Meanwhile, the Order of the Veiled Sun is mobilizing. Lorian, conflicted by his feelings for Alara and his loyalty to the Order, returns to them, claiming to know the location of the Astral Key. The Order's leader, a cunning and ruthless figure named Seraphine, sees Alara not just as a threat, but as a valuable asset if she can be brought under their control. Seraphine orders Lorian to capture Alara alive, though Lorian suspects Seraphine may have her own sinister intentions.
