Told You The Ladies Love Me

3rd Person POV

-HOLLYWOOD, 1995-

there stood astrid, next to alex and reggie as alex hit his drumsticks and they started rehearsing

"ONE, TWO, THREE" astrid and reggie counted down together

during the whole time of them performing, astrid and reggie danced around the stage together as they sang in the same mics and smiled. at the end of the performance, astrid set her guitar down as she was a replacement for bobby at the time. she smiled up at alex as they all hopped up and luke rubbed alex's shoulders

"thank you! we're sunset curve" Reggie said and Astrid winked at her

"guys that was probably the best performance yet" she exclaimed and alex nodded in agreement

"wait until tonight, man when this place gets packed with record execs" Luke stated and Astrid nodded

"alex you were smoking" Reggie said

"yeah lex, you seriously rocked that" she told him and he smiled at her

"Oh no. I was just warming up. You guys were the ones on fire" alex tried and astrid tilted her head at his words

"Could you just own your awesomeness for once?" Reggie asked

"he's right lex come on" astrid pushed

"All right, I was killing it" alex stated as astrid chuckled in agreement

"yeah you were" she stated not noticing that reggie was staring with heart eyes

" Okay, well, I'm thinking we fuel up before the show. I'm thinking street dogs" Luke exclaimed

"oh god last time i got food poisoning, but if we must" she said and reggie rubbed her shoulders as he chuckled and they hopped off the stage as they walked over to the girl

"hi" astrid exclaimed and the girl blushed, luke and alex shared eye contact. she had that effect on people especially girls and well reggie

"You guys are really good" she exclaimed and Astrid smiled gratefully

"Thank you" she and luke said together

"I see a lot of bands. Been in a couple myself. I was really feeling it" she explained

"That's what we do this for. I'm Luke, by the way" luke started

"Hi, I'm Reggie." he said with a smile on his face that made astrid smile too

"Alex" her brother introduced

"astrid" she said and she shook the girls hand with a smile

"Nice meeting you guys. I'm Rose".

"i've always loved that name , rose, reminds me of the flower" astrid said and the girl smiled

"well we do have to go but it was nice meeting you rose" alex said and he led astrid away with luke and reggie following behind

"you can not make everyone fall in love with you a" Alex exclaimed and luke chuckled and astrid groaned

"it's not my fault, the ladies love me" she said and reggie blushed and with that they walked to the street dog spit

"Man... I can't wait until we eat someplace where the condiments aren't served out of the back of an Oldsmobile. Hey... Sorry, I got some pickle juice on your battery cables." alex complajned and astrid laughed

"we'll survive lex" she said and she sat down next to the boys on the couch

"This is awesome, you guys. We're playing The Orpheum! I can't even count how many bands have played here and then ended up being huge" luke said

"a whole lot of bands" she said as she bit into the hotdog and swallowed

"We're gonna be legends! Eat up, boys. 'Cause after tonight, everything changes" luke said as they all bit in again .

"That's a new flavor" alex said and astrid's stomach growled

" Chill, man. Street dogs haven't killed us yet" reggie said and astrid groaned

"guys i don't feel so good" she said and she didn't remember anything after that. the rest of the time, she spent it with luke, reggie and alex in a dark room

-THAT WAS 25 YEARS AGO-

astrid heard the music playing and she looked at reggie and alex before they were transported and they stood in front of a girl in fear. they fell to the ground and groaned in pain

"whoa! how did we get back here?" luke asked and the girl
in front of them screamed. astrid grabbed onto reggie's hand as he held hers tightly and jumped into her arms. she held him up and the girl ran out. luke and alex looked at the scene in front of them and smirked

"reg?" she whispered

"yeah?" he asked

"get down" she said and he nodded as he hopped out of her arms. they looked around the studio and waited until the girl walked in. astrid and reggie held onto each other's hands

"Are you still here  whatever you are? I know I saw something. I'm not crazy" the girl asked and they reappeared in front of her

"we're all a little bit crazy" astrid and luke spoke together and the girl screamed in fear

