The first time Prof. Favre had stumbled across a different universe, he instinctively knew just what was happening. What he was witnessing and yet, that didn't mean he can't help, but feel bad. Feeling bad that he can only watch and not do anything. Was he really content to just watch and not do anything?

No.

He didn't have any powers to even remotely appear, let alone maintain the one screen he was able to procure to watch the world he had stumbled upon.

He felt so weak, extremely weak really. Is this what The Powerless God had meant when they explained how he had sacrificed so much of his very existence to escape? He didn't even know what he was escaping, he just knew that he felt...restricted. Was that even the right word to describe the feeling he had? He still didn't have all of his memories.

The Powerless God and The Harbinger of Destruction are still trying to figure out what to do with that issue, but they both knew that prodding his locked mind too much could be detrimental to his health. Not that he complained, he was already beyond healthy, despite looking as such.

Granted, he had a weird artifact embedded in his chest, so there's that. Even then, Powerless and Harbinger had tried to keep him company whenever they could, but their work is always keeping them busy. He, at first, didn't know what their work was, but watching the world he found, he understood just what their work is.

A never ending loop, sometimes it branches off and becomes its own alternative world, but sometimes, just sometimes, it is fragmented beyond the point of salvation.

Powerless God needing to constantly restart the Loop and Harbinger of Destruction needing to destroy any remnants that could pose a problem to the Loop itself.

A never ending Quest and a Twisted Reality.

Being left in this plains area by both Powerless and Harbinger is...lonely. They said they wanted him to stay in the plains to recover from his episode, to rest so no one else could find him, but it was so lonely. He didn't like the idea of being alone like this. He thought there would at least be some animals, but there weren't any and that was what makes this place so unnerving.

It was quiet and unmoving.

It was extremely eerie and very uncomfortable.

He sighs as he continues to watch the world, it seems as though it won't follow the loop at all. If they were lucky, they branched off as a new worldline but if they weren't? They would most likely be completely destroyed, with either survivors without a world to return to or just straight up gone.

And yet, the more he watched, the more he got curious and saw other worlds– Powerless God did give him access to the System. Whatever that is.

And he used the System to watch more worlds he found, past and present, sure it horrified him when he saw how many worlds ended, destroyed or just plain erased from existence. But he did see worlds that were happy, he likes those worlds.

But what he wished he could do was help.

Specifically, he wished he could have helped those that have been survivors that lost their worlds or had been rejected.

Perhaps, when he is strong enough to handle himself, he could build himself a safe haven. Even a Lab! He's a Professor, of course he would need a Lab!...

But that wouldn't mean much if he was still lonely. Maybe he'll ask Powerless God and Harbinger of Destruction if they both could help him feel less lonely. Maybe he could have an Assistant to make him feel lonely, he could find ways to help those that have been lost, exiled or simply in search of a home.

Yeah, he could do all that when he feels ready...

He waved his hand to close all the screens, except one.

Just watching this particular person, if he remembers correctly, the others called them...

The Writer of Tragedy.

Just seeing them makes them feel the unnerving despair of disappointment and loneliness.

Prof. Favre hopes they never meet.

He hums as he does some paperwork, it was simple, mundane work that anyone with an office job or generally any work involving paper would be able to handle just fine. Sure, his two dearest Assistants were busy helping out Galaxy Assistant with getting used to their chores. Which he didn't want to hand over, but a growing teenager needs to learn that chores are a common part of life, so he let it be.

Other than that, he faintly recalled how he had made a promise to build this very Lab to others, he managed to fulfill such dreams.

Thinking about it, he might as well go visit the area, after all, personally building a whole village not too far from the Lab to house and nurse all those that have been lost, exiled or survivors of their worlds and universes are no easy feat. He himself is an example since he came from the Void itself.

Nonetheless, he got up, grabbed his coat and left the lab.

After all, so long as they're all within this world he created, they will be safe under his protection and care for as long as they wished for.

Now if only he could get rid of The First Curse that's living in his basement, but alas, he can't hurt the guy since he's under both Rainbow Quest AND Twisted Rainbow protection.

He stops as he looks out the window, watching Rainbow Assistant and Assistant Steve teached and show Galaxy Assistant how to handle gardening work. Honestly, the sight made him smile.

He's glad he's not alone anymore and most of all, he has this world and all those he shelters to protect.

Doesn't seem like much, but shockingly enough, both prompts were exactly easy to write with in regards to Prof. Favre, so I had to improvise quite a bit and cut this shorter than I normally would have gone for. Also, subtle as it may be, The Powerless God and The Harbinger of Tragedy have purposely left Prof. Favre alone in that empty world to protect him.

Protect him from what? Who knows.
