Now, I know that no one actually reads this book but it's the reason I got wattpad so I'm still updating it.

It had only been a few hours since I got here. In the cave that is. In that time I'd met people who I don't remember and learned about a secret life that Neither I nor my mother remember. Does this sound creepy? Yes. But I was having fun. These people were really nice and seemed genuinely loved that they got to meet me. It was  still kinda creepy but i choose to bury that feeling deep down and hope it will go away soon.

Onyx had just been telling some stories of when I was a kid, apparently I had once decided I wanted wings and they had made me a metal pair. Jackie and nightmare had also chimed in with stories of their own, talking about how when all of the kids would play together we would always get into trouble. Nightmare in particular was talking about the games we used to play.

"Hey remember when jinx tried to play hide and seek with them but ended up getting stuck in a tree?"

"Pft no? Why have you never mentioned this story?" Onyx chuckled before turning to me," ha ya your mom  was pretty funny."

"Is jinx a nickname for her?" I believed that was the case.

"Well it's more of a code name. We get to pick them ourselves when we're young."

"Speaking of your mother she's probably worried sick that you're not home yet." Jackie remarked.

"I better call her."

I rummaged through my backpack in search of my phone, only to find it dead. Just my luck.

"Um, Onyx?"

"What's up?"

"I kinda need to call my mom and my phone is dead. Do you have a house phone or something?"

"We aren't in a house incase you haven't noticed but we do have a phone. It's over near the kitchen." Onyx replied pointing to one if the doors to my right.

"Thank you." I called as I ran into the kitchen."wait what should I tell her?"

"Tell her onyx and night are here. She'll remember us. She may have lost a lot of them, but she'll remember us."

The kitchen itself was pretty small. The shelves were full or strange looking bottles and there were cups and dishes piled everywhere. They were clean dishes but the kitchen was still so cluttered.

I quickly dialed my home phone number and waited for someone to pick up.

"Hello? Who is this?"

I instantly recognized the voice as my mother's, relieved that she had answered.

"Hi mom. It's Maria."

"Darling where are you? The Suns nearly setting."

"Well it's a bit of a long story but there was a girl and she said she knew you well she didn't really say that but she said she knew about you."

There was a long pause before she asked, "did you follow strangers home again?"

"...well... I was heading back to my locker since I forgot my phone and then the kids I saw earlier today came up to me and we went to a cave and there's people here who know you!"

"Maria why would you follow someone into a cave? They could be lying about knowing me."

"Uh- mom  just- just one second."I said sprinting back into the main room.

"Onyx can you talk to her?"

"Of course."
