When I heard nothing but silence, I decided to get out of the cabinet I'm hiding in which is located in the lab. Yes, a laboratory. My parents are both doctors and scientists. This place is restricted for us but I always sneaked in here because I just love the chemicals, experimenting, and technologies located inside. I wanted to be like my parents when I grow up.

I stretched my neck, arms, and legs before deciding to leave because it hurts while I'm hiding inside the cabinet. Thank God, my dad didn't saw me!

"Good bye Crishane 2.0! Again, it's a secret. Don't tell mom and dad that I enter the lab. Okay?" I bid goodbye to the robot guarding this lab which is Crishane 2.0. I hacked the robot so that I can enter the lab freely with the help of my sister, Jorgina. She already had an access in the lab when she turned 18. She's 20 now while I'm 16. But she don't usually visit the lab because she's not just into something scientific. She said she wants to be a doctor to help people and not to create medicines and invent stuffs and such. My parents also don't always visit in the lab cause we have a larger lab located in our hospital. We own a hospital and that's where the security is hard to pass so I only sneaked at the lab there once.

I walked outside the door and treaded upstairs since the lab is located in the basement. When I'm about to take the last step of the stairs, my sister appeared out of nowhere.

"Catarina!" she called

"My ghad, Jorgina! You scared me. I thought I was caught. Gosh!" I exclaimed

"My hunch was right. You're sneaking again in the laboratory. You're dead once our parents caught you." she respond while I just roll my eyes

"What do you want?" I asked. Her facial expressions changed to being sad and scared. "W-why?"

"Let's talk in my room."

"What?! You're pregnant?!"

She started crying. "Please don't tell mom and and dad. I-I'm scared. I don't know what they will do to me once they knew. I'm only a college student. Let me be the one to tell them. I'm just waiting for the right timing."

I panicked. First, I was shocked. Second, I don't know how to comfort someone crying. "Shhh. Okay, okay. Don't cry. I don't know how to comfort someone. I will cry if you continue crying."

"I can't. I don't know what will happen." she continue crying

I avoided my gaze at her because I can't see someone crying. "I think I will know what will happen."

"What? How?"

"I don't know yet but I will. Just wait."

She looks at me with confusion but I just replied with a mischievous smile.

I sneaked again at the laboratory because I think I saw something that might help us in Jorgina's problem.

"Crishane 2.0, where are the time machines located?" I asked Crishane 2.0 and she answered. My parents always invent something but not yet proven effective so why not give it a try.

"I've found it! Thanks Crishane 2.0!" I've never tried time traveling before. It's just a small but heavy black box.

"How to use this, Crishane 2.0? Is this button a way to time travel?" I asked when I noticed a red button in front. There is also an engraved words saying "Chronorus 0.1" below the button.

"That's Chronorus 0.1. A time machine that can only travel in the future. And yes, that's the button. There's a mechanics there but I know you're lazy to read it so I'll just discuss it to you." I giggled to the answer Crishane 2.0.

"Gosh Crishane 2.0! You really know me well, huh? But a time machine that can only travel in the future? That sounds scary. I just wanna take a look in the future. Is there no other time machine that--" I was stopped when Crishane 2.0's eyes suddenly turned red and said a warning.

"Dr. Millicent is coming! Dr. Millicent is coming!" she repeatedly said

"Wait, w-what? My dad? Hey-" I was so startled that I don't know what do to.

"Dr. Millicent is coming! Dr. Millicent is coming!"

"Oh shut up Crishane 2.0! I'm pressured." I dropped the time machine and suddenly Crishane 2.0 stopped.

"Thanks God you stopped Crish-" I was about to pick up the time machine when my dad called me.

"Catarina?"

"D-dad? L-let me explain."

I was so shocked and I don't know what I'm doing. The next thing I knew is I pushed the red button.

I got a bit dizzy as the room suddenly changed. Wait, I'm in our living room. What? Is this a time machine or a teleportation device? This is kinda cool.

I saw Jorgina crying as my parents followed her.

"Gosh, Jorgina! You're such an embarrassment to our family!" mother exclaimed. What's happening?

"Get out of my house! From now own, we don't have a daughter named Jorgina." father shouted

"I-I'm sorry." Jorgina cried as she left the house by herself. I was about to follow her when I heard someone stopped her.

"D-don't leave!" I said. Wait, it's not me! I saw another figure of me following Jorgina. Wait, did I really time travel few days or weeks after? Does that mean they doesn't see me?

"Catarina, don't follow that bitch!"

But my other body, it sounds weird tho, doesn't listen to our parents and follows Jorgina. I also followed them and my parents didn't see the other me.

Jorgina is already far from the house.

"Jorgina, stop! Don't run!" my other self runs towards Jorgina as I also run towards my other self but Jorgina just runs faster. It's confusing.

