TW: mentions of SA
(There is a warning for this in the beginning of the book but I wanted to remind you all that I'll put a summary of the chapter in the authors note so if you guys need to skip, just scroll down to the bottom when it's super heavy stuff like this. If you only want to skip the scene because there is some info you need to hear in the beginning, just read until the group goes to the party.)

third person pov

Theo and Rose never went back to the dorm that night. Instead, they snuck into Mcgongall's office and used her floo to muggle Scotland. Theo letting Rose take him to a twenty four-seven cafe, grabbing a booth by a window covered in droplets of water—the remnants of a storm. It felt metaphorical in a way.

Rose had been quick to call a waitress over, ordering herself a black coffee and him a latte without a second thought. And Theo smirked, leaning back into the bench seat as he watched her. Amused in a way of how easily she fell into old habits, quick to scold Rose when she rolled her eyes about his refusal to simply drink black coffee.

The hard part of the conversation came first, having to figure out where they went from here. Admitting you were in love with your best friend meant many complications, neither of them needing to take the time to get to know each other or any of the average relationship stuff. Theo wanted to go head first, and Rose did too. More than anything.

But there were things she had to tell him first. Although it terrified her that once she spoke honestly Theo could run away, Rose began filling him in on everything that happened with Draco from Yule and since then. She explained how patient Draco had been about their situation, and that she did really love the Malfoy—even more so when he promised to give her time. Theo didn't seem surprised but he didn't appear happy about it either, a slight look held inside his eyes that told Rose he wished to punch Draco straight across the face. Sharing her? The idea of her loving someone else? It made Theo feel a dark sense of possessiveness.

Despite this though, Rose had stared Theo straight in the eye and told him she would not choose. Claiming that if neither of them could handle it, then they couldn't handle her. Rose didn't necessarily say her plans were to have them both, she simply explained they needed to take things slow and see where it led to. Theo didn't let his worry win, she loved him. She's in love with him. There was no universe where Theo wouldn't be by her side until the end of time, he knew that.

After all the difficult stuff, Rose and Theo fell into catching each other up on every detail of the past few months. Theo didn't have much to tell, he quite literally stayed by Whitman's side or slept—not knowing how to breathe without her. Rose didn't know how to do so without him either and she made sure to tell Theo that. The only way Rose managed so long was filling her schedule full after no longer having a toxic relationship to distract herself with.

They spent all night in that cafe, falling into a barrel of laughter over the random stories Rose shared about the first years she has been teaching and Theo telling her how annoyed Whitman had gotten with him. Many other things too, of course. Both attempting to joke about how miserable they'd been without each other while downing coffee after coffee, Rose going on to explain how she would talk to Theo in her head—saying his imaginary version was not as nice. It took Theo awhile to admit it, his face too busy watching her in a bittersweet place of heartache as she talked animatedly in way he hadn't seen in months.

But eventually, Theo told Rose how he had talked to her mentally too—even going so far to recall Whitman catching him doing it aloud.

Somehow, in that little booth, they'd found healing. More peace than ever before, knowing everything they ever wanted sat before them. The waitresses on night shift would tell stories of a pair that brought the place to life all the way until sunrise, filling the cafe full of laughter for hours upon hours. A girl who talked a mile a minute as if no one had ever listened to her and a boy, who listened so intently it seemed he was witnessing a prophecy be told. Both too wrapped up in their own world to even blink when the sun began shinning through the glass.

That was two days ago.

Now, in honor of the last task finally happening tomorrow, all the houses were having a party in the room of requirement.

Rose excitedly trekked up the dormitory stairs, holding a roll of parchment in her hands. She went to grab the dorm door when it popped open. Theo appearing so quickly she flinched back and clutched at her chest.

"Ah," Theo sighs, leaning against the framing while keeping the door open only enough to fit his body. "Scared you with my freaky powers, hm?"

"You can't use your weird seeing thing on me just because we're together!" Rose protests loudly, still recovering in shock.

