This page is used to keep track of your character's finances. If you don't want to use a bank account, then that's totally fine. I understand that it might be too complex for people who are just looking to participate in a casual chain every so often. However, I think the system has the potential to be fun, and it puts a sense of realism in the roleplay, as it prevents characters from having an endless flow of cash. 

Before I explain the system though, I want full credit to go to @_midnightvibes , who first suggested the system and developed it. They're awesome! They will serve as the banker to keep track of account balances. So, without further ado, here's a guide to how the banking system works:

To Open an Account:

Create a chain in the comment section below. The initial comment should read "character name account." Make sure you include the first and last name of your character. For example, if your character is named Mickey Mouse, you would put "Mickey Mouse's Account" instead of just "Mickey's Account."

How Much is My Initial Balance?:

We're using a system where the amount of money you have is proportional to your age. All characters will start out with $100, and they will gain $50 for every year they have been alive above eighteen. For example, here is what the initial account balances might look like based on age:

Sixteen-Year-Old: $100

Thirty-Year-Old: $700

Fifty-Year-Old: $1,700

Seventy-Five-Year-Old: $2,950

And remember, your character will be able to deposit money in their account as they get a job and make more money.

To Withdraw/Deposit Money

Go to your character's chain, and reply to it with the words "withdraw $x" or "deposit $x"

Don't deposit money unless you have a reason for doing so. For example, if your character babysits and makes $20, then you deposit $20. But, if you just randomly deposit money and your character has no job, then it kind of defeats the whole purpose.