My other self was about to get to Jorgina when suddenly "Watch out Jorgina, a car!" my other self exclaimed as she take over the car and got hit.

I stopped running when I saw my other self got hit by a car and was thrown few feet away.

"Catarina!" Jorgina exclaimed as she ran towards my other body

I was so shocked while watching the scene. I'm trembling with fear. The driver of the car helped Jorgina carry me.

"Help me! Bring her to the hospital! Please save my sister!"

"I-I'm sorry. Y-yes, I will bring her to the hospital." the driver said as she placed me in the backseat together with Jorgina

I saw my family in funeral. They're standing in front of my coffin. Yes, I'm dead.

I can't believe this. I can't look inside the coffin. My body is trembling. I'm scared. Did I really die? Why am I still here? Am I just a soul now? I don't know what to do. A tear left my eye.

"I-I'm sorry mom, dad. It's my fault why Catarina's dead." my sister cried

"Shh. Don't be sorry. We are the one who should feel sorry. It's our fault. If we didn't scold at you and make you leave the house, she wouldn't follow you and got hit by the car." mother said as she hugged Jorgina, she is also crying

"No time for regrets. It already happened. I'm sorry, Jorgina. Please go back to our house. We'll help you." father said as the three of them hugged each other

I'm also crying beside them. I want to hug them but I know they won't feel it. I'm hurting but I also feel happy. I'm hurting because I'm too young to die. I don't deserve this. Why? But at least my family is now okay again. I hope they'll be happy even without me.

I saw myself in the park. There are kids playing in the playground.

"Margarelle!" I heard my sister called someone

"Yes, mommy?" a child suddenly stopped from playing in the swing, I guess she's my niece

"Come on, baby! We are about to eat." Jorgina said

"Okay mommy!" Margarelle followed Jorgina

I saw them sit down a picnic mat together with our parents happily eating. A smile formed in my face as I watched them. I wish I could be happy with them too.

I'm inside a church. It looks like there is a wedding. I suddenly saw my parents and Jorgina wearing gowns and suit. Everyone here was wearing a formal attire. I walk towards them even though I know they won't see me.

"I can't believe this. My Margarelle will be married!" my sister exclaimed. Wow, how I wish I could be with them at this moment.

"Yeah, time flies so fast." mother said

"Indeed, my granddaughter will no longer be a baby." father said

I suddenly feel emotional and walks away from them. I was about to leave the church when I bump into someone.

"Sorry." we both said in unison

"W-wait, can you see me?" I asked in shock

"I- well, I was about to ask the same question."

I looked at him from head to toe. He's wearing a casual clothes same with mine.

"Are you a time traveller too?" I stared at him for a moment "Uhm, hello?" I was back into my senses when he waved at me

"O-uh, yes? I-I don't know? I'm a time traveller? I guess?" I'm confused

He looked at what I'm holding and I noticed that he's also holding a black box with a red button same as mine but the words engraved in it is "Chronosen 1.0".

"Well, you have a time machine. So you're a time traveller, right?" he asked

"I don't know." I shrugged "It was an accident. I didn't mean to do time travel. Now, I don't know my way back."

"Wait, I don't follow. You mean, you're from the past?"

I nodded.

"Cool."

"Wait, what year are you from?"

"2120. How about you?"

"Wow, we're hundred years apart. I'm from 2020."

"By the way, I'm Kryxian." he said as he offers a handshake

"Catarina." I answered as I accepted his hands

The wedding ceremony was about to start so we left the church. We sit on a bench not far from the church and continued our conversation. I learned that we are the same age, though I'm a hundred years older. He said that he really wanted to time travel to the past because he have questions unanswered and those questions are being answered one by one. During his time, time machine is well-known and widely used. He can only travel to the past because it's the only scope of his time machine. While I can only travel in the future. We talked a lot and we didn't noticed the time. We just noticed that the people from the church are leaving one by one.

"The wedding is already finished?" he asked "Wow, we didn't noticed the time."

"Yeah, we talked a lot. It was nice talking to you." I commented

"Same, it was nice meeting you." he smiled and I smiled back "Unfortunately, it's our first and last meeting." his voice suddenly became sad

"Can't we meet again tomorrow?"

"I can only travel in the past, remember?"

I frowned "Can't we just wait for tomorrow?"

"Sorry, but I automatically travel when a day is over." he smile sadly

"That's so sad for us."

"Really sad."

"Let's just enjoy the remaining time we have left. It's just 2 in the afternoon."

We went to different places. We commented about how the place changes from my time, to this present, and to his time. But time really flies fast. The last time we looked into the clock it's already 11pm. We just don't mind the time and just live the last moment we're together instead of counting down the remaining time. As of now, we're laying down in the grass at a park while stargazing. The moment I'm with him gives me a kind of euphoria I haven't feel before.

