steve asked irritated

"Five" replied the Secretary of State.

"And how many have signed?" Steve asked

"Four. Tony, Wanda, WarMachine, and Natasha" replied the Secretary.

Steve turned to Natasha, "Nat, I didn't think you were going thru with this?" He asked more hurt after everything they had did hours before.

"Steve," she replied slowly, "I don't want to argue with you about this anymore. It's my decision. Not yours."

It felt like Natasha and Steve were the only two people in the room. Everyone's eyes were on them, watching as they retorted arguments back and forth at one another.

"I understand that it's your decision, Natasha. I feel as if your decision is incorrect." Steve replied harshly than he anticipated.

"Oh? So you're saying my judgement is clouded?" She replied hastily.

Steve didn't want to say yes, but he knew deep down it was true. "I'm not saying it's clouded" he began saying before Natasha cut him off.

"You obviously are, Steve!" Natasha replied as she began gathering her stuff.

"Fine. Your judgement is clouded. You don't know what you're doing signing this accord. It'll change everything." Steve said calmly. He knew continuing the conversation would be dangerous for both of them.

"I obviously know what I'm doing if I'm signing the damn thing," she replied narrowing her eyes directly at him, "you know what? I'm done."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Steve replied defensively.

"It means I'm done with you." Natasha replied.

She turned around and exited, slamming the door behind her. With that, the Civil War had officially begun.