"Baby, be serious." Theo cocks an eyebrow, "I've always used it on you, and I quite missed doing so."

Rose screws her chin upward, pursing her lips so a smile wouldn't show. Simply seeing him made her a flush creep up from her throat, embarrassing as that is to admit.

Theo's face twists into a smirk as she trails her eyes down his body leaning on the framing. He brought a hand up to his mouth teasingly, clearing his throat.

Her eyes snapped up to his, going wide as ever.

A deep, euphoric laugh escapes Theo, "So...did you get it?"

Rose squeaked in sudden excitement, bringing the rolled parchment up to her chest—garnering a blink from Theo at the sound.

And then she began bouncing on the tips of her toes, making Theo purely amused. "Yes!" Rose finally cheered, "I can never be outbid!"

A full smile graces Theo's face, about to respond when Whitman yelled from inside.

"Who's out there?"

"Go on, tell them." Theo winks, pushing the door fully open.

Rose instantly spotted Draco standing by her bed, wiping dust off his black tee that he always imagined but never believed anyone when they told him nothing was there.

"Draco! Draco! Draco!" Rose chanted as she hurried her way over to him, not giving the boy a moment to prepare as she threw her arms around his neck. Completely knocking the wind out of him, and making them stumble before he started gliding an arm around her waist.

His eyes widened momentarily, and then his lips quirked up as her head buried into his neck. "You got it, didn't you?"

"Yes!" Rose yelped so loudly his eye flicked wide open once more. She pulls back, grasping his cheeks tightly. "Can you believe how awful it would've been if I lost?! All that planning for nothing?!"

"Oh, awful indeed," Draco forced out supportively, trying to take in how much energy she carried. It wasn't unusual, just something no one had seen in months.

Suddenly Rose tears herself away, pointing the parchment at Whitman. "Are you excited to move into a new house?!"

"I would be," Whitman scoffs, "If you could...you know...tell me what fucking place we are moving into?"

"It's a surprise, you fool!" Rose shouts defensively. Quickly walking around her bed while speaking with returning happiness, "Can you believe it? A house that isn't haunted by suicide and Walburga Black?!" Rose flops down onto her back dramatically, "What a day to be a alive!" She cheered, arms up in the air.

All of the boys switched their eyes between one another, mentally communicating while Theo began smirking—gloating over bringing her back to life.

Draco huffs, narrowing his gaze at Theo. When Rose stole Draco away to fill him in the morning after, it wasn't exactly pleasant. Of course, seeing her flooded with happiness and relief brought Draco joy. On the other hand, he had to agree to letting her be with Theo as well if they were finally going to give things a go. Since Christmas her and Draco had been forced to keep the idea of actually trying to be together on pause, Rose claiming she wasn't herself or in the right mind. Now everything Draco wanted was being offered to him by the girl who had a light return to her once hallow eyes. Draco didn't want to fight, he didn't want to loose her. Rose hadn't begged him to do anything, offering him the same thing she gave Theo—go slow and see where things led.

Draco loved Rose more than anything, meaning he would do anything for her. In this case it meant putting his heap of pride to the side, no matter how hard that is for someone like him to do. After a lifetime of fighting with Theo for Rose, Draco figured he should've suspected this. He always knew she was in love with Theo just like she was with himself, it had to possible, right? Rose's heart is definitely big enough.

So no, Draco didn't have all the answers right now but he'd go through this with Rose if it meant actually having a real chance that couldn't be taken away. It made him feel a lot better when the past two days hours had been spent with her keeping him and Theo by her side.

The others reactions differed.

Blaise and Whitman cried happy tears, real life happy tears.

Theo definitely wasn't pleased with Draco either, both clearly wanting her for theirselves. They never really agreed on nothing but the one thing in which they did—was loving her wholeheartedly.

"Anyways!" Rose chirps from the bed, making the glaring match that had stirred between the two boys instantly die out. She rolls onto her stomach toward Jade, "We move in after the holiday in Italy!"

