Circus Monster
"how am i to live without being judged?"
_
Days past by her eyes in a blink of an eye.
Yet she isn't able to accept this fate. She doesn't really have a no or yes option here anyway.
But she's still patiently waiting for these fate to go past her eyes in a blink of an eye.
Yet, deeply she knows it will never vanish.
She feels useless. Useless that she is not able to shape the future of her dream, but is only able to see it from afar and watch her future self suffer.
She feels worthless. Worthless that she isn't able to help her future self. She pity her, but all she can do is cry in the present.
It isn't really the future that Jeongyeon's worried about. She's more worried about her future self.
Her future self that will hate the present her with a passion.
For she is useless.
She is worthless.
Or,
that's what society wants her to think.
The society that wants to ruin her innocence and purity.
The girl who once was molded so beautifully has been destroyed along with her dignity and sanity.
All by the demons living on Earth. In short, humans.
Not all of course. Alot face the same problem living in a close minded society.
It feels as seem Jeongyeon has become a girl with a deformed heart. Formed by society's norms.
Out of all the people living, only one push it all against and saved her.
That person is what you actually call human. That person who goes through the heat of hell just to protect you.
Human.
They bring you in, ensure you feel comfortable with their presence. With your trust, they become a part of your life.
But everything gets pull apart.
By society.
"homosexuality is a sin!"
"you are a walking sin!"
Those words still can heard in Jeongyeon's mind.
"Does it anger you that I am living my life better than you?" Jeongyeon ask.
Jeongyeon stares at her reflection on the mirror. She stares bluntly. Patheticly staring at her reflection, the same broken her.
If reflections had emotions, Jeongyeon's one would be crying. Maybe that's why reflection's don't move, don't talk or don't shout for help.
Society makes you hide your emotions. They force you to bring them to your grave.
It makes you look like a fool. A fool for believing their sayings. Yet, we still listen to their black lies, like a fool.
It makes you look like you have horns. You look foolish in front of them.
With her head swaying low, eyes staring off at the grey ground, hiding her tears.
They laugh at Jeongyeon with fingers pointing and laughing as seem like it sounds like at a circus.
"get up you circus monster! it's time for your foolish act."
They laugh, shun and ridicule the girl standing in the middle, no where to escape this painful circle of teases. The girl who has a bolder of sorrows and worries carried on her back.
They call her foolish. When she isn't.
She agrees she's a monster.
But she'll never know the white truth of whom turned her into one.
She gets stabbed at the back by words every moment. Even so, she smiles warmly to the pain. Blood gushing through her mouth, she sits weakly on the ground, as if she's staring into her reflection.
As seem her reflection is comforting her. She warmly smiles.
She calls herself a monster.
Society pathetically calls her,
a circus monster.
