"Mom" I screamed when my mom walked through the hospital doors with an officer in tow.

"Andi sweetie are you okay?" She said engulfing me in a big hug.

"No, Vic's hurt mommy. They won't tell me how he is. This is all my fault" I cried.

"It's not your fault" Mike said.

"B-but it is. If I hadn't of said I would go to prom with Vic none of this would of happened." I cried.

"Exactly non of this would have happened, means you wouldn't have met your best friend and you wouldn't be dating. This happened for a reason that was just an unfortunate incident." Mike stated looking at the brighter side of a terrible situation.

"How are you so positive about this? Your brothers lying in a hospital bed with a broken arm and concision." I stated all that we knew.

"Yes but that's not what Vic would want us to be doing. He would us thinking about the positive because the negative will do nothing but bring you down." He said resting a hand on my shoulder. "You need to think about the positive and stop blaming yourself. No one could have prevented this but the drunk person driving" Mike stated comfortingly, bent down to my level.

"Thanks Mike" I said releasing my grip from my mom and hugged him tightly.

"Anytime Andi" he said hugging me just as tight.

"You know it's okay to cry" I told him noticing he's the only one who hasn't.

"I know." He told me with a sly smile.

"He's awake" the doctor said making Mike and I jolt up everyone else went back to my house to rest. My mom tried to get Mike and I to leave but neither of us budged.

"Can we see him?" I asked.

"I would only suggest 1 person at a time for tonight though." The doctor stated then walked off.

"You go first" Mike told me.

"No you go I rode with him. You get to see him first" I told him as I took my phone out of my pocket and saw it was about 4:40 am. I sent my mom a text that Vic was awake and that Mike was with him.

Mom: that's great honey. Let me know if you need anything. I go to work today but I will do what I can. Also stopping by beforehand.

Andi: okay mom. Love you.

Mom: love you too.

"Hey. You can go see him now" Mike said startling me.

"Okay thanks" I told him and hurriedly made my way down the hall to Vic's room.

"Come in" he said as I lightly knocked on the door.

"Hey." I said looking at him.

"Hey beautiful. Come here" her said holding out his left arm as it wasn't in a cast.

"Can I sign it?" I said pointing to the cast on his right arm.

"Of course you can beautiful." He said kissing the top of my head.

"Do you think they have a sharpie?" I asked quizzically.

"Who babe?" He asked confused.

"The hospital do you think they have one? I don't know." He said with a chuckle.

"I'll just ask my mom to bring one." I told him.

"Ask her for a change of clothes too." Vic said.

"Okay." I said grabbing the chair ad say it on the left side of Vic's bed.

Andi: hey mom, can you bring a sharpie, a change of clothes(I want one of Vic's shirts 😳) and Vic and I's phone chargers?

Mom: yes, see if Mike needs anything.

Andi: okay hold on.

"I will be right back I'm going to see if Mike needs anything" I said kissing Vic and walking out of his room.

"Hey Mike you need anything? My moms going to stop by before work" I told him.

"Phone charger and a change of clothes and that's should be it." He said looking at me.

"Okay oh if the doctors happen to tell you anything else let me know yeah?"

"Will do same for you" he told me and I nodded in conformation before walking back to Vic's room.

"I'm back" I said walking in.

"I can see that" he said with a chuckle. I set my phone on the bedside table and took Vic's hand in mine. I sat there playing with his fingers and inspecting his arm and we'll just him in general.

"Hey Vic" I asked him.

"Yes?" He asked. Just before I could answer my mom walked in with my clothes and charger. Along with my laptop and it's charger.

"I didn't ask for my laptop." I told her with a chuckle.

"I know figured y'all could watch Netflix or something." She simply replied.

"How you feeling Vic?" She asked.

"Good in a little bit of pain butts it really" he said.

"Baby why didn't you tell me. I would've gotten a nurse." I said with a frown.

"It's okay Ands. It wasn't too bad. Go change." He said eyeing his shirt.

"Here Andi. I gotta go. I'll let a nurse know Vic you are in pain Vic. My mom said hugging me then handing me the sharpie.

"Thanks bye" I said waving and walked into the bathroom in Vic's room.

"So my shirt?" Vic said raising his eyebrows.

"Y-yeah" I stuttered out nervously hoping he wasn't mad at me.

"Hey come here" he said holding the sharpie up.

"Oh the nurse came and gave me pain killers. She said they may make me drowsy and fall asleep." He said as I signed his cast.

"Misadventures? What that?" He said looking at what I signed on his cast.

"Because this is part of put misadventures. Misadventures is and unfortunate event. That's what this is" I said pointing to the cast.

"So smart and beautiful. Now what were you going to ask me?" He said curiously.

"Nothing. I love you" I told him absentmindedly as I laid down next to him my head on his chest.

"I love you too princess" he said kissing my head. As we snuggled up to one another and watched a movie.