"You ever gonna tell Whit how many plants you've planned to get?" Theo asks, referring to the past two days. During the night of their confession Theo mentioned her getting a home where nothing bad occurred in the past. Without getting any sleep, and after Rose talked with Draco, she pulled the two boys to Hogsmeade—scooping every magazine with house listings. Rose found 'the one' within an hour but refused to show it, every second since then being filled with Draco and Theo forced to flip through decorating magazines with her.

"Plants?!" Whitman blurts, instantly shaking his head. "You know nothing about plants! You'll kill them all!"

"Obviously" Rose scoffs, reaching over to pet Jade. "That's why your going to take care of them!"

Whitman began walking over, "I mean...how many plants are we talking about? Five? Six?"

Draco fell into a menacing laugh, "Mate, she tapped her wand on a single plant in that magazine about twenty times last night. Poor shop broker probably woke up at two in the morning to his register going off."

Rose lifted a finger. Speaking matter of factly, "I have bought fifty so far, thank you very much!"

Whitman halts by the end of the bed, beginning to slowly blink.

In a rough way, Theo claps him on the shoulder with a cruel smirk forming. "Oh love, you'll give Whit a heart attack."

The door slammed open, stealing the groups attention onto Blaise bursting through with a bottle of whiskey in his hand. There had been a lack of happiness on his face recently, getting questioning looks as he wrapped arms around Theo and Draco's necks.

Then, before Draco could protest, Blaise laid a quick kiss to his cheek. Draco and Theo instantly tried to escape his grip, not quick enough as Blaise did the same to Theo. "My people!" He shouted, bringing them in closer and shaking their bodies.

"Blaise!" Draco scolds, Theo and him breaking away at the same time.

"Oh Salazar," Whitman looks up the ceiling, "He's on drugs again."

"I am not on drugs." Blaise deadpanned, forcefully hitting Whitman on the spine with the bottle as he made his way toward Rose.

Rose grins, rolling onto her back once again. "They just don't get you like I do, Blaise."

"Never." Blaise winks, latching onto Rose's arm and pulling her up. His hand grabs onto onto her chin, forcing her to look in different directions. "You see this, guys? My lady is alive!"

Rose giggled while swatting him away, "Leave me alone!"

"Fine." Blaise hooks his arm around her neck forcefully, ignoring the warning looks suddenly being shot his way from the roughness as he turned Rose toward the others. His finger points at Theo, "You two are never allowed to act like that again, understand? I am fragile to this!"

A random spurt of anger filled Theo at the mention, bothered by any reminder. He pushed it down through, forcing a straight face.

"Shut up." Whitman huffs.

"You don't get it! If Rose and Theo can't make it, who can?!" Blaise spoke dramatically, "Child of divorce, may I remind you! Draco, you're too fussy! Whitman, well, you're like my mother—new fling all the time!"

Theo crosses his arms lazily, "You're really gonna milk this divorce thing, aren't you?"

Blaise brings Rose into his chest protectively, pointing his finger between her and Theo. "These two are the only form of unwavering love I know! If they leave each others side, what hope is left for the rest of us?!"

Rose pushes off his chest, smiling wryly. "Well you don't have to worry about that. Okay, you fool? Now, drink so we can go to the party."

"Ladies first," Blaise offered with an extending of the bottle.

"I'm good." Rose shrugs, "I'm high on serotonin, you know?"

All at once, the group did a double-take. In disbelief at her refusal.

"What?" Whitman laughs, "Did you just decline...whiskey?"

"What about it?" Rose sasses defensively, "I just want to remember my night!"

Their eyes began switching between each other as Blaise stood frozen with the bottle, Rose letting a heavy sigh out at their overreaction.

And then, Theo's lips quirked up. His slight movement making Rose step backward, already knowing what he was about to do.

"Theo," She pleads, shuffling closer to Draco's bed. "Don't..."