"That was fun." he said, still looking at the stars

"Yeah, a day with you was fun." I glimpse at him then I gazed again at the stars "I hope this happened again."

"I hope too. But what happen to us is just another tragic love story."

"Love story?"

"You know what, I love you." I looked at him after he said that to me

He looked back at me and said, "I know it sounds crazy. We just met and we'll never meet again but I just don't want to regret not saying this. Time is really gold. I just feel it and I'm sure about what I feel. I can no longer said that I love you again because-"

"I love you too." I said making him cut off his sentence

We stared at each other for a moment and smiled at each other.

He leaned closer and give me soft kiss. The next thing I knew is that he slowly disappears making my heart slowly breaks into pieces.

I'm in an office. Margarelle Millicents, The Millicents Hospital. It was written at the table. There was a pregnant woman sitting in front of the table. I just want to stroll around because I don't really care at all anymore. Time traveling for me is no longer fun. I just wanna go back to the last time I time travelled - to the time I met Kryxian. Suddenly, the door opened and it showed a middle aged lady. It was Margarelle. Wow she had grown a lot.

"Jossey?" she called "My gosh, where did you go? I was finding you. Why are you here in my office?"

"I heard the news. The guy who raped me is now on jail. Is that right?" that girl Jossey said bitterly.

"Yes. So please don't do any harm to your child. I'm here to help you. I'm your mother. In fact, I already have a list of names to name your baby." What? She's Margarelle's daughter? Then she's Jorgina's granddaughter which is also my granddaughter.

Jossey just cried. Margarelle hugged her daughter. "Shhh, it doesn't matter who is the father of that child. We will take care of the baby."

"Krztyn."

"What?"

"I don't know but I want to name my baby, Krztyn."

"Clarkson, I'm pregnant." a lass sad to a man. They seemed like they have a big age gap. The boy looks like a 30-year-old man while the girl looks like a 17-year-old. I'm not really familiar about them. Why am I here?

"What?" the boy said

"I said I'm pregnant!"

"Are you serious, Krztyn?" Krztyn? The daughter of Jossey? The daughter of my granddaughter? What's happening?

"Does it look like I'm joking?"

"But I'm married." What the fuck?

"I know!" What?

"What do you want me to do?"

"I-I don't know. Leave your wife?"

"What the-? Abort it or sell it to the child market?" What's happening?

"No way! Wait, 'it'? Di you just called our baby 'it'? Gosh, he's not just a thing to sell!"

"So what? What will I do?"

"Live with me."

Clarkson just laughed.

"What's funny? I thought you love me."

"You really think that I love you? Look at yourself. You're so young. You're just pretty but nah. Handle your problem yourself." and he leaves

Fuck that man. I want to punch him in the face so hard.

I was in a garbage area and it's already dark. There's no much people going in this area until I saw a familiar girl carrying a baby. She's Krztyn. I guess it's her baby. Therefore the baby is the grandson of my granddaughter. Wow, I feel so old.

She looked around to see if no one's in this area. I noticed her crying. "I-I'm sorry baby. I have to do this. I don't know what kind of life will I give to you. Your mother don't even know how to take care of herself. I hope you understand."

She kneeled near the garbage area and hugged him for the last time. "I love you but I can't take you with me. Goodbye." she kissed the baby's forehead and laid him in the floor. My eyes began to be teary.

I guess I understand why she have to threw the baby away. But it's still bad. She's too young for this.

She immediately stand up, wiped her tears, and run away. I looked at baby with pity, what a life. Life is really sad and cruel. That baby is still my family so I want him to have a nice life.

I'm sitting in the backseat of a car.

"Stop the car." a lady from the front seat said.

"Wait, what?" the man beside her asked. He was sitting in the driver's seat.

"Just stop it." They looked like a couple or something.

The man stopped the car and woman looked around. She even looked at me! But I know they don't see me.

"Can you hear that?" the woman asked

"What? I don't hear anything." the man replied. I also don't hear anything.

"Shh. Listen carefully. It's like a crying baby." the woman seemed worried and that's when I hear a crying baby. "I'll just check it outside." I started to hear soft cries.

"Hey don't- argh!" the man was about to stopped the woman but she was quick, she also got off the car. The man have no choice but to follow the woman.

I also got off the car, still they doesn't notice me.

"What are you doing in the garbage? Get up- is that a baby?" the man asked

The woman is now carrying a baby, "Yes, isn't he cute? Ghad! Who the hell thew this baby in the garbage? They're heartless!" It was the grandson of my granddaughter!

"O-okay? We need to go to the police station to report it and hand that baby to them."

