For some more information, a character in The Place of No Stars will likely not have the "Allegiances Only" identification for their Book Appearances description for a given story if the story does not have a spot for Dark Forest characters in the Allegiances.

Some characters may also have similar or the exact same names, and they may come from the same Clan at different points in time. For example: Plumstar is currently a Dark Forest character as of Arising Shadows, but Plumstar could also be the name of a different character in the future. Do keep that in mind when looking for a specific character.