"I'm coming for you." Theo shot back teasingly, biting down on his lip to conceal a smile as he neared.

"No!" Rose yelps, jumping up onto the mattress to escape.

Draco yells, "Oi! Get your shoes off my bed!"

"I'm trying to protect myself!"

Draco laughs dryly, pushing away from her bed. "Now I'm coming for you too!"

"Whit!" Rose shouts with the utmost dramatic flair, "Save me from the crazy people!"

*

The room of Requirement changed from something mythical to the epitome of teenagers slumming it. Filled to the brim with students, vibrant flashing lights and smoke filling up the space from different groups.

Draco grimaced when they arrived to the doors, disturbed by the sight of people making out in the corridor. Rose groaned at his attitude, taking his and Theo's hand—yanking them through what would easily be proclaimed as the biggest party of the year from all of the houses coming together.

As always, the first destination would be the drinks table. A routine the group of five adopted years ago.

Rose released the two boys almost instantly, picking up a random unopened bottle before facing them. "Who wants this?"

Draco arches a brow, "The whiskey was enough for me."

"I have a bad feeling," Theo mutters as his eyes scan around the tightly packed room, "I don't want to be drunk."

"Suit yourself!" Whitman yells over the music, snatching the bottle away.

A flash of platinum hair appeared under the light, garnering a gasp from Rose. "I'll be right back!" She announces, rushing away before anyone could stop her.

"Well then," Whitman cracked the seal, tipping the bottle toward the boys. "Here's to living in what the muggles call hell."

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Theo asks bluntly, grabbing onto Whitman's sleeve. "Everything's fine and you've been acting as if it's suddenly miserable for you?"

Whitman ignored him, taking a long swig of the alcohol while Blaise pushes Theo's hand off with a shake of his head.

"Just let him be, eh?"

"No." Theo scoffs, pulling the bottle down and away. "No, no. Don't give me that look," Theo spoke as Whitman glared at him. "What the fuck is going on?"

"Everyone's happy, I'm happy." Whitman forcefully took the bottle back, "Just leave me alone, and go run off into the sunset."

Theo's brows pinched together, something that always happened when he began to focus. He didn't get it, Whitman had been fine until finding out that Theo and Rose were making up.

Draco crossed his arms, ready to join in on figuring out what was happening to their best friend when suddenly Rose stumbled back into the group with Luna.

"Look who I found!"

"The most beautiful girl in the world?" Blaise questions, smiling brightly at Luna.

"Oh shove it, Blaise." Luna pouts, pulling Rose to the drinks table.

"You tell him, Loony." Draco laughs out, enjoying the blank stare overcoming Blaise's features.

Before Theo's hand could even make contact with Rose's waist, a much paler hand reached onto her shoulder and spun her around.

She went to scold the unknown source for ruining her moment of helping Luna pour drinks, but halted at seeing Cedric Diggory.

"Diggory!" Rose greets kindly, "Where's my lady Cho?"

"She decided to end things on tonight of all nights," Cedric replies with a smile, outstretching a cup. "Drink from a fellow champion?"

Rose shook her head, "I'm not drinking tonight"

"Come on," Cedric encourages, "In honor of the possibility of death coming?"

"Fine, but just one! " Rose huffs, snatching the cup. The liquid inside caught her attention quickly, neon blue floating around. "Why does it look so funny?"

Cedric chuckles, "Some special kind Zacharias got"

The sick feeling in Theo's gut grew. Deciding to interrupt from behind her, "Ro, I don't think—"

Too late.

Rose lifted the cup to her lips as soon as he had begun to speak, easily chugging down the liquid.

Draco realized what was happening, and yanks the cup from her hands to look at the blue stains. "The fuck did you just drink?"

Cedric refused to make eye contact with the boy, "A new liquor we found in the muggle world" He replies. Stepping closer to Rose, "Could I talk to you about the last task for a moment? I think I figured it out but this room is so loud..."

