Eh?

"Delta, get up." I hissed, standing over our leader. We had to move, the demons were almost upon us.
"Capri, it's done." She said, giving me a bloody grin, and moving her arm.
"No." I said in disbelief, dropping into a crouch and trying to convince myself she would live.
"Go, get out." She said weakly.
"I can't..." I trailed off.
"You have to." Delta said.
"Where is..." Rush started, trailing off as she saw Delta. "No." She said, echoing me.
"Go, both of you." Delta said, coughing up blood. "You are the future of the order. You must survive."
"But..."
"Go." Delta said, as loudly as she could muster. "Go!" Rush grabbed me by the shirt, turning, and shoved me in the other direction. I had no choice, Nevi wasn't going to wait until the demons got her and the rest of the order.
"Let's go!" Rush snapped as I looked back one last time. Her golden wings had carried her further than my legs could, but she had circled back. "The Azzult is just over the hill!"
I wanted to snap back, but the hill took my attention away from her. I had spent most of my energy healing Numel from her near death experience, and the rest fighting demons. Climbing up that hill was the embodiment of the nine hells one earth, but finally, the Azzult came into view. It was a simple battle patrol skyship, three decks, a pair of sails, a single massive engine on the back, angular, even the guns fit in without sticking out.
"Here!" Linfeld yelled, as he and Numel leaned over the side, pulling me onboard as the ship took off.
"Where's Delta?" Were Numel's first words. Tue look on my face told him everything he needed to know. He stumbled backward, as if I had hit him. "Delta? Dead?" He asked. I nodded sadly.
"I can't..." Linfeld trailed off. "I'll tell the rest of the order." He said, walking away.
I turned, knowing he would tell the rest, and that later I would be asked for every detail. I just needed a few minutes alone. Of course, I wouldn't get them.
"Cap, you couldn't do anything." Rush said after landing, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"I should've been able to do something." I snapped, spinning.
"You couldn't." She said back, not faltering.
"I-I..."
"You what?" She said, leaning closer. "You already were burnt out. Numel and that battle combined, I'm surprised you're not dead. You were never meant for this. You're a healer."
"That doesn't help." I said. "I should be at home, learning from a book. Except the demons have now burned everything east of the Great Stream to nothing."
"You saved Numel." Rush said. "And you did a damn good job fighting. Be thankful you didn't die, and that no one else did."
"I can't be." I said, quietly, eyes watering for the first time. "I just can't."
"Capri." She said, pulling me into a hug.
"Thank you." I whispered, tears still running down my face.
She simply hugged tighter, as the sun set, darkening the view of Coalharf, and it's blackened ruins.

And that is a partial bit of something I might write.
Please judge. Even if I wrote this at midnight
