-Samantha-

I was surprised that I had school in the morning truth be told especially considering what the other me had done to the cafeteria, the kitchen and the gym wall. Other than a headache and being drowsy I felt fine.

I was at my locker when Victoria came up to me looking wide eyed and slightly frantic. "Sam, did you know?" She asked me as she nibbled on her bottom lip.

I frowned at her as I grabbed my books. "Did I know what?" I asked her.

"Nathan, is evil!" She exclaimed.

I slowly blinked at her. "Yes I know that, he's a total asshole who cheats at Super Smash brothers and then says his finger slipped. I don't think someone's finger can slip five times! And he wonders why I rage quit,"I grumbled.

Victoria frowned this time, and for a few moments she was silent, then she shook her head. "No, Sam he's supposed to be this weird demon thingie. My grandma told me so," she whispered to me.

I froze briefly at what she told me before I rolled my eyes.

I can't believe this there's no way.

"Victoria, I mean this as your friend and I want you to remember that okay," I told her.

She nodded and I smiled. "Please, give me some of those amazing pills you must have, because I have a really bad migraine," I told her.

She crossed her arms and pouted at me. "Sam, I'm serious my grandma showed me this book filled with stuff about a place called the Darkzone in it. I didn't believe her either at first but then, she did this trippy spell and my shadow disappeared for about an hour. I-I can't ever look at shadows the same anymore," she explained.

Holy shit, you and me both.

I let out a sigh as I massaged my temple. "I'm serious too, Victoria. My head is killing me. Also I want to believe you in fact I'm trying to but it just sounds too odd. Plus, think about it Nathan of all people a demon," I muttered frowning.

Victoria bit her lip as she frowned also. "Well, now that you mention it I don't think I could picture him as a demon," she said.

Just dye his hair black, give him silver eyes and make him act like a jerk then you will.

"You couldn't picture me as what?"

Victoria paled in front of me as Nathan approached us. She turned to me. "Well, Sam I'm glad that I could talk to you! Bye!" She said before practically running off.

Nathan frowned then looked at me. "Did I do something?" He asked me.

I was silent for a few moments before I spoke. "Victoria knows about the Darkzone. And she thought you were a demon but I changed her mind on latter," I mumbled.

"What!"

I looked up and saw Nathan staring at me in wide eyed shock. "Sam, please tell me your joking," he pleaded.

"At the moment my head hurts too much for me to be joking, plus it's too early and I've had too little sleep," I sighed. "By the way where were you, Nathan? You're usually here before me not to mention you look tired too."

He frowned and bit his lip. "I was helping my dad with something," he mumbled softly.

Helping his dad with something?

"As long as everything is alright," I said.

He let out a small chuckle, "As good as it can be."

"But what about you, Sam?" He asked me, "After all I'm not the one who's went through a body metamorphosis, charged through five walls and ate a fridge worth of food before having a seizure."

I smiled slightly my face heating up slightly.

I know Nathan's seen me at my worst my but that's a whole new level!

"Really, I thought the reason I had a migraine was because I spent too much time yelling when I rage quit," I mumbled.

During class I noticed Victoria looked nervous. She kept watching the clock and biting her pen.

This is the only time I miss that lazy substitute teacher.

When the teacher wasn't looking I tapped her on the the shoulder with my pen. "What's wrong?" I whispered.

She shrugged slightly as she looked at me. "It's nothing, just thinking about the shadow thing, you still don't believe me do you?" She asked softly.

"No, I believe you, just having a hard time picturing it," I whispered as I pretended to be working on my worksheet.

"If you want we can talk about it at lunch," she suggested copying my actions.

"Good idea," I sighed softly as I tapped my pencil.