Rose shrugs, holding out her arm for him to loop into his own. "Why not?"

Theo grabs onto her hand as Cedric looped their arms, "No." He affirms, "Don't."

Her eyes roll, yanking free. "Don't be dramatic!" Rose shouted over the new bass song playing out. Cedric began pulling her away quickly, garnering a yelp from Rose. "I'll be back!"

Theo, who lucky was taller than the average student, could see over the mass of bodies and kept his eyes on Rose the whole time that Cedric guided her through the exit. He began to speak while turning back toward Draco, "I have a bad—"

"Smell this." Draco interrupts, shoving the cup into Theo's face. "It's—it's not right?"

Theo wraps his fingers around the cup, prying it from Draco. In an instant he has to clutch his forehead, overcome with the feeling of vision.

One Theo wished he never saw.

The most vile, gut-wrenching images flash inside his brain. It's so sickening that bile rises up his throat, the cup falling to the ground. Unable to tear himself away from the vision.

Whitman grabs onto Theo's shoulder, worried from the look on his face. "What is it?"

Draco shoves him roughly, "Theo!"

It took a few seconds for Theo's eyes to snap open, his head slowly lifting up. Pure torment across his glassy eyes, and anger. Real, unbridled anger.

Theo doesn't say anything, only takes off in the direction of the doors. Roughly pushing through people without hesitation, the two boys following after in confusion.

When Rose and Cedric had exited, he led her into the hallway. She let out a laugh at the sudden feeling of being drunk, "Where are we going? And how powerful was that drink?"

Cedric placed a finger over her lips, staying silent until they reached an alcove right outside of the party. He sighed, and placed his hands on her waist, "How are you feeling?"

Rose felt dizzy, in a way she never had. Her words sounded normal mentally but barely were audible out loud, "I thought—I thought you wanted to talk about the task"

Cedric nodded reassuringly, knowing he needed to wait a second. "Yeah, did you figure out what is was?"

"You..you said you knew and—" The sentence fell off as her limbs began to buzz, sending her almost into a tumble from having no control over her body.

Cedric pushed her back against the wall, "Woah there"

She shook slightly, completely relying on him to keep her body up. "Cedric, I think something was in that drink?"

Cedric nodded, using one hand to run it down the side of her body, "You'll be okay Rose, just be quiet, okay?"

Her eyes close, "Can—can you go get Theo?" She mumbles.

His hand moved up onto her chest, grabbing the left side. "You don't need him, Rose."

It didn't feel as if she was really there as she attempted lifting her arms to push him away but failed, "Cedric, get off of me. Cedric—"

His other hand moved onto her backside, "I'll treat you good"

Everything in her body screamed along with the tears rolling down her face. Experiencing the moment with no way to lift a finger. "Cedric I—I barely have spoken to you" Her voice sounded slurred but broken.

He pressed his body against her firmly, "But I see the way those boys touch you..if you can give it up for someone like them, why not me?"

A sob escaped her lips, trying to use her power or anything to help herself but there was no way. He had drugged her, making sure she was powerless.

"Please, I'm begging you get away..."

He laughed lightly and moved his hand to fiddle with the bottom of her dress, "I can't do that Rose, see I'm going to take you to my tower..." He pressed his body harder against her own, beginning to wipe her tears.

Then, with sheer force, Cedric was being yanked away from her.

Her body almost hit the floor but Whitman catches Rose on instinct, bringing her into his chest.

Theo pins Cedric against the wall with his forearm, staring at the boy breathlessly before glancing at Whitman. "Get her out of here." He demands harshly.

Draco stepped up beside Theo, "Go!" He shouts upon noticing Whitman unmoving at the sound of her sobbing against him.

Whitman snapped back to reality, bending down and putting an arm under Rose's legs.

"Where—where's Theo?" She mumbled, trying to twist out of his arms. "Whose touching me?"

"It's Whit." Whitman mumbles, sharply turning down the hall as he sees Theo fist going into Cedric's gut. "No one's going to hurt you." He affirms in a shaky voice, picking up his pace down the corridor.

