Chapter Ten
Yeah A Reggie Thing

3rd Person POV

astrid went home after and she walked in to see luke, alex and reggie in the living room

"you keep disappearing" reggie stated and she walked over as she sat on the couch and nodded

"guys i didn't want to perform at club, he forced me: i literally couldn't do anything, i don't know how he knew about that song" she exclaimed

"wait so that was your song? you wrote that?" luke asked and she turned her head to him as she nodded slowly

"yeahhhh" she dragged out

"it was insanely good, can i read your other ones?" he asked and she looked at alex as he shrugged

"it's your songs astrid, your choice" alex exclaimed and she looked back at luke as carlos and his aunt walked in

"yeah i'll show you more later" she said and he smiled as reggie leaned down to whisper her ear

"but you won't show me?" he asked as he pouted his lip and she looked up at him

"there's a reason for that reg" she said and she looked over at carlos and his aunt

"carlos i've told you before ghosts are not real" she exclaimed and Reggie scoffed with astrid

"typical adult. remember when we were kids. and they never believed what we said?" reggie asked and astrid shook her head

"that's more of you thing" Alex said

"yeah a reggie thing" astrid said and alex snapped his finger in agreement

"okay that slightly hurt" he said and she ruffled his hair with a smile on her face before they turned their attention back to carlos and his tita

"guys shouldn't we be more worried about julie ? her dad just busted her, he's probably making her quit the band" luke asked

"me and luke patterson are bad influences and there is not much we can do about it anyways but this, reggie can help this" Astrid said

"yeah adults not believing children ends tonight, showtime" he said and he flicked the light off as he got up and started to mess with the curtains

"this is the work of a demon" She said and astrid sighed

"hey don't insult reggie" she called and he sat back down with a smile

"we should probably hide before julie finds out huh" reggie said and he got up as he ran out of the room and they followed after him

"he's a cute idiot isn't he?" astrid said to alex and he shoved her shoulder with a smile

"finally admitting to liking him?" he asked her and she sighed as she flopped down on the cushion in the loft

"yeah i have to lex, he's just too amazing" she exclaimed and they stayed in the studio for the rest of the night until the next morning, when she changed her clothes and teleported into the house to see reggie standing next to ray with a smile on his face

"this is cute, whatcha doing?" she asked reggie and she heard steps as she turned to see julie walking into the kitchen and she waved at her as julie smiled back and they started to sing the song together

"i got a spark in me, hands up" ray sang with reggie

"hands up" reggie said and astrid smiled at him as julie set her backpack down and she looked at them

"this is new" julie exclaimed

"i walked in and reggie was already here but i'm enjoying this too
much to leave" Astrid stated and julie smiled at her

"yeah. i was in the mood for cooking some breakfast" Ray stated and reggie giggled

"ha. he thought you were talking to him. me and your dad are pals now, it's a little one-sided but it works" reggie said and astrid chuckled under her breathe

"look, after the talk we had the other night, i was thinking that i may have cost you an opportunity with that manager so i was thinking" ray said and julie cut him off

"dad no i shouldn't have snuck out" julie tried

"let the man speak, he's been stress eating all week" reggie exclaimed

"damn reg you a rapper now? that rhymed" she said and he smiled at her

"oh my god it did" he said and they laughed together

"i know but i really want to support your band so i called in some favors and i booked you a local gig" He said

"damn i wish my dad was that supportive of my choices" astrid whispered and reggie rubbed her shoulders

"oh my gosh. where? did you call your buddy from drakes?" julie questioned

"not quite, i called flynn, and she's gonna help us throw a party. here. tonight" Ray said

"at least it's something" astrid said and reggie agreed

"that's true" reggie said and they listened to ray talk to julie. reggie left the house and astrid went with julie to the school.

she walked into the room and she looked at julie as the song started and astrid looked at the mirror and there appeared reggie with a suit on

his hair was slicked back and he was wearing red with black. astrid was now in a light red dress that looked pink and she made eye contact with reggie

"reggie? how are you here?" she asked and he smiled

"it's a dream astrid, just follow me" he said and he put his hand out to her and she put her hand in his and they started to sing. he started them off as they heard the song behind them and they started to dance together

You helped me find the right key" reggie sang and astrid blushed as she smiled and he smiled back

... You're my favorite song"  and the song ended as reggie left and she looked around and was back in the room. reggie gone, dress gone, song gone, alone with reggie gone

she wished it wasn't over but she couldn't do anything about it. she ran out of the room but she didn't notice that julie was following. if she noticed, she could've done something but she didn't so she couldn't do anything

she only wished she could