"please stop screaming" alex said and she stopped

"who are you? and what are you doing in my moms studio?" she questioned

"your moms studio? this is our studio, trust me. astrid where did your piano go? and my couch" Luke exclaimed and astrid ran her hand over the grand piano, she thought it would go through but it didn't

luke flopped down on the couch with a smile

"that is definitely not my six-string, can you give me just one second?" luke said and he grabbed astrid's hand as he led them away quickly

"guys what is going on? how did she get her stuff in here so fast?" luke questioned

"maybe... maybe she's a witch. there's chairs floating on the ceiling" reggie spoke

" i love the idea reggie truly but i don't think she's a witch. what if i talk to her?" she said and alex nodded

"16 year old girl to 16 year old girl" alex exclaimed and she nodded as she turned back to the girl

"hi i'm astrid, obviously we're ghosts and that's crazy but how long has it been?" she asked

" i don't know but why are you here?" she questioned her

" i'm wondering the same thing, last night was supposed to be a really big night for us, we were supposed to play at the orpheum but obviously it was big night and it killed us. we're in a band called sunset curve" astrid exclaimed and julie pulled out her phone

"whatcha doing?" luke asked

"it's my phone, wait no stop talking to them, they aren't real there's not such thing as cute ghosts" Julie said as she started to type

"told you the ladies love me" astrid exclaimed and reggie blushed again

"who you calling?" alex asked

"i'm googling sunset swerve" Julie retorted

"sunset curve" they all exclaimed

"woah there is a sunset curved you did die but not last night, 25 years ago?" Julie said and Astrid took a deep breathe in

"i've held alex crying for 25 years" astrid exclaimed

"i have been crying for 25 years, how is that possible?" alex said and astrid rubbed his back and julie's brother walked in as astrid sat on the couch. she watched julie walk out with the others following after her but she didn't. she couldn't, she looked up at the loft and looked at the wall

she climbed up the ladder and sat down as she ran her hand against the painting that was never covered up. it was small heart with her and reggie's initials in it.

"astrid, where are you?" reggie called and she looked over the edge of the loft down at him

"hi reg" she called down and he looked up at her as he smiled

"are you okay?" he asked as he climbed up the ladder and sat down next to her. she laid down and looked at the ceiling

"it's been 25 years in a dark cold room, our houses are probably gone. different phones exist, nothing is the same reg" she said and he nodded as she leaned her head against his shoulder. luke and alex looked up at them with a smile again

"i know astrid i got you" he said and they listened as luke and alex started to practice together. that was until julie walked in and started to talk to them

"should we go down there?" reggie asked

"you can but i'm staying up here" she said and reggie walked downstairs before she heard the door slam and followed julie out

"julie" she called

"astrid please" julie begged

"julie i'm sorry and i know that you aren't feeling good right now i can tell but please we just found out that we can play again and that's crazy. julie please" astrid said and julie sighed

"i wasn't thinking astrid" julie tried

"julie this is our dream and we can't let that pass up" she said and julie nodded

"sorry i got mad at you guys" she said and astrid smiled

" we get it" reggie spoke as he wrapped his arm around astrid's shoulder

" i guess if you need a place to stay , you can stay here" julie said and astrid smiled at her

"thanks jules" she said and julie walked away as they walked back into the studio and closed the door. astrid walked up to the loft as alex followed after her

"i'm happy for you and reg by the way, you've always loved each other" alex said and she smiled

"he's not my boyfriend lex" she said and he shoved her shoulder

" we're going out , you coming?" he asked and she shook her head

"going to stay here and sleep" she exclaimed and she felt around for her songbook. she pulled it out of one of the bags and she held it up

she flipped to a page and ran her hands over the lyrics. a dancers hearts , she wrote it with alex. the next day, she woke up to julie playing downstairs and she looked over the edge as she watched with a smile on her face

"holy shit" she whispered to herself as julie stopped. she noticed reggie, alex and luke behind her. they stared with a smile and she did too

she knew julie was lying, she could feel it