She didn't respond, crying quietly the whole to Slytherin house. Whitman felt nothing short of sick, trying to force himself to not imagine what Cedric was about to do.

Painfully cringing every five seconds at the mental image, his grip tightening with every step into the dark dorm.

"I'm going to set you down on the bed." Whitman chokes out. Placing her in his lap as he sat on the edge of his mattress, keeping one arm around her body as he held out a hand—accio'ing a sober-up potion.

The vial came flying from the bathroom, and into his fingers. It became a fight to get the potion down her throat, an all too easy one that made Whitman feel even more ill as he forced her lips open.

He'd cradled her closely to his chest for at least five minute of resounding silence. When the potion finally hit, it came all at once.

Rose jumped out of his arms, wobbling onto the stone floor. Appearing horrified, fully coherent as she looked at Whitman. Clutching at her heart, neither of them realizing Jade standing worriedly on the bed or Nyx sliding across the ground.

Whitman stood, Rose holding up a hand as she ran into the bathroom.

He heard it.

Heard her knees skid on the tile floor, and heard her throw up.

By the time Whitman made it inside the bathroom, the shower was running—curtain pulled shut. All of her clothes, shoes, and accessories throw in a messy trail. Evidence of the hurry to cleanse herself.

He could make out a shadow behind the curtains, his throat closing up as her cries sounded like a distant plea. Witnessing Rose's shadow fall into a sitting position inside the tub.

"Whit?"

"Yeah?" He calls back in a small voice.

"Clothes." Rose croaks, steam filling up the space.

By the time Whitman returned he spotted Rose reaching out of the shower to yank a towel from the rack.

"I'll leave the clothes on the sink." He mutters, placing the stack atop the marble. Rose didn't reply, leaving him to take a deep breath and exit.

Whitman sat anxiously on her bed, tediously petting a laying down Jade to calm himself. Looking up when the bathroom door creaked open.

"I took a sleeping potion." Rose mumbles, fidgeting on her feet.

"Well that's," Whitman shifts upward, "Good."

Rose shrugs slightly, hand gripping her own elbow. "Where's Nyx?"

Whitman blinked at the casual question, "She's beside Jade, if you can believe it." He replies, nodding toward the white snake laying next to Jade.

In an instant Rose rushes over, scooping up the snake and sitting on the bed. Bringing Nyx into her chest as she leans against the headboard.

It's a heartbreaking sight for him, watching Rose curl herself into a ball and slip under the covers. Her body turned away from him, the soft sound of Nyx hissing in a language he could make it out. Jade getting up to circle around her back as if the dog knew something awful had happened.

His throat closed up, and he didn't dare say word right then. Instead moving around to crouch by the edge she faced, angered from the water filling her eyes that snapped open to look at him. Not mad at her, of course. Pissed off and wishing he could go rip Cedric's throat out.

"Can I—I touch you?"

"Yeah." She whispers hoarsely.

Whitman leans forward, soothing down her wet hair as his lips press to her forehead. There isn't another exchange of words after that. Rose eventually scooting back to let him into the bed, Whitman bringing her head into his lap. Providing a form of comfort he learned to give her at a young age, presence and silence.

An hour later the dorm door quietly opened, revealing a sight Whitman could have never prepared himself to see. Choking on a gasp to prevent himself from waking Rose up.

Theo and Draco were covered—heavily covered in blood.

"Is she okay?" Draco asks, rushing across the room.

Whitman's lips parted in shock, unable to formulate a response. His mind going in a million different directions of what they had just done.

"Whit!" Draco spat harshly, "Is she okay?!"

"You're going to wake her up!" Whitman snapped out of it, whispering just as harsh. "She's fine!"

"Draco," Theo pushes out, giving the boy a shove toward the bathroom. "Go shower."

The Malfoy hesitated, staring down at her sleeping body. His head shook, and then he took off toward the shower.

