Third-person-pov
Anushka wakes up to the sound of her mobile notifications. She glances around, the soft glow of the room light illuminating the empty space beside her. Her heart sinks a little. Swinging her legs off the bed, she pads quietly toward the kitchen, where she sees Virat at the counter.
Virat stands focused on slicing vegetables, the rhythmic sound of the knife a soothing backdrop. He turns when he hears her approach, concern flickering across his face. “Hey, you okay.?” he asks, wiping his hands on a towel.
“Yeah, I just…” she replies, leaning against the wall beside him.
He studies her for a moment, then nods. “Do you want to talk about earlier? I’m here to listen.”
Anushka sighs, running a hand through her hair. “It’s just bad memories.” she says, her voice barely above a whisper. “I don’t want to remember them.” She sits on the kitchen counter.
Virat hesitates, sensing the weight of her words. “I get that.” he says finally, respecting her unspoken boundaries. “No pressure. Just know I’m here; you can trust me as a friend.”
“Please don’t share that incident with anyone, not even Jeevan bro. I want it buried inside me.” Anushka says, her hands trembling.
“If you won’t share it, how will you cope? You might inspire a lot of girls.” Virat tries to motivate her.
“Thanks for the motivational speech, but I’m not ready to share yet. When the time comes, I’ll definitely tell the world, and you may be the first to know.” She looks away, wiping her eyes.
“Then , I’ll make sure you get justice. That guy will spend a long time in jail—or worse.” Virat resumes chopping.
Suddenly, a dark shadow flickers in front of Anushka’s eyes, and also she hears a manly voice calling her name loudly. “Can we stop talking about that incident, please.?” she screams in a low voice.
“Fine. Wash those veggies and hand them to me.” Virat says, giving her the plate. “Don’t suffer alone.”
“What are you making.?” Anushka asks, eager to change the subject.
“Just some late-night snacks. Thought you might be hungry.” he replies, glancing back at her with a hint of playfulness.
Her stomach rumbles in response, and looks at wall clock ,it shows 3:00am , she laughs softly. “Guess I am hungry. We might see the sun in a few hours.”
As they share light banter, the earlier heaviness fades. Anushka feels warmth spreading through her, realizing that sometimes healing comes from simply being in the presence of someone who cares. In this quiet moment, she feels a sense of safety she hadn’t expected.
After preparing the snacks, Virat pulls out two bowls of ice cream from the freezer. A playful smile lights up his face. “Want to spice things up a bit.?”
Anushka raises an eyebrow, intrigued. “What do you have in mind.?”
“An ice cream challenge.” he says, scooping a generous amount onto a spoon. He leans closer, his gaze locking onto hers. “But with a twist.”
Before she can respond, he playfully smears a bit of ice cream on her nose. “Hey!” she gasps, laughter bubbling up.
Virat chuckles, leaning in to lick it off using his tongue, his breath warm against her skin. Anushka feels a spark shoot through her, the moment electric. “Okay, my turn!” she declares, grinning.
She takes a spoonful and, with a teasing motion, dabs it on his cheek and lick-it off. He looks at her with mock surprise, then leans in closer, their faces just inches apart. “Not bad.” he murmurs, his eyes darkening. “But I think I can do better.”, he dabs ice cream on her neck.
As he leans in to lick the ice cream off from her Neck, the air between them thickens. Anushka’s breath quickens, and she feels a rush of heat as their eyes lock. Their laughter fades into charged silence, their eyes meet and their lips touch.

Meanwhile, in India, Rahul’s sleep is disturbed by phone calls. He groans, rolling over in bed as his phone rings incessantly. Fumbling for it, he finally swipes to answer, irritation lacing his voice. “Rishabh, what’s going on? It’s 4:45 a.m.!”
“Sorry, man, but it’s important. We got information about ‘her’. Check your phone.” Rishabh replies urgently.
“What do you mean? What did you find?” Rahul asks, suddenly wide awake. He sits up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes and grabs his phone.
“Just check the messages. I’ll fill you in once you read it. You’re going to want to know this.” Rishabh insists.
Rahul quickly opens the messages, his heart racing as he scrolls through the updates. A mix of anxiety and curiosity swells within him. “This better be good.” he mutters under his breath.
“Just read.” Rishabh presses. “It’s more than we expected.” Rishabh cuts the call.
Rahul opens the file containing details about her:

Name: Niyamitha Naidu

Rahul calls Rishabh after reading the information. Rishabh picks up. “Did you read.?”
“It’s just half information.” Rahul says, disappointment creeping in.
“I know; that’s all we got in one day. She’s not a normal person; she’s a celebrity.” Rishabh whispers.
Rahul is about to talk when he hears a female voice on the other end. “Rishabh baby, come let’s shower together.”
Rahul teases, “Sasha is calling you, Rishabh baby.”
“Coming, darling, wait.” Rishabh replies, turning his attention back to Rahul. “So, do you have any plans to meet her.?”
“No, I just wanted to know about her.” Rahul yawns.
“Need to go, bye.” Rishabh says.
“Enjoy your shower romance.” Rahul chuckles, cutting the call.
Rahul opens his school photo album, smiling at a picture of his class group, looks at the geeky girl with glasses and no makeup. “You’ve changed a lot.” he murmurs, closing the album as he gets ready for a jog.

Meanwhile, somewhere else in the world, a man in his late 30s enters a dark, messy house. A family tree of the Kulkarni’s hangs on the wall. He hears a noise and turns to see a man in his late 50s sitting in an armchair, dressed in old clothes, white hairs on the head, dark circles under his eyes, a cigar in hand.
“Hello, sir.” he bows.
“How is everything going, Shekhar?” the older man asks.
“Everything is going according to plan, sir. Sooner or later, you’ll hear good news about the downfall of Kabir and his family.” Shekhar replies.
“Yes…” the old man begins to laugh villainously. “His downfall will mark the last day of my exile.” His laughter echoes ominously in the dark, the promise of chaos hanging in the air like a storm waiting to break.
