Here's a hack for gradient nails. I have to admit, I haven't tried this myself yet, But I watched a video on YouTube and it looked amazing.

You will need:
•Two of your chosen acrylic paint colours.
•A makeup sponge(if you don't have a makeup sponge, then I find just any sort of sponge will work just fine)
•A nail varnish that matches the lighter colour of your acrylic paints.(ima just call this your base coat)
•A clear coat(not necessarily needed if you don't have one)
•liquid latex(I personally don't have any, But I also don't know what else you could use. Though, if you don't have any, Be prepared to just remove all of the access paint, The liquid latex just makes this quicker and easier.
•Nail varnish remover
•a small paintbrush

Steps.

1.Paint a base coat on to your nails.

2.Paint your acrylic paint's onto your makeup sponge in two parallel lines, One can slightly over lap the other if you want.

3.Paint a layer of Liquid latex on the skin around your nails.

4.Dab the acrylic paints onto your nail. Wait for nail to dry then repeat this step until you get the wanted effect.

5.wait for nail to dry then Peal of the liquid latex and remove any access paint with the nail varnish remover on your paint brush.

6.Paint a clear coat over the top to protect your nails design.