Whitman's eyes followed his every move, "Theo..." He whispers as the bathroom lights flick on and the door closes. Eyes slowing dragging back to see Theo taking a seat on the edge of the bed, "What did you....do?"

There was an off-putting shake to Theo's bloodied hands as he brought them up to cradle his face, leaning on both knees. "I didn't think I was capable of killing someone like that." He spoke cruelly, but an mistakable strain laced his tone.

"Oh." Whitman replies quickly, not needing to know how brutal it had been. The statement gave him a clear picture.

"I need something," says Theo, head turning to Whitman. "Something to call me down. My hearts, it's—it's beating really fast."

The Rosier reached onto the side table while keeping one hand on Rose, tossing a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. "That's all I got mate."

Theo huffed out a long strand of air as he pulled a cigarette out, cupping his hand around the rolled tabacco to flick the lighter on. Whitman watched in a semblance of patience as Theo took puff after puff, as if it would somehow make everything better.

"Did you hide the body?" Whitman finally asks.

"Took em' to the seventh floor, killed him there." Theo answers spitefully, appearing dead on the inside as his face flashes with anger. Staring off into the abyss, "Wrote rapist on what's left of his forehead, let them find him. He doesn't get to be remembered as some hero."

"What's left of his forehead?!" Whitman sat up in shock, unable to control himself from spitting the words out loudly.

"You heard me. And shut up? You'll wake her, you idiot." Theo's focus lazily turns onto Whitman, "Won't be traced back to us, too smart for that."

Whitman slowly sat back against the head board, "Well then." He murmurs carefully, glancing down at Rose to make sure she's still soundly sleeping. "If your worried about how brutal—"

"I'm not worried about that. Kill him again if I got that chance." Theo interrupts crudely, head shaking as he took another puff. "You don't get it."

"Don't get what, Theo?"

"At the party, when Draco handed me that cup and I got a vision, I—" He chokes up and Whitman witnesses the bob of his throat.

"You don't have to tell me." says Whitman with his own spite, looking off to the side. Unable to imagine what Theo could've possibly seen.

Theo runs a frustrated hand through his hair, body collapsing from it's once tense nature as he weakly leans on his knees. "I saw it." He spat, eyes squeezing tightly shut. "He was going to take her up that tower—violent. So fucking violent and I," He takes a deep breath, "We were as brutal as we could be and it still doesn't feel like enough. I—I saw it happen, Whit."

Whitman didn't realize his eyes had begun to glass over, only feeling sickness building up inside his stomach. "Theo, I..." He couldn't figure out what to say, or what to do. Nothing would make it better for anyone involved.

Summary: the party happens, Cedric drugs her and gropes her in the hallway. Luckily people come in time before it goes too far. That's a really shit summary but?? lots of errors in this chap probs bc I couldn't bring myself to edit much

A/N: i really wanted to cut this out but it's a part of her story but atleast somewhat of justice was served this time, that obvious doesn't make it better but still. if you guys need anything you can always dm me literally anytime of the day <3

—on another note, I didn't have them kill him for some hot broody moment. there will be a whole new arc in this rewrite and I also feel like I'm doing the characters more so of how I see them this time around since I spent so much time writing them in the OG and I just don't think there was a way for me to spin them not killing Cedric for that? Especially with Theo being a seer and seeing what would've happened.

—just realized Voldy is back next chapter, which is exciting because the book becomes really plot focused and the whole DE thing pushes a lot of characters into big arcs

—so we'll go more in depth with the romantic situations but it's only been two days since the confession when this chapter takes place so there wasn't much to tell

—I guess go drink water & eat something healthy ?? idk

—oh and life update!: I've been talking to this boy from Brisbane on and off for two years and finally cut him off today!! someone clap or i might lose it (im definitely going to lose it) this isn't a rant (im ranting in my A/N now) 🤞🏼🤞🏼

no memes because that would feel wrong for this chap but love u all <3
