For the love of god, make sure you don't die. BUT USE A MELEE WEAPON. A foot or a blade or a bat.

4. BE STINGY

Please, conserve everything, most importantly, ammo, food, and water. You run out of those last two, you die. You run out of the first, you might die.

5. MEELE

Have melee weapons. Use melee weapons. The odds of the average civilian getting a headshot? Not very good. The odds of zombies hearing a gunshot and swarming you? Very good.

6. CLEAN FOOD, CLEAN WATER

Make sure to have these two. Because, when it comes down too it, they keep you alive, not weapons, not people. Food and water.

7. CITEIS VS. MOUNTAINS

Cities will be hell, but not as bad as you think. Mountains, coastlines, Islands, forests, will all be hell. They will be much worse than you think.

8. BE BRUTAL, BE MERCIFUL

Be able to shoot someone in between the eyes. Be able to save someone's ass by risking your own.

9. SEE FORTRESS, TAKE FORTRESS

Schools are fortresses. And theirs always a chance they're abandoned. Some hotels, some houses are as well. Take them if you can.

10. CHURCHES

If your plan in the apocalypse is to go pray for salvation, do us all a favor and put a bullet in your head. Saves all the surviving non-idiots trouble.

11. SEATBELTS

For the love of god, think. They're completely necessary. Especially in the apocalypse

12. FRIENDS

Loyalty, trust, and being able to work together. Even if their not the brightest or sharpest, you know them, you can work with them. Take them with you.

13. LOST CAUSES

I don't are if it's a freaking daycare, the only difference you'll make is another corpse to be re-animated.

14. SUICIDE

First, if you are bit, go out taking as many of them with you as you can. You have nothing to loose, but they do. Second, if you're not bit, but you're going to kill yourself, destroy the brain, please. I don't judge you, but make life easier for the rest of us.

15. AVOID HUMANS, DEAD AND ALIVE

Unless you are really, really, desperate, they both can kill you. and large portions of those two will kill you.

16. BE PREPARED TO DO SHIT YOU HAVENT EVEN IMAGINED

It's the apocalypse. Be ready to make barricades out of bodies and shoot friends. It's how life goes.

17. THERE IS NO SAFE, ONLY SAFER

There will never be an impregnable stronghold. Be ready, always. Have escape routs to backup bases that can be collapsed. Have scape routs for those backup bases to backup bases that can be easily collapsed.

18. FOOD

Eat perishables before non-perishables. Cannibalism is as risky as taking on a zombie with your hands.

19. BE SMART. BE CAUTIOS.

Never, ever, ever loot a place without clearing it. Always be ready to run. Always know your way out.

20. HAVE CONTINGENCIES

In the apocalypse, anything hat can go wrong, will go wrong. Have backup plans.

21. UNDER-RATED WEAPONS

Shotgun, shotgun, shotgun. Vaporizes a dead head. Plus, the kick on that thin can by you time against four or five that got the jump on you. Knock 'em back, take 'em down

If you have too, machineguns at the knees, nock the first wave down, then WWZ it. Make a square, or hold a choke point. Two ranks of rifles. First rank uses the machine guns, switches to rifles. Second rank opens up, at close range, headshots only. First ranks takes aim, fires when second reloads. Repeat. Have some relief men, it'll be a long battle.

24. WHEN NEARING HUMANS

No stealth, knock in patterns, announce yourself. Differentiate yourself from a random zed, might save your life.

25. ENJOY WHT YOU CAN

There will be precious little in the apocalypse

26. SHORT TERM, LONG TERM

Short term, think survival, make it through the next week, day, hour, minute. Long term, think about sustainability. Population, food, defenses.

27. BE READY TO DIE

Odds are, you are going to. Find a way to be okay with that. Be ready, if that time comes. Make your peace with the world.
