|| chapter six.

Allison's POV

I had forgotten I had work until they called me an hour before hand reminding me.

I had applied there before college; since I needed some extra cash to start saving up for the college life. It wasn't my first day working, but it was the first time I would be driving there from college, not my house. I came up here maybe three times before now to get the gist of what to do, which was all fairly simple. Restock, cashier, and help customers.

It was quite funny when I had told Stiles I had to go work.

"You have a job?" he says, eyes widened.

I furrow my eyebrows as I grab my purse. "Yeah; why don't you?"

"I guess it's not that bad of an idea..." he fades out before looking back up at me. "Where do you work?"

"Victoria's Secret."

Stiles resists the urge to smile, and I could tell his mind was someplace else. "Ah, fun."

"Get your mind out of boob land and go find yourself a job, Stilinski," I laugh as I roll my eyes. I swiftly turn around and leave the room before hearing him shout to me.

"Did you just call me Stilinski?"

I was now standing in front of a cash register, hand on my chin as I waited for a customer. We were usually busy, but since it was getting closer to closing time, things were slowing down. A yawn found it's way onto my face as my eyes close, and it wasn't until I noticed the change of light behind my eyelids when I realized that someone was standing in front of me.

When I opened my eyes, I was surprised to see a guy standing there; a very hot guy, to be exact. He was tall, muscular, and his hair was dark, along with the scruff that was on his chin. He flashes a bright white smile at me as I probably looked star struck, taking in his image. Whoever he was here shopping for, she was lucky.

"Hi, I was wondering if you could help me with something," he asks me as I'm shaken from my daze, nodding my head.

I start to walk around from behind the counter. "Sure. Shopping for your girlfriend?"

He laughs slyly, trying to make it sound realistic, but I could read people like a book. "Yeah."

For a moment I was curious as to why he said it like that, but I got my mind back on track. "What do you need help with?"

He points to a couple of bra's laying down on the table next to us. "I want to buy her a couple of bras for her birthday coming up, and I wasn't sure what size she would be."

I was about to tell him that I wouldn't be much help if he didn't even know the size, but before I could say anything, his eyes trail to my chest, a small smile forming on his face. "I think you and her might be the same size."

My nails dig into the palm of my hand as I resisted the urge to slap him across the face, but I kept myself together. He was just trying to get some bras for his girlfriend. Maybe he wasn't trying to sound perverted. The customer is always right, right?

"I think these will work then," I say as I point towards the table that had the 35C's. I was hoping to get away from him after I directed him to the table, but I was wrong.

He looks back at me. "If you were to get two out of here, which would you get?"

I felt more than a little uncomfortable as I walk over to the table, skimming over the color selections. It didn't take me long before I'm pointing at a bright neon pink bra and one that was a nude lace bra. "I bet she'd like those."

"Thank you so much...Allison," he says while snatching up the two I had picked out, noticing my name tag. He flashes another smile at me before walking around and heading over to the cash register, getting checked out by a strawberry blonde named Avery.

A part of me wanted to know his name, just so I could keep an eye out for him at college, but then another part of me didn't care. He was way too cocky for my taste; not to mention how he crossed the line by looking at my boobs. If I had a boyfriend who checked out other girls, I'd probably be gone in a heartbeat. I guess at least he was buying her VS bras...

"Did you see that guy?" Avery says to me as she bites her lower lip, watching him turn the corner out of our field of vision. "Damn, he was good looking."

"He was also arrogant," I say, noticing Avery's heart eyes as she stared at where she saw him last.

She ignores me. "It's so cute of him to buy his girlfriend bras. How many guys do you know that would do that?"

For some reason, Stiles' name came to my mind.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" I ask Avery out of the blue, curious. She was a pretty girl; it wouldn't surprise me.

She shakes her head, finally looking away from dream boy's last known location. "Broke up with him before I came here. Long distance never works."

"You didn't even want to try?" I ask, cocking my head slightly.

Avery flips her hair over her shoulder. "I've seen the movies and read the books, Allison; it never works out. You have a boyfriend?"

My mind flashes back to the little high school romance I had with a guy that only lasted for a couple of months, but it shouldn't of even been classified as dating. "Nah, boys are lame."

"Amen," Avery says while holding up her hand for a high five, causing me to return the favor. "Well, better go restock so we can get out of here on time."

She turns to walk off as I mumble a reply, not really wanting to go restock, but for sure wanting to get out of here. I've had enough bras and hot cocky boys for one day.

"I got a job."

"No you didn't, Stilinski," I mock from earlier as I shut the door behind me, throwing my purse to the side. "Who would want to hire you?"

Stiles smiles at me. "Apparently the dentist's office downtown."

My eyes widen. "The dentist's office?"

"Yep," Stiles tries to gloat, but I just tried to keep myself from laughing at him. "I even get to wear this bad ass white lab coat-"

"I thought they only hired people for internships?" I ask, ignoring the white coat that Stiles was holding up.

He tosses the coat to the side. "They were short on people; they only need me to do stuff like paperwork and hand the big guy the tools."

"Thank God," I breathe while parking my butt into the closest chair. "I didn't want you to be the one to work on my teeth."

Stiles' eye twitches. "I could be a good dentist-"

"Judging by the urine on the toilet seat, you couldn't keep your hands still enough to poke and prod in people's mouths," I laugh.

I could see the pride in his eyes fading away. "I want a new roommate this instance."

"No you don't," I smile, grabbing a handful of chips that were tossed out onto the table. "It's only been two days; you barely even know me yet."

Stiles takes this as an opportunity. "I know that you had a bowl cut back in third grade and that you can't stand the smell of pickles."

"How do you-"

He holds up his phone. "I found your Facebook."

"I need to delete that thing," I say, ashamed that I hadn't done it sooner. Stiles could seriously black mail me with that type of information. "God, you must have dug deep in order to find out about that bowl cut."

"I had all day basically," he laughs while pulling up the photo again, shining it into my face with joy. "You do look cute; maybe you should get it cut like that again-"

"Keep in mind that I have daggers just three feet away, Stilinski," I threaten, not really being serious. "Might want to watch who's face you point that photo in."

Stiles backs away from me then, shutting his phone off and sticking it into his pocket. "Alight, alright. Geez."

I smile at him politely. "Are you going to that party tonight?"

He sighs. "I guess so. It's a good way to get to know more people around here."

"I agree," I nod, but I really didn't feel like going at all. I was more than tired from work. "What time did the flier say?"

Stiles looks up, thinking. "9, I think."

"You got the Fireball?" I ask, remembering him saying that when we had gotten the paper in the first place.

Stiles exaggerates his nod. "Of course I do."

"Good job, Stilinski."

"Stop calling me that!"