"What? No! Yzavyl will be happy once she knew she'll have a baby brother."

"What? Don't tell me-"

"We'll be the parents of this baby."

The woman seemed to be nice. I wish they took really good care of the baby.

"Let's name him 'Kryxian'."

Kryxian? Is this baby named Kryxian? Kryxian is the grandson of my granddaughter? He's my descendant? I'm dumbfounded.

I'm inside a hospital. Wow, The Millicents Hospital is still continuing its service up to this day. But I still can't believe the fact that Kryxian is the grandson of my granddaughter - that the man I loved is a part of my family.

I turned around to the area where I heard a door opened and suddenly a nurse from inside rushed outside "Miss Catarina is awake!" Woah, that's my name.

She left the door opened so I take a sneak inside. The woman laying in the bed inside really looks like me but a bit older. I was stunned.

She looks so pale and weak. Dextroses and machines are attached all over her body. She slowly looks at me and motioned me to come closer. Wait. "Can you see me?" I asked and she slowly nods

Though still confused, I walk towards her. I was stopped in my tracks when she called me "Catarina," she said in a soft and weak voice

"Wait, d-do you know me?"

"Yes, you are me. I am you."

"What? I don't get it."

She coughs and replied back "Look, we're just the same. I'm also Catarina." I widen my eyes when I slowly realizes what's going on. " You're from the past and I'm your future self. I'm already more than a hundred years old but I look like I'm in my 20s. You know our father, he likes experimenting. He didn't want me to die. He examined me body while finding the right remedy for me to come back to life. While finding it, I was in the cryonics. I was frozen and then defrost then frozen again and repeat. When father died, the future generations forgot about me and left me in a room. In total, I was frozen in almost 80 years. Until today, I was defrosted again." she stopped and a tear left her eye. I was also crying. "I also want to reach this day b-because I want too meet Kryxian."

"D-did you met him?"

She shake her head in disagreement "N-no, h-he's gone."

"What?" I exclaimed. We were both crying.

"I want you to change the future. Go back to the past."

"How?" She held the time machine in my hands and clicked something. I didn't know that this time machine had many features.

Suddenly, she stopped. I thought she's finish doing something in my time machine until her body began to shake. The lights in the room suddenly change to color red and a loud noise signaling a warning. The nurses rushed inside as they gather around the bed where the other Catarina is lying.

I was still in shock. Then I hear a voice saying, "Click the red button," It sounds like my other self. "and change the future."

"Ms. Catarina Millicent, time of death 4:56pm."

That's the last thing I heard before I clicked the red button.

I got dizzy as the surroundings suddenly changed. I closed my eyes and touched my head.

"You're back!"

I opened my eyes in shock and examined the place. "I-I'm back?" I asked Crishane 2.0. I'm in the laboratory.

"Yes, that's what I said!" I rolled my eyes as she answered "A lot happened. You better hurry."

My mind is still overloaded and still confused. Was it all a dream? Or a nightmare?

Then I remembered that dad caught me here inside. I left the time machine inside and rushed outside to see Jorgina. She's not in her room. I scanned the house but no one's inside. Where are they?

I went outside the house, it's almost dark. I was about to open our gates to go out the house when Jorgina already opened it.

"Oh? Where were you? Where are mom and dad? I missed you!" I said as I hug her. I thought I can't go back here.

But she doesn't hug me back. She looks tired. She looked at me as if she's saying "the heck are you talking about?"

"Anyways, what's with that face?" I asked instead

"I already aborted the baby." she said with no emotions

"What?!" I shouted "Seriously? Why the hell did you do that? You don't know the consequences of doing that. You don't know that the child of yours will bring happiness to you and our family! You don't know what- aaaaaaah! Why?" I didn't notice that I was already crying

"What do you care? Could you just please shut up. Mom and dad will be home in a few hours so-"

"How could you just talk to me casually when you killed a child and the future child of yours?" I can't help but to raise my voice at her

She rolled her eyes and walk passed by me leaving me in our gates.

I burst in tears. My knees are shaking due to too much emotions. I sat down in our open gates, not having care if someone saw me crying while sitting the ground. She killed Margarelle. She killed Jossey. She killed Krztyn. She killed Kryxian. My sister just killed the man I love!

"Aaaaaa!" I let another loud cry as I release too much emotion

My vision become blurry but I think I saw Kryxian from afar. I wiped my tears and rubbed my eyes and looked again. "K-Kryxian?" he's watching me while... slowly fading "Kryxian!" I shouted as I run towards him

His blank face suddenly became furious as he shouted, "Watch out Catarina, a car!"

I stopped running and looked at my side. A car was running towards my direction. I was blinded by the lights coming from the car. The last thing I knew, everything went black.
